St. Patrick's Day Treat

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner.
Wow...it's the middle of the week already!  Time flies when you are having fun, and I've been having so much fun getting ready for the March Release from Peachy Keen Stamps.  You are going to love all the Peachy Cuteness coming your way in just a couple of days!
In the meantime, I've got a cute little St. Pat's Day treat to share with you.  Back in early February, I found some fun little jars with wooden spoons at my Hobby Lobby.  I bought a couple of them and fixed one up for Valentines (you can see it here).  I also purchased a huge jar of jelly beans from Sam's Club and filled my Valentine jar with the red and pink jelly beans.  I went ahead and filled my extra jar with all the green jelly beans and set it aside to decorate for St. Patrick's Day.  Since St. Pat's Day is just around the corner, I decided it was time to get out the green glitter and get busy....

Recipe:
* Glass jar - Hobby Lobby
* Black mat - Spellbinders - "Eyelet Circles" Die
* Pot of Gold - Silhouette Online Store
*Gold and Green Stickles

I just love the little wooden spoon that came with this jar!

Isn't that cute?

Well, I guess that's it for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.  I'll be seeing you soon....

Until next time,

PKS Challenge 13-8

Hi there and happy Monday to you!
So, what are you up to today?  It's yet another rainy, yucky day here in my neck of the woods.  But, that's ok because rainy, yucky days are wonderful for staying inside and crafting away the day.  I've got so much going on in my craft corner right now (I'm so glad that you can't see the mess).  And, I'm having so much fun because I'm playing with the newest images from Peachy Keen Stamps!  That's right...it's almost time for the March 2013 Release and you are gonna be so happy to see these little cuties, oh my gosh!  Wish I could tell you more, but you're going to have just a few more days!

While you're waiting, how about joining in on the current challenge going on over at Peachy Keen Stamps?  This one is kinda different, but lots of fun :  3D Challenge add Metal.  Make a 3D creation of your choice and add something metallic.  You can use metallic ink, paper, brads, embellishments, etc. Read all the rules and guidelines here.

I have been wanting to use the fun Peachy Keen Background Stamp Geared Up Background and I thought this challenge would be the perfect time.....

I had a tough time photographing this little guy because of the metallic paper!

Recipe:
* I started with a small 4X4 inch canvas from Michael's and inked the edges up with Brilliance Platinum Planet Ink.
* I cut a piece of royal blue cardstock just slightly smaller than my canvas and stamped it with the "Geared Up Background" stamp from Peachy Keen.  I used the Brilliance Platinum Planet ink for this step also.  Then I glued the cardstock to my canvas.

*The robot is from "My Scrap Chick".  The file is called "Robot Valentine"
* I used some silver metallic paper for a few of the cuts
* His sweet face is from the Peachy Keen Stamp set Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment
* The fun, metal gears are from the jewelry making section at Michael's and I just added a few of them here and there.

And, this picture is just for fun....looks like he has a flashlight on top of his head...lol....

Thanks so much for stopping by today and a special thanks to those of you who left such sweet comments on yesterday's post. It was a special day and your comments really touched me!  So, now I'm off to play with those fabulous, new, awesome Peachy Keen Stamps...I know, I know...it's a tough job, but somebodys gotta do it!

Until next time,

WD-40 and Duct Tape.....

Hello everyone -thanks for stopping by today!
Have you even looked at a stamp for the first time and just immediately knew what you were going to create with it?  Well, when our Peachy Queen, Kathy, shared the Made on Planet Earth stamp set with the Design Team, I knew exactly what to do with one sentiment in particular....

So, how many of you have a Daddy or a hubby who can fix "all things" with either WD-40 and/or Duct Tape?  Let me tell you, those were 2 things my Daddy was never without -especially the Duct Tape!  We used to give him such grief over the fact that he thought anything could be fixed with a roll of Duct Tape.  Today happens to mark the 6 year anniversary of my sweet Daddy's passing and I wish with all my heart that he were still with us so that I could give him this card. He had the best sense of humor and I know he would get such a kick out of this card!  I can just see that goofy little grin of his and imagine that wonderful laugh of his!

