Love Bug

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
How are you doing on those Valentine's Day projects?  I have a few more treat to put together but I'm happy to say that I'm making headway.  I've got a couple of cuties to share with you today....

I used the super cute stamp set "Bug A Boo" from Jaded Blossom to create these cute little tags for my candy sticks.

My tags are created with the Jaded Blossom Treat Tag Die. I love the pretty layers this die creates.  I added a line of hearts along the bottom using the Valentine Dies set.

Those adorable little bugs were colored with my Copic Markers.  I also used an Atyou Spica Glitter Pen in Silver to trace over all the lines for a tiny bit of sparkle.  I used an old paper punch to make the tiny little heart on his chest and covered it with red glitter.

Two more sweet Valentine Treats to mark off the list!
Thanks so much for stopping by today - stay warm and I'll be seeing you soon...

Until next time,

Card Organizer

Hello everyone and happy Saturday to you!
It is my day to post over at My Craft Spot and I thought I would share my project with you here as well.   I am in the middle of re-painting/re-organizing my Craft Corner - and...I have a HUGE mess on my hands!  Anyway, as I was thinking about what to make for my DT post at My Craft Spot I decided to make something that would be useful AND look pretty in my newly painted room.

I'm pretty bad at making a new card and tossing it into a box with all my other completed cards without really organizing them.  I know - spend all that time making "the perfect" card then just toss it into a box - shameful!  So, with that nasty trait in mind, I decided to create some card organizers to keep my cards nice and neat.  Here's my first one.....

Pretty cute...huh?

I found this sweet card box file from Lori Whitlock in the Silhouette Online Store.  After cutting it out and assembling it, I pulled out some fun goodies from My Craft Spot and got busy!

* This fun banner was created using the Tiny Banners & Toppers Die Set. I added some clear gems to the topper portion to add a bit of sparkle.  I didn't have any black twine on hand so I cut a piece of Totally White twine and ran a black Copic Marker over it - perfect!

* The sentiment mat is a cut file from the Silhouette Online Store.  I used a sentiment from the Big Sentiments Stamp Set to designate this sweet box as storage for my Birthday Cards.  I love the pretty font on this stamp set ♥

* A few enamel dots on my sentiment mat finished this project up nicely!

Now I just need to get busy and make a box for Baby cards, Get Well Soon cards, Thinking of You cards...etc, etc, etc!

Well, I'm off to see if I can get some trim work painted in my Craft Corner - wish me luck!  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you soon!

Until next time,

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner.
I hope your week is going well for you.  Mine hasn't gone exactly as planned (does it ever?) but that's okay.  My painting is still a "work in progress", but I promised myself before I started this project that I would not get myself in a tizzy (southern phrase) about it. It will get done when it gets done!

So, in the midst of all the painting mess and chaos I did manage to come up with a cute little Valentine's Day gift for someone special.  I came across this fun little boxed set of Valentine's candles at Michael's a few day ago.  The candles are cute as can be, but the box was plain Jane.  Simple clear box with a sad, skinny little bow on top (I should have taken a before photo).  Knowing that the plain packaging just would not do, I pulled out some of my My Craft Spot goodies and took care of the situation....

These little candles are just so sweet!

So, here's how I dressed up the gift box:
* I used the Ribbon Banners Straight Die Set for the banner along the bottom part of my box.  The sentiment is from the Banner Sentiments Stamp Set.  I added a couple of Enamel dots on each side of my banner.

* Next, I wrapped some pretty sheer ribbon in teal around the box.  Kimberly's Bow - Small Die Set was perfect to create this sweet bow for the top of my box.
* I added a couple of hearts cut with the Heart Border Die Set on each side of the bow and a sprinkle of sequins in Tinkled Pink.

Like I said, I really wish I had taken a before photo - but you will just have to take my word that this version is much better!

Well I guess I better get back to work in my messy, messy room!  But, before I let you go, I wanted to remind you that you still have time to play along with the Sketch Challenge going on over at My Craft Spot.  It's a great sketch and Kimberly has the ultra-cute stamp set Stamping All Around Spring 2 for this week's winner!  I hope to see your project linked up with us soon!

