Ok...now it's time for.... Fantabulous Friday!
I hope that you will jump over to Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and check out my post for this week.  Here's a quick little peek at one of my projects...

A Card for John

Hello everyone!
I hope you are having a great day!  No complaints from me today :0)

Today's card is for a very special little boy that I learned about on the Cricut Message Board.
His name is John Hoffman Jr. and he is nine years old.
John is undergoing treatment for stage 4 cancer which is in his skull and lungs.
His mom said he loves getting things in the mail, so I thought I would get busy and
send this sweet boy a card today.  If you would like to send John a card, his address is

John Hoffman Jr.
5835 W. 2nd Street
Rio Linda, CA  95673

You can learn more about John at his blogspot, HERE.
If you would like to send John a card, I know his family would appreciate your
efforts to brighten John's day!

Here is my card for John...

I used Boys Will Be Boys and cut the space ship at 4 inches.
I hope he likes the metallic paper!
I added Stickles to the stars to make them pop out a bit!
The stamp is from Pink By Design.

If you have a chance, share the info about John.
I'm sure his family will appreciate it!

Until next time,

Mom's The Word!

Good Monday Morning to you!
I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter.
My husband and I attended the Sunrise Service at our church yesterday and it was such a
wonderful, moving service.  I feel so blessed to have a God that loves me so!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's time for another Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and
I hope you will join in the fun with us this week.
This week's challenge is Mom's The Word...
create any project with the word Mom, Mother, Mommy, etc.
Remember to use at least one Criuct cut on your project.
The lovely, talented ladies of the Design Team has some wonderful projects to inspire you for this challenge, so don't forget to stop by FCCB for a visit!
Here is my project for this week's  challenge....
I decided to create an Easel card this week using one of my favorite cartridges, Florals Embellished.
Recipe:
*The card base is made with Bazzill Paper (French Vanilla)
*Patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye (Summer Song Stack)
*I used the image from page 57, cut at 4 1/2 inches.  The Shadow is cut twice and I used pop-dots
between the layers.
*The green mat is cut from Lacy Labels, cut at 2 3/4 inches.  I cut two of these and
used pop-dots here also.
*The phrase is from Florals Embellished and I cut it at 2 1/4 inches.
*I inked up all the layers and added a few gems and some ribbon.
I love all the layers these images have...so much depth and dimension!
Another view of all those luscious layers!
Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you have enjoyed your visit!
Now, it's your turn and I look forward to seeing your creations on FCCB!
Purse-onally Wishing You A Happy Birthday!
Happy Wednesday to you!
I hope your day is going well.  I had a chance to play upstairs in my craft corner
this morning...so...my day is off to a great start!
I recently stumbled across a great challenge blog.... Birthday Sundaes.
Every project must have "birthday wording" on it somewhere...Happy Birthday, Celebrate, etc.
My birthday card stash is getting low and I had some time this morning...sooooo...
Recipe...
* Paper - DCWV - The Sweet Stack
* Purse - "Kate's ABC's" cut at 2 3/4 inches.  I used Rangers "Worn Lipstick" ink and a gel pen.
The button is a tiny, brown brad and a few pearls make nice centers for the flowers.
*White mat - Nestabilities "Labels 11" - I cut 2 layers and used pop dots for some dimension.
The top layer was run through my Cuttlebug using the Textile Textures folder.
*Sentiment - "Shopaholic" set from Pink By Design
*Top Corners - I cut 2 triangles and used a Martha Stewart punch on the bottom edge.
*Pom Pom ribbon was purchased at Michael's
I love the pom-poms!
Close up of that cute little purse!
Ok, that's it for now...time to join the "real world" and get started helping Emma
with some homework and trying to figure out what's for supper.
Until next time,
All Ears!
Good Morning!
I have been trying to get my Easter cards finished up and I've got a cutie to share with you today.
This card is for that special friend who is always there and always willing to lend an ear...
This is a 4 X 9 card made with some great purple cardstock.
The Easter themed paper was left over from a couple of years ago and I don't know who made it.
Mats...
*I used "Accent Essentials" to create the small mats.  I used the image on page 78, cutting 6
mats from white cardstock at 2 3/4 inches and inked them up with Ranger's Worn Lipstick ink.
I then used pop dots between the layers, creating 3 white, layered mats.
*Again using the cut from page 78, I cut 3 mats at 2 1/2 inches from the printed paper.  These were adhered to the white mats.
Bunnies...
*The bunnies are cut from "Doodlecharms" at 2 1/2 inches.  I cut 4 bunnies, inked the edges and used pop-dots to give them some dimension.
*The noses are painted with Smoohes and the eyes are tiny black gems.  The whiskers and mouths were drawn in with a gel pen.
Sentiment....
*I created the flower using "Accent Essentials" using the cut on page 37. This was cut at 2 1/2 inches.