So, before I get too mushy, let me tell you how I put this one together:

*The fun, printed papers are from the "Monsters and Robots" paper stack by Recollections
* I used the Spellbinders die "Small Deckled Rectangles" for the small mat
* The WD-40 can is actually an SVG file of a hairspray can that I re-vamped.  I googled WD-40 to find out what colors to use and went from there!
* My banners were cut from cardstock then covered with duct tape
*I stamped my sentiment on cardstock then layered it onto more cardstock covered with duct tape
*A few silver brads added to the metallic look of this card

And, here's a pic of my Daddy "back in the day".  Good lookin' fella, huh?

Today's post is no way meant to be sad.  My Daddy was truly one of a kind and the first man I ever loved. He taught me many wonderful life lessons in the way he lived his life and I will always be honored to be called his daughter.  I know that he is pain-free and sitting at the feet of his Lord, waiting for his family to join him again one day and that makes me smile.  So....thanks for joining me today for my kinda funny/happy/mushy post and I'll be seeing you soon....

Our love is MAGNETIC!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
I've got a fast, easy (but cute) card to share with you today....

Recipe:
* I created my card base with some simple Kraft paper, rounding off the bottom corners
* Next, I added some "stitching lines" with my white gel pen
* The fun sentiment is from the Peachy Keen Stamps Nuts and Bolts Sentiments set (PK-185)

Take a look at all the fun sentiments in this set....

I tried to find an SVG file of magnets with no success, so I just created my own version...

*I cut out the letter "U" in white, red and silver metallic paper then pieced together a couple of "magnets"....ta da!
*The little lightning bolts and hearts are from the Silhouette Online Store.  It's hard to tell in the photo, but I went over the lightning with my Atyou Spica Clear Glitter pen

Easy, peasy....but kinda cute!
Thanks again for stopping by today - hope you have a wonderful weekend ♥

Peachy Keen Challenge 13-7 Sketch

Hi there!  How's it going?  We're all good here and I've finally got things somewhat back in order after my trip to Orlando and found some time to play along with the sketch challenge going on over at Peachy Keen Stamps.  The challenge ends Wednesday night (Feb 20th) at 11:59 pm (EST), so if you haven't played along yet...you still have time!
I love the simple, sweet sketch for this week's challenge...

Recipe:
* Printed papers are from the "Farm Girl" collection by October Afternoon
*I used the Spellbinders die "Eyelet Squares" for my mat
*The cherries are from the Peachy Keen Stamps "Faceless Fruits" stamp set (PK-239)
*I colored the cherries using my Copic markers and mounted the completed mat onto a strip of burlap

I really love the clean, simple lines of this card.  I have a tough time doing "clean and simple", I just want to keep on adding and adding and adding!  Having a sketch like this one really helps me know when to stop!

Well, that's about it for me today. Before I go, I would just like to thank you for taking the time to stop by for a visit and for all the sweet comments you leave on my blog. It just makes me smile and warms my heart to read your kind words ♥

Watt Up!

Doesn't that title just make you smile?
Hello everyone and welcome to my little crafting corner! I hope you had a fabulous weekend and are all rested up for a new week.  I just got home last night from a wonderful 2 days of Copic Marker Classes with the awesome instructor Sherrie Siemens.  This year for my Valentines Day gift, my sweet hubby agreed to travel 6 hours, by car, with a puppy, to Orlando so that I could attend these classes!  Is he a keeper or what?  So, my head is still just bursting with information, tips and techniques and I hope once I recover from the trip I can put some of this info to good use!

Ok, on to today's post......

Recipe:
* I found these cute little light bulbs at Hobby Lobby and filled them with yellow jelly beans.
*My tags are from the Silhouette Online Store and the light bulb paper is from the "Monsters and Robots" paper stack by Recollections (perfect paper for this release by the way!)
* The fun light bulb stamps are from the Peachy Keen Stamp set PKSC-14 (February 2013).  I colored the bulbs with Copic markers and added a bit of silver stickles to the "metal" portion of the bulb.  I cut 2 bulbs for each tag and used pop dots to layer them for a bit of dimension.

