Bonjour

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner.
I hope your week is going well for you!  It's been a good one here, but busy (as usual).  My hubby and I are putting in a lot of hours working on our VBS set for church.  We have a "VBS Kick-Off Party" on April 29th and I hope to have about 90% of the set completed for the party....time to go into over-drive!

Tomorrow I get to spend the day with Emma (my grand) as we try to construct a waterfall for an upcoming school project...this should be fun!  She could choose any sort of land form and chose a waterfall of all things!  No flat desert or play-dough volcano for my girl...noooo...we have to make a waterfall!  The hardest part for me to is to remember to let EMMA do most of the work!  This is HER project and it should reflect HER work and look like it was completed mostly by a child in the 1st grade.  Not by a grandmother with tooooo many crafting supplies on her hands ;o)

So, after all of that...I do have a card to share with you today.  This card came together from thoughts of traveling (although I'm not going anywhere...anytime soon).  I guess it's because Spring Break has arrived and summer is just around the corner....makes me want to hit the road.  Anyway, I'm sure that someone I know will be going somewhere sometime and I can give them this card!

Recipe:

*Paper:  Printer Paper is from Paper Studio's - "Adventure, The World Awaits" pack
Solids are Bazzill
* Card Base -  I used the "Cricut Craft Room" program to weld together two stamp images found on the "Pack Your Bags" cartridge.  These were cut at 5 inches.
* For the frame around my card I used CCR again.  This time when I used the stamp image, I placed a rectangle inside it creating a frame.  I used pop-dots to lift my frame off the card a bit.
* The suitcase is also from "Pack Your Bags" and is cut at 3 inches.
* Sentiment tag is from "Art Philosophy", page 68. The red layer is cut at 2.25 inches and the gold layer is cut at 2 inches.
* Sentiment- Pink By Design stamp set Ticket To Ride

In this photo you can see the layers a bit better...

So...if you know anyone that going somewhere someday...I've got the perfect card to wish them a wonderful trip!  Oh well, it was a fun card to make!

I'm going to run now and try to get a few more things crossed off my list.  I hope you have a wonderful Good Friday, a great weekend and a Blessed Easter Sunday!

Until next time,

  4. Bonjour Tanya,
A waterfall....that will be such fun. An idea popped into my head right away, and your creativity dwarfs mine, so I see maybe Niagara Falls in your future. ;) I am sure you will get everything done and it will all be pure genius...just like this card. Love the colors, love the papers, everything is perfect. Good luck getting all your missions accomplished, and have a wonderful Easter, my talented friend.
