Scrapbook for Yates...Part 1

Aren't babies just the best?
And for those of you who are already grandparents...isn't it "grand"?
I love being a grandparent (better known as Nonna around my house).
I have a special friend who is becoming a grandparent for the very first time in just a few more weeks.
She and her hubby are going to be awesome grands and I know they can hardly wait to hold that sweet little baby boy in their arms.  His name will be Yates... don't you just love it!

So...I have been working like a crazy woman trying to put together a scrapbook for Yates.
I thought I would share a few pages with you along the way...

This will of course be the first page in the scrapbook.

*That cute little stork is from "Wrap It Up" and I cut this at 5 inches.
I used the "Swiss Dots" and "Candy Cane Stripes" Cuttlebug folders on the stork as well.

*The baby bootie is from "New Arrival", cut at 2 1/2 inches and embossed with "Swiss Dots".

*The birth information is computer generated.

*The title border is made with a Martha Stewart Punch and the letters are from "Alphalicious" at 1 inch.
I added a few buttons from my stash and the cute ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

Pages 2 and 3....

I love this blue and green combo!

Lots of rick-rack on this page! And, I love the airplane.

*The plane is from "New Arrival" and is cut at 3 inches. I used the "Swiss Dots" folder to emboss.

*I cut this out twice and used pop-dots for some dimension.

*For the banner, I used my gel pen to add some stitching lines and baker's twine to "attach" it to the plane.

Close up of plane.

Lots more rick-rack on this page...can you tell that I really, really like rick-rack?

*The corner mat is made using a Martha Stewart punch.
I gathered up the rick-rack and secured it with a button.

*I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder "Seeing Dots" to emboss the front of my journaling pocket.
And made a small journaling tag for the new mommy to jot down her thoughts.

Well, that's all for now!  I'll be back with more pages for Yates soon.  Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping in to visit...come back soon!

Until next time,