* The fun sentiment is from February's Mid-Month Release.  The stamp set is called "Made on Planet Earth Sentiments"  (PK-186)  This is such a fun stamp set....

*For the finishing touches on my light bulbs, I added some silver Stickles to the top of my tag and tied them on with a bit of "Lemon Tart" twine from Trendy Twine.

I just love the way these turned out!  Finally a treat that I can give to the guys - not a hint of pink or flowers anywhere!  Ok, I'm finished up here, but before I go I need to remind you about the sale going on right now at Peachy Keen Stamps - Kathy has an awesome sale going on and you don't want to miss it! The sale ends 2-19-13 so be sure to head on over and take advantage of the savings!

I hope you have an awesome day and I'll be seeing you soon!

Your launch pad or mine?

Hello everyone, how's it going?
I hope you all survived Valentine's Day!  Another holiday down and March will soon be here. Where has this month gone?

So, have you heard the news about Peachy Keen Stamps and Freckled Fawn?  All of the designers at Peachy Keen Stamps have been given a few fabulous goodies from Freckled Fawn to play with this week!  How cool is that?  My official day of posting with Freckled Fawn products was yesterday, but I have another fun card to share with you today...

Recipe:
* My cute little space couple and fun sentiment are both from the Peachy Keen February Stamp Set PKSC-14
* I colored my couple with my Copic markers and used some Glossy Accents on their "space shields"
* The fun little arrows pointing at my sentiment are from Freckled Fawn. I used the Arrow Wood Chips and covered them with some red Stickles.
* Notice that cute little White Heart Paper Clip?  Uh huh...Freckled Fawn.
* I also used a Martha Stewart punch to create the black border with the sweet hearts.  I ran a strip of fun Freckled Fawn's Washi Tape in Picnic Table Plaid down the center of my punched border.

I'm thinking Peachy Keen Stamps and Freckled Fawn make an excellent combination!
This card was really fun to put together and the FF accents were just the perfect touch. Don't forget about the $50.00 Gift Certificate being given away by Peachy Keen Stamps.  You just need to comment on the cross-promo posts on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog for a chance to win!  Be sure to comment on all the posts for more chances to win - Day 1 starts HERE.  Ok, that's it for me - hope you have a wonderfully blessed day and I'll be seeing you soon....

I love you with all my ♥

Hello everyone and Happy Valentine's Day!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I have a sweet layout (I know, I know...a layout!) to share with you on this sweet day!  This layout is way over-due, because the darling baby in the photos is now a darling 8 year old.....

Pretty sweet, huh?
This week, our Design Team over at Peachy Keen Stamps was given some wonderful embellishments from the fabulous folks over at Freckled Fawn to play with!  And I gotta tell you, Peachy Keen and Freckled Fawn make an awesome combination!

Recipe:
* I started with some beautiful background paper and did a bit of stitching in dark brown thread.  I also inked and stitched the edges of all my mats.
* The beautiful baby in the photo is my own darling granddaughter, Emma!
* Ok, I have NEVER used Washi tape (gasp), but after trying this cute Washi from Freckled Fawn, I am hooked!  This one is called Picnic Table Plaid.  I love the way it adds a punch of pattern and color.
* I also used some cute little Arrow Wood Chips to point the way to my cutie pie grandbaby. I added a bit of coarse, crystal glitter to the arrows for a bit of sparkle.

*There is more than one angel on this page!  One of them is, of course, Emma and one happens to be from the Peachy Keen Stamp set PKSC-01 (January 2012).  I colored her with my Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress. She also got a bit of glitter and a pretty bow for her hair.

*On this page I used Spellbinders "Label 17" to create a little pocket and tag to do some journaling. I stamped the sentiment "I love you with all my ♥" on the pocket using the PKSC-01 stamp set.
* I added a punched border (Martha Stewart) to the bottom of my photo mat along with with some pretty crinkle ribbon.  I also added a few of those darling little White Heart Paper Clips from Freckled Fawn around both pages.
* More Washi tape and sweet little hearts finish up this page.

