Trick or Treat?

Hi there and happy Wednesday to you!
So, right here in the middle of all the Valentine frenzy, I have a Halloween project to share with you!  No, I haven't gone completely around the bend (ok, so the verdicts still out on that one).  This Halloween project is one that was published in the October issue of Cricut Magazine.  I finally received my project back from the folks at Cricut and thought I would share it with you!  Again, I don't have great photos because I only took basic pics to send to Cricut.  I had thought that once it was returned to me, I could take some decent shots.  However, it was returned to me in less than perfect condition (not happy with that).   So, I'm going to show you what it looked like in the magazine then I'll share my  "not so great" photos.....

Cricut Magazine - October 2012
pages 58 -59

And, here are the photos I took before mailing my project to Cricut mag...

Plain, white, boring background - but it will have to do!
*I used the Teresa Collins "Chic & Scary" cartridge for the treat bags and used my white gel pen to add some stitching lines.
*  I made a couple of rosettes in bright orange and lime green.
* The cat and bat are both from the "Chic & Scary" cartridge and are covered with fine black glitter made by Martha Stewart.

* I filled the plastic bags with orange candy and tied them up with some twine.
* The tags are stamped with Halloween sentiments created by "Pink By Design".

Ok, I'll let you get back to all the fabulous Valentine treats being posted this time of year!  Thanks for letting me share my Halloween goodies with you.  It was so exciting to have a project chosen for publication and I couldn't wait until next Halloween to share with you!  Hope the rest of your week is wonderful and I'll be seeing you soon (with a Valentine project).....

Until next time,

When life gives you lemons,

Hi there and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
Well, it's Monday again, isn't it?  Those weekends sure do seem to fly by quickly.  I hope you had a nice one.  I spent most of mine upstairs in my Craft Corner working on some fun new projects that I will be able to share with you soon....just not yet!  In the meantime, I do have a sweet card to share with you.  I think this one is perfect for anyone having "one of those days"....

* Recipe:
* This fun little lemonade stand is from My Scrap Chick and I think is is so cute!
* I cut out the awning section twice and used pop-dots between the layers to give it a bit of dimension on my card.
* The fabulous sentiments are from the new Peachy Keen Stamp Set Fruit Sentiments Two.

* I used a woodgrain embossing folder on the red portions of the lemonade stand.
* The ice cubes got a bit of Diamond Stickles for a bit of sparkle
* I used some pretty "Lemon Tart" twine from Trendy Twine and a bright red button to finish up this fun, happy card.

I hope your day isn't filled with "lemons"! But....if it is....go make some lemonade and remember that tomorrow is another day (at least according to Scarlett O'Hara)!  Thanks for stopping by, have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon....

Until next time,

Hi there and happy Friday to you!
Are you ready for the weekend?  Got something fun planned?  If you have some free crafting time and are looking for fun challenge, I've got just the thing for you!  This week's challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps is just perfect with Valentine's Day being just around the corner.....

Peachy Keen Challenge 13-4
Just Cards :  Heart of Hearts

That's right, this week's challenge is all about Hearts and just in time to inspire your Valentine creations!  I'm excited to share my card with you today.  This one is for my hubby....

Recipe:
* I created an easel card using red Bazzil Cardstock
* I added a pretty striped paper and used my white gel pen to add a few stitching lines
* The sweet white lace is from Hobby Lobby
* I chose a heart shaped 3D box from the Silhouette Online Store and cut out the top only.  After putting it together, I added lace around the outside and lots of doodles with my gel pen.
*  I also chose a lace doily from the Silhouette Online Store. It took a couple of tries to get it the right size for the inside of my box, but I finally cut one that worked!

*Next comes the fun chocolates!  These goodies are from the Peachy Keen Stamp Club PKSC-13 and they are so, so cute!
* After stamping them and coloring the candies, I covered each piece with Glossy Accents and sprinkled on some Martha Stewart Coarse Glitter....yum!
* The sentiment is also from the PKSC-13 set and is stamped on a mat cut with Spellbinders Die "Labels 17".

