You Rattle My Bones

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
I guess you can tell I'm in full-blown Halloween mode around here! I love this fun stamp from the A Haunting We Will Go stamp set Pink By Design. And, I know the wording is just a bit different, but since starting this card I can't get that old Jerry Lee Lewis song outta my head!  You know the one.....

"you shake my nerves and you rattle my brain...goodness gracious great balls of fire"!

So...to Sarah...the creator and head-honcho at Pink By Design...thanks!  It's now 1:00 in the morning and that song is still rattling around in my brain!  Of course the cup of coffee I had at 10:30 might have something to do with it!

Anyway, I haven't taken part in a challenge in a long time and found myself looking for one to play along with this week.  I stopped by Card Patterns and found a great sketch for this weeks challenge and thought I might give it a try....

This handsome guy is from Cricut's Happy Haunting cartridge and I cut him out at 5 inches.  I cut the bottom layer twice and used pop dots between the layers.  His bones are covered in Glossy Accents and his hat in Martha Stewart's Sugar Plum glitter with a stripe of Stickles in Lime Green.

The papers for this card are left over from other Halloween projects.  I know that some are from DCWV and the rest are from my scrap box.  I stamped my sentiment with Silver ink by Color Box and heat embossed it with Star Dust embossing powder by Stampendous. That fabulous stamp is from the A Haunting We Will Go stamp set from Pink By Design.  The bright orange ribbon is from my ribbon stash and the gems are from Recollections.

I think you can see the shine from the Glossy Accents a little better in this photo....

Ok...I've got to go rattle myself straight to bed now!  I'll be seeing you all later!  Don't forget to stop by Card Patterns and check out the sketch and all the fabulous entries!

Until next time,

  6. This is SO cool! I love all of the papers and cuts you used, but my favorite thing about it is that it's not traditional. It's all about halloween, but just that little ribbon three-peat with a small touch of traditional orange just takes it over the top for me. I love anything that kinda breaks the rules, so this is my favorite Halloween card to date! So very clever!!!