As always, thanks so much for stopping in for a visit. I'll be back Saturday with another sweet My Craft Spot project to share with you!

Until next time,

My Craft Spot - Challenge #123

Good morning everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner.
I hope you had a great weekend and are ready to face another Monday - don't they roll around quickly?  How about a fun challenge to get this Monday going for you?  This week's Challenge at My Craft Spot is one of my favorite kind - a sketch challenge.  When I feel like my mojo has left the building a sketch very often gets me creating again.
Here's my card following our sketch....
My Craft Spot Products Used:
* Hearts - Heart Border Dies
* Sentiment - Banner Sentiments

After lightly adhering the hearts, I machine stitched across each roll.

Here is the inside of my card...

I used a few more hearts from the Heart Border Dies Set and some pretty Crinkle Ribbon in

And here is this week's sketch....
 And, one more view of my card....

That's about it for me today.  I hope you will stop by to visit Kimberly and our fabulous Design Team over at My Craft Spot- they have some fabulousness to share with you today!  I hope to see your take on our sketch linked up with us very soon!

Have a happy Monday and I'll be seeing you soon!

Until next time,

Hugs & Kisses

Hello everyone and happy Saturday to you!
Do you  have big plans for the weekend?  I'm happy to say that I have finally cleared out one entire wall of my Craft Corner so that I can begin painting today.  You never heard me say this...but....I think....maybe...just maybe....I have too much stuff....gasp!  Okay...so maybe it's not really toooo much...we'll just call it....unorganized stuff. Yeah, that's it...unorganized!  So, anyway, hopefully after getting my room all painted I will be able to "better organize" my stuff...that's the plan!

So, before I pull out the paint roller, I have another sweet Valentine's Day card to share with you. I just love the muted colors in this sweet paper pack - "Valentine" by Recollections.  The colors and patterns are so soft and pretty....

The tic-tac-toe design is a cutting file I picked up from the Silhouette Online Store.  The postage stamp card base is from SVG Cutting Files.

My Craft Spot Products:
*  Sentiment Mat - Ribbon Banners Straight
* "Hugs & Kisses" - Banner Sentiments stamp set
* XO - Jar Full of Spring stamp set

Inside of card.....

* Sentiment - Banner Sentiments stamp set
* Arrow border - Fancy Edges die set

I did a bit of machine stitching around the edges of my card.  And, that center heart was just calling out for a touch of sparkle so I added some dark red glitter to finish things up.

Well I guess I need to wrap things up on this computer and get back to painting my room.  Have a great weekend and I'll be seeing you on Monday with a new Challenge from My Craft Spot!

Until next time,

Be My Valentine

Good morning and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
I hope your day is off to a great start.  I'm trying desperately to clear out my Craft Corner so that I can paint my room....yuck....what was I thinking?  It started out as "I'm just going to better organize my stamps" into "lets just do the whole stinkin' room"!  I now have stuff scattered in 3 rooms as I try to make room to begin painting while still leaving myself room to work.  Again...what was I thinking??  This is one of those projects that I see taking months to complete.  Wish me luck...please!

Anyway, after clearing a whole shelving unit, I rewarded myself with a bit of stamping time (works for me and has less calories than chocolate time).   I have been wanting to play with my new toys from the latest Jaded Blossom Release and here's what I came up with.....

I started with the new "Vertical Nugget Card" from SVG Cutting Files.
Then I got busy with lots of fun products from Jaded Blossom!  I used the following stamp sets and metal dies from JB:
* Valentine Treat Tag Stamp
* Treat Tag Die
* Valentine Wraps Stamp Set
* Candy Wrap Dies
* Valentine Dies

Aren't those candy wrappers wonderful ♥

I dressed up the inside of my card with cuts from the Valentine Dies

I didn't have ribbon in the color that I needed, so, I colored some white seam binding with a Copic Marker...ta...dah....the perfect shade of blue!  I also used a Copic to color a bit of white twine to create the gray I needed for my card.