Here is a side view of my card....

I hope you will stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and see what the ladies on our fabulous Design Team have to share with you today...talk about inspiration!  Be sure to link up your project with us at Peachy Keen Stamps...I look forward to seeing what you create!

** I will be entering this card into the "Love ya" challenge going on over at Cameo Creations .

Valentine Treat and Give-Away Winner!

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday to you!
I hope your having a good week so far.  Mine is going well -just too quickly!  Can you believe that we only have another week in January?  Better get moving on those Valentine treats!  If you need a treat in a hurry, I've got one that might just work for you.  This was super easy and fast to put together and, I love the way it turned out.....

Recipe:
*  I found this cute little glass jar at Hobby Lobby - it has a fun, wooden top and a little wooden spoon attached to the side of the jar.
* I bought a HUGE jar of jelly beans at Sam's Club and picked out all of the red, pink and white jelly beans for this project.  I also pulled out enough green jelly beans for upcoming St. Patrick's Day projects!  Look at me...thinking ahead!
* The tag is made from my Spellbinders Oval dies in two sizes with pop dots between them.
* I used the sweet "Love" sucker from January's Peachy Keen Stamp Club (PKSC-13).  I stamped the image with red ink, then covered the sucker portion with Glossy Accents.
* I colored in the stick portion with a gold gel pen.

* I punched a hole in the top of my tag and added a gold brad.  I used some "Cherry Cupcake" twine from Trendy Twine to make a sweet bow and attach my tag to the tulle I tied around the opening of my jar.  A little pink flower in the center of the tulle is the finishing touch!
* Don't you just love that little wooden spoon on the back of the jar?  Too cute!

Like I said, fast and easy!  Now, how about a winner from my Valentine's Give-Away?  Before I tell you who won, I want to thank everyone for leaving such sweet comments both here and on my Facebook page.  You ladies are the best!  So, I took all the comments from this blog and all the comments from my Facebook page, wrote your names on slips of paper and had my hubby draw one from the bowl....and............the winner is........

Jovan was comment number 37 here on my blog!
Congrats to you Jovan!  Please use the "Contact Corner" tab at the top of my blog to send me your mailing address and I'll get your Valentine goodies in the mail to you!
I would like to thank you all again for playing along with my give-away!  It was fun and I plan on doing another one in the near future.  I hope the rest of your week is fabulous and I'll be seeing you soon.....
Until next time,

A Bushel of Hugs!

Hello everyone and happy Thursday to you!
I hope your week is going well for you.  Mine has been pretty good - I've been playing with my newest stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps and working on a few Valentine treats.  Let me show you what I came up with.....

Recipe:
*  The bushel is from the Silhouette Online Store (3D Bushel Fruit Basket)
* Layered heart is also from the SOS (Scallop Heart Valentine)
* Sweet little face is from Peachy Keen Stamps (PKSC-07 July 2012)
* Sentiment - Peachy Keen Stamps (PK-162 Fruit Sentiments ONE)

And, that candy in the fun pink striped foil is Hershey Hugs in.... RASPBERRY! Let me tell you, these things are some kinda yummy!  Oh my goodness, I had to take a picture of my project quickly because I was eating these things faster than I was putting my little bushel together!  Thankfully I had enough left over to get a decent photo!

Ok, that's it for me today!  As always, I appreciate your visit and your kind comments.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll be seeing you soon...

You're BERRY sweet!

Hi there!  I'm so happy that you stopped by because I've got some fun news to share with you!  Have you seen the cute new "Mini Release" from Peachy Keen Stamps?  If you haven't seen them yet, you can click HERE to get a peek.  They are so stinkin' cute and even better...they are on SALE!  Kathy has a great sale going on right now and has even included 99 Cent shipping (in the US)!  Now, I ask you....how awesome is that?

