Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today -it's my turn to post on the My Craft Spot Blog today and I thought I would share my project with you here as well.
Summer has pretty much arrived in my neck of the woods and we have been getting our pool ready for some summertime fun. I usually pick up a couple of new beach towels to use around the pool at the start of each season and I thought I would "pretty one up" for my granddaughter Emma. She is pretty much our resident mermaid and loves to swim away the day. So, here's Emma's new towel....
I started with this bright, colorful beach towel, rolled it up and tied it up with some pink and orange tulle. I tied a big, pretty bow on one side of the towel.
Next, I cut out some ovals using my Spellbinders for the base of my project. My cute little bathing beauty is a cutting file from SVG Cutting Files. This file is called Fun in the Sun.
I added a couple of gems to her flip flops, a ring to her finger and a pretty flower to her hair - a girl's gotta look her best even at the pool! Glossy Accents give her shades a nice shine.
I found the perfect sentiment for my project on the Tiny Tags 3 stamp set available at the My Craft Spot Store. This is a great set with so many versatile sentiments....
Well, I think that about wraps it up for me today. Thanks again for stopping by, I always enjoy your visits and sweet comments! Have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon.