I'm planning on entering this sweet Valentine card into the current challenge "Valentine's Day Theme" going on over at Jaded Blossom.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I always appreciate your visits and sweet comments!  If you don't hear from me for a couple of days - send HELP - I may be lost in my own Craft Corner as I try to get this mess into some sort of order...lol!   Have a great day and I'll (hopefully) be seeing you soon....

Until next time,

(click on photo to enlarge)
I cut out the pieces of my camera box using some retro colors and silver metallic paper.
Next, I used the Tiny Doilies Dies and the new Stamping All Around Spring 2 stamp set for the fun sentiment and smiley face in the center of my "camera lens". I love how cute this turned out!
As you can see in the next photo, the top opens so that photos can be stored inside...
Isn't that fun?
I also have a sweet baby card to share with you today....
Such sweetness!

I found this little guy in the Silhouette Online Store and I used a sketch from MoJo Monday. I inked up the edges of my mats with some Vintage Sepia ink and did a bit of machine stitching around the edges.

I LOVE the fun little bow which I created with the new Bow-Small Die!  This die is a must-have -it can be used in so, so many ways.  The sweet sentiment on this card is from the new stamp set Banner Sentiments - a great set for so many of your sentiment needs.

I always like to pretty-up the inside of my cards and I used one of the new dies from the Fancy Edges set for the inside of my card....

Aren't those scallops beautiful?

MCS Release Party - Day 4

Hello again!
It's Day 4 of the Release Party going on over at My Craft Spot and I've got another fun Valentine's Day project to share with you....

My Craft Spot products:
* The new stamp set - Stamping All Around Spring 2
* The new dies - Heart Border Dies, Fancy Edges Dies and Bow-Small Die
* And, the Tiny Doilies Die Set
I just love the way these fun little treats turned out!

I started with these cute little treat bags from Jaded Blossom.
I used the Tiny Doilies Die Set to cut my red, scalloped background mat and the white sentiment circle.  Next, I used the fun Stamping All Around Spring 2 .  There are 2 stamps and 2 hearts in this set that are just perfect for Valentine treats!  There are also some fun Easter stamps, St. Pat's Day and cute little spring stamps - you will LOVE this one!

Those cute little bows are made from the new Bow-Small Die - super easy to put together!  I assembled my bows and added a glittery gem to the center of each bow.

For my candies, I cut strips of printed paper to 1 7/8 inches wide by 3 inches long.  I used the new Fancy Edges Dies to create a scalloped border on each side of my strip. I wrapped the paper strip around each piece of candy and taped them on the backside.

For the finishing touch I used the Heart Border Dies to cut out these little red hearts for the top of each candy wrapper. They are the perfect size for these yummy little candies!

And, that's my Day 4 project for this month's new release - I hope you liked it!  Don't forget to stop by My Craft Spot to see what Kimberly and the other Designers have lined up for you today.  Kimberly also has another wonderful give-away (she is so generous), and you don't want to miss out....

MCS Release Party - Day 2

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner.
It's time for Day 2 of the January My Craft Spot Release Party and I am so excited to be working with Kimberly and her fabulous Design Team!  Here's my project for today's party....

I found this cute little Valentine Spinner in the Silhouette Online Store and changed it up a bit to make it into a card.  I love the way it turned out!

I chose not to use the little phrases that were part of the original pattern and used the new My Craft Spot  "Jar Full Of Spring" stamp set instead.  After stamping these fun sentiments, I used a 3/4 inch circle punch and then inked them up.

I used lots of coarse, crystal glitter for my arrow and a pretty brad to hold it in place.  I also used a white gel pen to add some stitching lines.

This sweet little heart on the inside of my card is also from the "Jar Full of Spring" stamp set.

And there you go - a sweet, fun Valentine's Day card for Day 2!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to stop by Kimberly's blog at My Craft Spot to see what the other ladies have in store for you today.  I happen to know that there are some amazing projects waiting for you!  While you are there be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win this beautiful stamp set....