So, I have been waiting impatiently patiently for my stamps to arrive and they finally came today!  Yay...right?  Wrong...I came home to find them waiting on me...AFTER....my appointment with the eye doctor.  And, of course, he dilated my eyes until my pupils look like they may just explode!  But, it's all good....after seeing a little sneak peek of the stamps a few days ago, I got started on a couple of projects and only needed to add my sentiment.  Once the lights in my craft corner stopped looking like fireworks, I got busy and added my sentiment to this fun little card....

Recipe:
* The cute strawberry shaped card is from "The Cutting Cafe"
* I actually used some left over Christmas paper from K&Company for this card - the red and green prints work perfectly for strawberries!
* The fun little faces are from 2 Peachy Keen Sets - PK-460 (Happy Lashes)  and PK-450 (Wide Eyed Kids).
* And, my sweet sentiment is from the new release - PK-162 (Fruit Sentiments ONE)

Isn't this a fun stamp set?....

Be sure to stop by Peachy Keen Stamps to see the rest of this fun release and take advantage of the sale!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll be seeing you soon (with undilated eyes)...

Until next time,

I just love this happy little bird!

Recipe:

* I created a 5 X 6 inch card base from brown cardstock and used a Martha Stewart punch along the bottom edges to create a scalloped border.
* I machine stitched around the edges of my patterned mats
* The blue scalloped mat is from Spellbinders - "Eyelet Circles"
* That darling little bird is from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-267

Peachy Keen Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
I hope your week is off to a great start!  It's tough to get going again after the holidays, but I spent most of my day cleaning up this house!  Wow...I really let things go over the holidays. But, I was enjoying time with my family and that's much more important than dust bunnies - right?

After cleaning all day, I finally made it upstairs to my little corner and thought I would get my card posted and entered into this week's challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps.  This week's challenge is "Anything Goes"....

Recipe:
* I created a Center Step Card with my blue cardstock and covered it with this fun paper from "Simple Stories"
* The sweet cupcake is from the Cricut cartridge "Sweet Treats" - I embossed the "icing" with the "Divine Swirls" embossing folder, inked it up a bit and covered with Martha Stewart Coarse Glitter.  The cherry got a coat of Glossy Accents to add some shine.
* Those darling candles are from the Peachy Keen Stamps December Stamp Set (PKSC-12).  I stamped each candle twice, colored them with my Copics and used pop dots to adhere the layers. The "flame" on each candle is covered with Martha Stewart Coarse Glitter.

* The sentiment is also from the Peachy Keen Stamps December Stamp Set (PKSC-12)
* I added some white buttons, some pretty twine and a few gems to finish up this fun card.

If you haven't already joined our challenge this week, you still have time!  You can link up your project until January 9 at 11:59 pm (EST).  Remember that you must use a Peachy Keen Stamp somewhere on your project for this challenge.  I look forward to seeing your creations!

Sweet, huh?
I just love all the amazing little details that Kathy manages to squeeze into her collection! I adore the little kissy lips and S.W.A.K. sentiment - soooo cute!

Recipe:
* Gumball shape card is from "The Cutting Cafe"
* I decided to use hearts instead of gumballs to give this a more "Valentiney" look.  The hearts are all stamped with adorable images from the PKSC-13 January 2013 Stamp Set
* Notice the little door on the machine where the gumball (heart) comes out?  That sweet little heart is a stamp from this set.  I just stamped it and covered with Red Stickles for a touch of bling!
* I added lots of doodles with my white gel pen and a few black gems.
* A pretty crinkle ribbon bow finishes up the outside of my card.

Here's the inside of my card....

* This sentiment is also from the PKSC-13 set.
* Sentiment mat is from Spellbinders - Grommet Tag

And there you go - another sweet card to add to my Valentine Stash!  I hope you have time to make it to the party tonight, but if you miss it, be sure stop and check out the challenge and join us. You never know, you might just be the winner of that 50.00 Gift Certificate!