So, don't you agree that Peachy Keen Stamps and Freckled Fawn go together beautifully?  We certainly think so and we have a fun way to show it.... Peachy Keen Stamps is going to be giving away a $50.00 Gift Certificate to one lucky person who leaves a comment on this week's cross-promo posts!  All you have to do is leave a comment on the Peachy Keen Blog (cross-promo posts).  Leave a comment on each cross-promo post to increase your chances!  The posts start HERE and continue through Friday.  So, be sure to comment on all the posts!

Thanks again for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderfully sweet Valentine's Day!

Kissy Lips!

Hello, hello, hello!
Happy Wednesday to you!  I hope your week is going well.
It seems like I have been working on Valentine projects for such a long time and it's almost here!  I have another sweet, kissy little Valentine goodie to share with you today!  These are for a couple of sweet little girls in my life.  And, while I hope there will be no need for "kissy lips" for a very, very long time, I know these girls love their lip gloss!

Recipe:
* I found these little lip gloss cuties in the dollar bin at Michael's and grabbed them up!
* The plastic treat boxes are from "Jaded Blossom"
* I created my tags using the hearts, lips and sentiment from the Peachy Keen stamp set PKSC-13
* The lips are an SVG from the Silhouette Online Store. I covered them with 2 coats of Glossy Accents to make them super shiny.  My bottle of GA is almost empty and I got a few ugly bubbles - I hate when that happens....sigh...
* I tied on some cute twine from Trendy Twine in "Cherry Cupcake" and made a sweet bow.

In this photo, you can see one of the lip gloss containers open.  These are so stinkin' cute!  Michael's had them in cupcakes and flowers, so I got 3 of each which was perfect for the clear treat boxes....

Cupcakes....

Flowers....

Ok, that's it for me today.  I'll be back tomorrow with a sweet project that combines Peachy Keen Stamps and Freckled Fawn embellishments!  I hope you will be able to stop by.  Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon...

Until next time,

Safari Love for my Boys....

Hello everyone!
Thanks for stopping by today.  I've got a couple of cute Valentine's Day cards to share with you.  These cards for the two youngest Cupids in my life...my grandsons Blake and Brayden....

Recipe:
* I started with a Kraft paper base for each card and added some fun Valentine themed layers.
*The Safari animals are SVG files from Lisa at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  The file is called "Safari Love" and contains these  cuties, an elephant and a lion.
* The sentiments stamped on the balloons are from "My Creative Time"

The Giraffe card is for Brayden.

And, the Zebra card is for Blake.

And there you go - Valentines for my little guys!  Thanks again for popping in for a visit today. I always enjoy your visits and sweet comments. Enjoy your day and I'll be seeing you soon...

Programmed for love!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner.
I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for another week.  The last 2 days have been rainy and stormy around here.  We have had up to 8 inches of rain in some areas - my yard looks like a lake!  And, my poor Yorkie, Lola, is close to having a nervous breakdown!  The thunder just scares her silly, so we have spent a lot of time bundled up in a blanket just cuddling - it seems to soothe her and calm her down.  In the last hour or so the sun has started peeking out and Lola has finally settled down on her bed, so I thought I better get this posted while I have a chance!

I've been having so much fun with this month's Peachy Keen Stamps Release!  These little space guys and robots are just so stinkin' cute!  Take a look at this little guy......

Recipe:
*  I started with a gear that I found in the Silhouette Online Store.  I used the offset feature to create my cardbase from blue cardstock.
* I cut the gear from silver metallic paper and a couple of smaller gears from red metallic paper.
The adorable little robot and fun sentiment are from Peachy Keen Stamps (PKSC-14)

*I colored my robot with my Copics and hand cut a flag for the sentiment.
* I cut off the end of a toothpick, inked it up with red ink for my flag.
* A sweet red, heart shaped gem and some fun red and white twine finish up this fun little Valentine's Day card.