*The stamp is from the "Hoppy Easter" set by Pink By Design.
I really love using pop-dots between the layers, it gives so much dimension to a card...
I love the way the layers are popped up!
I am going to enter this card in the weekly challenge at My Sheri Crafts.
This week's challenge (#53) is Bunnies.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit and as always, I appreciate you stopping by for awhile!
Until next time,
Here is my project for this week's challenge...
For this card, I used the cute little chick from "Celebrate With Flourish".
I inked all the edges and used a black gem for his eye.
The white border is from a Martha Stewart punch and I layered ribbon on top.
The flowers are Prima flowers from my stash of embellishments.
Berry Special Friend
Hello everyone!  I'm happy to see that you stopped by for a visit!
I just received the Imagine cartridge "Better Together" in the mail yesterday.
I have really neglected working with my Imagine and I'm hoping that a new
cartridge will inspire me...hey...I'm trying to justify buying yet another cartridge...ok?
So, I did take the time to sit down and make a cute little card last night.
It's a very simple card and took just a few minutes to put together,
but I think it turned out pretty cute...
Don't know if you can see it in the photo very well, but the blue plaid paper has some
really nice sparkly glitter running through the stripes.  The plaid is from DCWV's
"dots, stripes and plaids" paper stack and is layered over a mat of red cardstock.
The sentiment mat is cut at 3 inches.  I cut two mats and pop-dotted them together.
The strawberries are cut at 2 inches and 2 1/2 inches.  I also cut those in doubles and
used pop dots between the layers.
I finished up the card with some great red Baker's Twine and a white button.
Fast and simple...but cute...remember cute!
And now....aahhhh...I do feel inspired to go create more goodies with my Imagine!
Hopefully I will have more to share with you soon.
Thanks for visiting...see you soon!
Until next time,
Spring Fling Cricut Crawl
It's Spring Time, even though some places may not look like it :) and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to have a Spring Fling!   Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Spring project that includes Pink, Green and Yellow on it along with at least one Cricut cut.
If you've come from visiting Tamara at Happy Life Crafty Wife, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE.
Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Spring Fling" project at FCCB!
How fun is that?
Now...on to my project.....Signs of Spring...
(click photo to enlarge)
I love, love, love spring time and I wanted to make something special to display in my home
that celebrates this wonderful time of year.  I started this project with one ideal in my head and it
evolved into something totally different, but I must say...I really love the end result.
I started with a 10 X 20 artist canvas that I painted a soft creamy, yellow.
Most of the paper I used is from the "Sweet Pea" paper stack by Paper Studio.
I also used lots of Zip Dry glue and tape!
The edges of all the mats and cuts are inked with Ranger's "Vintage Photo" ink.
*The green background mats are cut at 4 1/2 X 3 3/4 inches.
The printed mats are cut at 4 1/4 X 3 1/2 inches.
This photo is of the first two panels...
* The first panel is the Spring banner from "April Showers".  It is cut at 1 1/4 inches and I
pop-dotted the layers together, added some bling and a few buttons.
* Panel #2 is the rose bush from "Freshly Picked".  This was cut twice at 3 1/2" and pop-dotted for a bit of dimension.  I used the Sizzix folder "Burlap" to emboss the bag and tied it up with a bit of twine.  A few gems in the center of each rose adds a bit of bling.  The corners are made with a Martha Stewart punch and gems.
The next two panels...
* Panel #3 is the kite from "Nate's ABC's".  The kite is cut at 3 1/4" and again, pop-dotted.
I used a Nestabilities to cut out the cloud shape and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the "Swirls" folder.
I added a few gems to the bows on the kite and some brads in 2 corners of the mat.
* Panel #4 is also from Nate's ABC's.  This cute little scene is cut at 2 1/2 inches and pop-dotted.
I added some crinkle ribbon and a bow to finish this panel.
Next...
* Panel #5 is the beautiful butterfly from "Sentimentals".  I cut this at 2 1/4 inches, pop-dotted the layers and added pearls.  I also added Stickles to the wings.  The trim on each edge of this mat was created using a Martha Stewart punch.
Panels 6 & 7...
* Panel 6 is the watering can from "April Showers".  I cut this out twice at 2 inches and used pop-dots to lift up the top layer.  I added little flowers from a MS punch with a gem in each center.  Crinkle ribbon and a button finish off this panel.
* Panel 7 is from "Nate's ABC's"...I love this cartridge!  This was cut at 2 3/4 inches with the layers pop-dotted.  The green leaves along the side are from a MS punch and I added a few pearls to the opposite side.
Panel 8...(the most important panel)
* Panel # 8 is the most simple, yet most important panel in this project.  This cut is from "Inspired Heart".
I cut the figure of Christ at 4 inches.  The blue mat is cut twice and the layers are put together with pop-dots.
