My Craft Spot - Challenge #137

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's Monday and time for another challenge over at My Craft Spot.  This week's challenge is:
Technique - Inking.

This challenge made me think outside my normal comfort zone and try something a bit different. I have collected a nice assortment of inking sprays and I've actually used them a couple of times on pages in my art journal. But, I've never tried them out on a card - so this challenge seemed like the perfect time to give it a go....
My technique:
* I started with a piece of Express It paper and gave it a mist with water.
* Next, I spritzed on Dylusions Inks in the following colors: Bubblegum, Cut Grass and Vibrant Turquoise.
* I spritzed on more water and dabbed it up with a paper towel, blending the colors as I dabbed.

*After allowing the inks to dry, I used a polka dot stencil and white ink (Hero Arts) to create the circles on my card.
* Once the circles were dry, I stamped on my sentiment from the Chalkboard Sentiments stamp set by My Craft Spot.

A few sequins in Caribbean Blues and a bit of Black Jute String were my finishing touches.

This was a fun card to make - messy, but fun.  I think I'll be trying this method again sometime soon. I'm anxious to try other color combinations and see what I end up with!

I hope you will stop by the My Craft Spot Blog to see what the other Designers have to share with you today.  I also hope you get a chance to play along with our challenge. I would love to see your inking technique linked up with us this week.

Before I let you go, I would like to remind you that you still have a chance to get your name in the drawing for the set of stamps I am giving away. If you missed the post, you can see it HERE.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll be seeing you soon....
