Days Like This

Hello and welcome!
I hope you are having a good week in your corner of the world.  Things are going well here, busy, but well. My little Lola (my yorkie) is at the vet as I type this.  She had her little surgery today (spayed) and I'm missing her right about now.  It was terrible leaving her there this morning!  She was all shaky and nervous and I wanted to cry.  She has to stay over night, which I hate, but know it's best.  We took her blanket and her "baby" (a stuffed lion she sleeps with every night) so she would have something familiar with her.  Poor baby.  I am a bit apprehensive about taking care of her afterwards and making sure she is comfortable, but I can't wait to go pick her up in the morning!

So...what better way to take my mind off of Lola than to get upstairs into my craft corner?  I have been having so much fun working with this fabulous set of stamps that Sarah from Pink By Design recently released.  "Days Like This" is a darling, fun, retro set of stamps that truly speak to my heart!

I am also loving putting together sets of cards, complete with fun little gift boxes that I plan to use as Christmas gifts this year.  You can click Here to see another cute set that I put together using a great stamp set from Close To My Heart.  Ok...so, let's get to today's project...

How fun are these?
Recipe:
* Stamps - Pink By Design "Days Like This" stamped with "Chocolate" ink from CTMH
* Mats - all cut with Spellbinders dies and inked in "Barn Door" Distress Ink from Ranger
* Papers - "Modern Homemaker" from October Afternoon (I ♥ this paper)
* Red ribbon from Michael's
* Stationary box is from the Silhouette Online Store

I sooo wish I could tie a pretty box for my stationary box!
It did actually look better when I finished up taking photos and put the cards back into the box.

I believe the sentiment on the left was written just for me!

So, are these fun or what?
Not only were they fun to put together, they went together pretty quickly.  Using one paper stack and one set of stamps really speeds things up!  And I love all the fun box shapes available from the Silhouette Online store.  I think I will be making more sets like this in the future.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I always look forward to reading your sweet comments!

Until next time,

  15. All the projects are perfection Tanya! Absolute perfection! I have never seen that stamp set before and I am going to have to order it. It's wonderful!!! It's going to be a long night for you, but Lola will do fine. We had Ozzy's surgery about a month ago and he is just fine. He's calmed down some and really loving now compared to before. It doesn't make it easier, but it does get better.

  17. These are so fun, Tanya!! I just love the retro look! The papers are so bright and cheerful too!
I do hope that Lola is recovering well - and that you are too! It's so hard to leave pets at the vet knowing that they don't understand what's going on.