A bit of crinkle ribbon is the only decoration on this panel.
And finally...panels 9 and 10...
* Panel #9 is the birdhouse from "April Showers" cut at 2 3/4 inches.  I added the layered flower (also from this cartridge) ....again the layers are pop-dotted.  The borders at the top and bottom of the mat are from a MS punch with a gem in each corner.
* Panel #10 is from "Celebrate With Flourish".  The basket was cut twice at 3 1/4 inches and pop-dotted together.  I added a bow to the handle.  The grass is from a MS punch.  A button in the top corners is the finishing touch.
And...again....the whole project....
I truly enjoyed working on this project and I know it is something I will enjoy displaying each spring for many years to come.  Thank you for giving me the chance to share my love of paper-crafting with you!  I always enjoy your visits and the sweet, encouraging comments you leave!  And now...I have something else to share with you....
To help celebrate SPRING, I will be giving away this great cartridge, "Freshly Picked".
There are only 2 rules..
1. You must leave a comment on this post
2. You must be a follower
I will have a drawing and announce the winner on Monday, April 18th!
Cute As A Button
Hello everyone...hope your weekend is going well.
I have been playing in my craft room today...I finally got my hands on Kate's ABC's!
I was so excited to get this cart...at last!  It has the cutest, sweetest images on it.
It's been such a long time since I have made a project for a challenge, I thought I might play along with one while I try out my new cartridge.  Sheri over at My Sheri Crafts has a cute challenge going this week.
Challenge #52 is to use buttons somewhere on your project.
Now, I love me some buttons...and while I was flipping through Kate's handbook,
I came across the perfect image...
I love these colors!
The paper is from a DCWV stack called Nana's Nursery Baby Girl.
I cut the hat out twice at 2 inches and pop-dotted the layers together.
The phrase is cut at 2 inches also.
I used my white gel pen, some crinkle ribbon and those all important buttons!
I think this card turned out pretty cute and I'm anxious to play with this cartridge again.
I also would like to invite you again to our upcoming
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog
Cricut Crawl on Monday, April 11th!
I'm really excited to share my Spring Fling project with you and I also
Celebrate Spring
Good afternoon!
I can't believe that it's afternoon already...where has this day gone?
I have been working like crazy trying to get ready for the upcoming Cricut Crawl at
the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and just realized that I haven't made even one
Easter card this year. How sad is that?
So...I was determined to get at least one Easter card finished today...
I love the paper I used.  It is a paper stack from DCWV called "Nana's Nursery".
The paper has tiny little bunnies on it and is perfect for an Easter card!
Recipe:
*Large scallops are from "Lacy Labels".  I used label #16 cut at 4 1/4 inches. I cut the bottom layer twice and used pop-dots between the layers.
*Rabbit - "Celebrate With Flourish" cut at 3 1/2 inches.
*Sentiment mat - "Lacy Labels".  I used label #13 cut at 1 3/4 inches
*Sentiment - stamp is from the "Hoppy Easter" set by Pink By Design
I think maybe you can see the layers and a bit of the inside in this photo.
Ok...that's one Easter card finished!
I also wanted to tell you a bit about the upcoming Spring Fling Cricut Crawl hosted by
Rainy Days and Mondays....
....don't have to get you down!
Especially when you join us in the fun at
This week's challenge is all about having fun with those rainy, spring days!  Our challenge this week is...
April Showers
Make any spring project using a hat or an umbrella.
Remember to use at least one Cricut cut!
Here is my project for this week's challenge...
Recipe:
* Paper - DCWV - Latte Stack
I started with a solid brown mat adhered to my 5 X 7 card.  Then I added 4 panels of striped paper layered on top of the solid green cardstock.  Then I ran the dark blue mat (5 X 4) through my Cuttlebug using the Sizzix folder "Swirls".  This was layered on top of another brown mat and centered on my 4 panels.
* Next, I used the Cricut cartridge "A Child's Year" to cut out the little boy with an umbrella.  This cut was made at 4 1/2 inches using the light blue paper. I used a darker blue to cut the same image using the Shadow Feature.  I cut this layer twice so that I could layer them using pop-dots.
* The circles were cut using the Cricut cartridge "George". The light blue circle was cut at 2 1/4 inches, the darker blue at 2 1/2 inches and I cut 2 brown circles at 2 3/4 inches.  I used pop-dots between the two brown circles so that it would stand out against the mat.
* The sentiment is from a stamp by Stampology.  I stamped it with brown ink and used my embossing gun along with some holographic embossing powder.
* To finish up, I added some twine and a button from my button jar.
And here's the inside of the card...
After layering my papers, I added the umbrella cut at 1 3/4 inches.
I hope you have enjoyed my card for this week's challenge.
Now, it's your turn...get creative and link up your project at FCCB!
I can't wait to see what you create!
Until next time,
