What's The Scoop?

Good morning and welcome to my little corner of the crafting world!
I hope your Monday is off to a great start!  If you're looking for something good about Mondays, look no further!  Mondays mean it's time for another Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and that's always a good thing!

Our challenge this week is I Scream For Ice Cream! Make anything with some sort of ice-cream on it and remember, it must have at least one Cricut cut!

Here's my card for today's challenge...

Recipe for this cute little ice-cream truck:

* Patterned Paper - K&Company - Around the World paper stack
* Solid paper - most is from Brazzill, some from my paper scraps
* Twine - Pink Paislee
* Ice Cream brad - Doddlebug
* Skittles - Recollections
* Ice Cream truck is from Pop Up Neighborhood cut at 4 inches
* Sentiment - Pink By Design - Simply Everything stamp set

I cut out two layers for the ice cream truck from my aqua cardstock.  I also used the black out feature to cut one layer from a piece of clear plastic.  (I save my clamshell packing from new Cricut cartridges, they work great for this!) I used the clear plastic layer on the bottom, then adhered the first truck layer.  Next came pop-dots and the top layer.  You can see a bit of the shine in this photo. I love the way it turned out...it looks like actual windows!

In this photo, you can see how the layers are popped up.

* I used a Martha Stewart punch to create the colorful borders along the side. I think the twine and ice cream brad add a nice little touch!
* After running the ice cream cone through the Burlap Cuttlebug folder, I pop-dotted it to the truck for some dimension and added some Stickles for some bling.
* I decided to stamp the sentiment right on top of the truck and really like how that turned out!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my card for today! I hope you will stop by and visit FCCB to see the wonderful Ice Cream projects that have been created by my fellow Design Team Members.  They are a wonderfully talented group of ladies and you won't be disappointed!  After your visit....go....get creative..then post your project at FCCB, I can't wait to see what you create!

Until next time,
Tanya