I guess I need to go work on getting my house cleaned up a bit (yuck) while Lola is calm and the thunder seems to have stopped.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll be seeing you soon...

Until next time,

You are my shining star!

Hello everyone...how are you?
I hope you've been having a wonderful weekend!  I've had a nice, peaceful weekend around here. A bit of shopping, a bit of crafting and a lot of eating out - perfect!

I have a quick project to share with you this afternoon - this is for the "Monochromatic" challenge going on over at The Peachy Keen Connection....

I made a sweet bookmark for my equally sweet granddaughter, Emma....

Recipe:
* I used the cardboard from the back of paper stack to create a base for my bookmark.
* I covered the bookmark (front and back) with a dark yellow cardstock, then a smaller, lighter shade of yellow that I embossed.
* Those sweet stars are from the Peachy Keen Stamp Club set PKSC-14.  I stamped the stars onto the SVG file that I cut from white cardstock.  Next, I stamped the stars again onto that sweet yellow gingham paper, adding those adorable little faces.
* After coloring the facial details, I covered the white portion with Glossy Accents and coarse glitter.

* The sentiment is also from the PKSC-14 stamp set.
* I added a few yellow gems for some sparkle and a bit of embroidery floss for a tassel.

And there you go...a sweet bookmark for a sweet girl!
Thanks so much for stopping by - I always look forward to your visits!  I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.  I'm off to clean up my messy craft corner and put away a few of the goodies I purchased this weekend!  See you soon....

Until next time,

2)  Polka Dots AND Stripes!  One of the 2 challenges going on this weekend over at  The Peachy Keen Connection.
3)  Monochromatic!  That's challenge number 2 going on at The Peachy Keen Connection.

The challenges at The Peachy Keen Connection will each have a drawing for a 25.00 Gift Certificate to the PK Store!  You must use a Peachy Keen Stamp on your project to qualify and your project must be linked up by midnight on Sunday (Feb 10).

So, that should be enough to keep you busy this weekend!
You can see my "Anything Goes" project by clicking here.  I can't wait to show you my project for the Polka Dots AND Stripes challenge.....

Recipe:
* To create my moon shaped card base, I started with a moon SVG file from the Silhouette Online Store.  Using the "Offset" feature, I created my cardbase from gray cardstock.
* The cute rocket ship and fun sentiment is from the Peachy Keen Stamp set Rocket Blast PK-167.  I paper pieced my rocket and added Glossy Accents to the window.

* The smoke from the rocket ship was covered with Glossy Accents, then I sprinkled on Martha Stewart's coarse glitter for some sparkle.
* The cute little stars are from a punch and I added a bit of glitter to them also.

Ok, now it's your turn!  Go get creative and join one (or all 3) of our challenges this weekend!  I look forward to seeing your creations!  Also, be sure to check out the "outta this world" sale Kathy has going on right now at the Peachy Keen Store!  Enjoy your weekend and I'll be seeing you soon!

ORANGE you glad you're my friend!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
I'm so glad you stopped by because it's that time again...time for another fun challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps!  This week's challenge is one of my favorite kind.... Anything Goes!  I can't wait to show you what I created for this fun challenge....

How fun is this?

Recipe:
* I used a cute "Caddy" SVG file from "My Scrap Chick" to create this cute little box.  I love that the file includes the mat layers on the front of the box.
* The orange and orange slices are files from the Silhouette Online Store.
* The happy little face on my orange is from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-460 Happy Lashes
* The fun sentiment is from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-164 Fruit Sentiments TWO

* I added some fun, lime green ribbon around the bottom of my box and also used a bit to tie up my bag of yummy orange slice candy!

I hope you will stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and see what the other designers have created to inspire you for this challenge.  You won't be disappointed - let me tell you - I've already seen what these ladies have created and it's pure awesomeness!

Before I go, I want to thank all of you for your visits to my blog and your lovely words of encouragement!  A special thanks to those of you who stopped by the Peachy Keen Blog on Wednesday and left a comment on my first "solo post" - it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces on my big day - ♥ to you all!

This is gonna sting a little!

Hi there!  Today is a special day for me and I'm so happy that you stopped by!  Today is my first "official solo post" on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog!  EEEK!  I'm going to share a bit of my post here, but I would LOVE for you to stop by the Peachy Keen Blog and check out my project if you have a chance.  It would mean so much to me to see my sweet bloggy friends come by for a visit!

I've been working on a few Valentine's Day projects (as I'm sure you all have) and I thought I would save this one for today's PK post....

I created a fun "Shadow Box Card" from a file available at the Silhouette Online Store.
After putting my box together, I got busy decorating the inside.  I used the most adorable little Cupid you've ever seen!  This little guy is from the Peachy Keen Stamp Set "Cupid's Sting" (PK-295).  How sweet is this set.............

I think you can see the depth of the shadow box in this photo...

I used lots of Martha Stewart coarse glitter on this one - I love the sparkle!
I also added some pretty velvet ribbon and a few felt hearts.

I really love the way Cupid seems to be floating in the clouds!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you will stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog for more details on my shadow box card!

Until next time,

APP-Y Birthday

Hello everyone and welcome!
I'm really happy that you stopped by today because I have a special post to share with you!  My sweet friend, Georgiana, invited me to be a "Guest Diva" over at Die Cuttin' Divas!  If you've never paid a visit to this fun Challenge Blog, you need to hop on over for a visit.  They have some great challenges and a very talented Design Team, guaranteed to get you motivated!

This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. And, the timing was perfect because tomorrow is my "baby boy's" birthday!  Of course, my "baby"is turning 30 - but...he's still my baby (sorry Matthew)!  So, here's my card for my baby boy Matthew....

Thank goodness for electronic devices!  Matthew lives a couple of hours away and a lot of our communication is through texting and emails.  When I saw this image, I knew it would be perfect for his birthday, especially with that fun sentiment!

Recipe:
* The iPad is an SVG from "Designs on Cloud 9".
I cut the bottom layer from silver metallic paper twice and used pop dots between the layers.
* The SVG has plain blue squares, but I added a few icons to my version.
* The sentiment is from "Pink By Design"

* I didn't have any computer-related paper, so I just typed several "computer phrases", printed out my paper and used my oval Spellbinders to make my background mat!

It's always great to work with the talented ladies at Die Cuttin' Divas and I'd like to thank Georgiana again for the opportunity.  And, thanks to each of you for stopping by and leaving your sweet comments!  Be sure to stop by Die Cuttin' Divas to see the sketch and get all the challenge information.  I hope to see your creation linked up this week!

Until next time,

You are outta this world!

Hello and thanks for stopping by today!
I'm really glad that you stopped by because I have the cutest little "sneak peek" to share with you!  It's New Release time again over at Peachy Keen Stamps and I gotta tell you, Kathy knocked this release over the moon!  You are going to love these fun stamps and I can't wait to share my first project with you.....

Told ya these new stamps were over the moon!

Recipe:
*  I created this fun test tube holder using an SVG from "The Cutting Cafe"  The file is called "Test Tube Candy Holder Set" and went together like a dream.
* That adorable little space ship is from one of the cute add on sets in this release - "Happy Trails Spaceship"  PK-166
I colored it with my Copics and added some Glossy Accents to the window.
* The sliver stars were purchased at Hobby Lobby a couple of months ago in the Christmas section and they were perfect for this project!

* I love the moon stamp from this set! The moon and fun sentiment are both from this month's Peachy Keen Stamp Club  PKSC-14
* I colored the moon and added some Glossy Accents for a bit of shine.
* The test tubes were ordered from Jaded Blossom and are filled with some white chocolate covered pretzels.  I bought these at Christmas with the intention to use them as "snowballs".  That project never happened, so I thought they would make excellent "moon rocks"!
And, how about this fun little spaceship...isn't it the cutest?
Ok, that's enough of my "sneak"....you need to head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and see the "outta this world" projects the other designers have in store for you!  You're gonna love it!

Until next time,
