Fun In The Sun!

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380!
It's Thursday and my turn to post on the SVG Cutting Files Blog and I just had to share this cutie with you on my blog as well.  This is one of those projects that just makes me smile....

Doesn't he look like he is having a blast?

For this project, I started with the SVG Cutting File, Wider Candy Box.  I cut the box from this bright, vivid blue and added "stitching lines" with a white gel pen.

That adorable little sunshine is from the Kawaii Sunshine cutting file and my little guy is from the brand new Waverunner Boy file available at SVG Cutting Files today.

My sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set Happy Summer.  I stamped my fun sentiment onto a tag created with the JB Mini Tag Dies Set and attached a piece of baker's twine so that it looks like the banner is being pulled by the wave runner.

Oh...I almost forgot the goodies inside of the box....

I put some of these fun rainbow colored Twizzlers in a couple of bags and sealed them up with some bright washi tape.  I had to trim the Twizzlers to fit inside the box, but I don't think my two little grandsons are going to mind at all!

Okay, that about wraps it up for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon.....

Thinking of you

Hello everyone - thanks for stopping by today!
I have a quick and easy (and pretty cute) card to share with you today....

Next, I added the hot air balloon from the hot4balloons stamp set.

I added a few sparkly stars that I created with the star die included in the Balloons & Cupcakes Framelits Die Set.  After cutting out the stars, I covered them in bright yellow glitter.

The pretty papers on this card are from the "My Girl" paper stack by My Mind's Eye.

If you haven't tired the Flip-its Card Dies from The Stamps of Life, I have to tell you - they are wonderful! Especially when you need a card...now!  Stephanie has several pretty choices available and the sets come with several dies for lots of options.

Okay, that's it for me for now.
Thanks again for stopping by - have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon...

Video Gamer Blog Hop

Hi there and welcome to our amazing Video Gamer Blog Hop!
Do you like to game?  Well if so, you are in for a REAL Treat!!

If you arrived at this "level" that means you must have successfully completed the last one, otherwise, you will need to RESET and start at the beginning with Michelle

As any video gamer knows, you can only complete the game by beating all levels to eventually get to the Boss level.  Our blog hop today is set up on that 'idea', with each stop being a level to complete.

LEVEL COMPLETION GUIDES
To COMPLETE this level, here is all you need to do!
1- FOLLOW this blog you are currently reading (see side bar for ways this blog allows you to follow)
2- COMMENT on this blog post, letting the owner know how much you enjoyed the project they shared with you today!
3- Go to the NEXT  LEVEL once you have completed these steps!

And now for my PROJECT!

Ok, I have to admit - I am definitely "old-school" when it comes to video games!  My "boys" are now 31 and almost 33 years old, so it's been a while since we've had video games and equipment in the house.  But, I do have vivid memories of my boys sitting in front of the tv for hours at a time with another popular set of brothers.... The Mario Brothers...

I started with the Simple Treat Box Cutting File.
One side of the box is decorated with  Luigi and the other side with Mario.
Didn't Ann do a fabulous job with these guys?

I also added a couple of the famous Gold Coins to the top of my treat box.  I cut them from gold metallic paper and I love the shine they add to my project.
My sentiments are from the Another Year Older Stamp Set by Jaded Blossom.  The sentiments are stamped onto a mat created with the Jaded Blossom Card Mat Dies.

Okay, that's it for me, I hope you enjoyed my fun Mario Brothers Treat Box!
Now, it's time for you to move onto the next level of the hop.....

Complete Line Up for you in case a RESET /Save Point is needed
Mel (mini boss level #1)
Trixie (mini boss level #2)
Annie (mini boss level #3)
Candace (Boss Level - End Game)

Enjoy the rest of the Hop!

Hope you're soaring soon!

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday to you.
I have several errands to run today, so you're in luck...I'll keep this one short and sweet ;)

I used this month's new release from The Stamps of Life, hot4balloons to create this sweet card...

The papers are from a Simple Stories stack and I followed a card sketch from Mojo Monday.

A few pop-dots under the balloon adds a bit of dimension to my card.

And, there you go - short and sweet just like I promised!
And now I'm off to conquer that list of errands.  Have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon!

New SVG Cutting Files Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's the 15th and time for another fun challenge over at SVG Cutting Files.  This month's challenge is to create a project using only 3 colors (base colors along with black and white do not count as one of your 3 colors).

So...ready to see what I made for the challenge?....

How's that for cute?

So, I started with the SVG Cutting File, Candy Tube Holder Pack.  I added a back piece to the holder so that I could add my sentiment above the tubes.

This cute as a button piggy was created with the SVG Cutting File, Piggy Bank.

I filled the 1 X 6 inch Clear Tubes by Jaded Blossom with nickels, dimes and quarters (coming to almost 25 bucks!).  Then decorated the tops with the cute little pig from the Farm Candies stamp set and the Candy Charms & Banners  Die Set.

The fun sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set, Udderly Adorable and is stamped onto a black mat created with the Card Mats Die Set.

And, I think that about covers it!  If you have any questions about this project, please feel free to ask me in your comment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you will stop by the SVG Cutting Files Blog to see what the other Designers have created to inspire you for this month's challenge.  I also hope to see your project linked up with us this month!

You are the sharpest crayon in the box!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's my turn to post over at the SVG Cutting Files Blog and I wanted to share my project with you here as well.  My grandson, Blake recently completed his last year in preschool. I can't believe that he will be starting Kindergarten in the fall - he is growing up too quickly!

I put together this fun card and treat box for Blake to help celebrate this milestone in his life....
For this project, I used the following SVG Cutting Files:

I used stickers to add Blake's name to the crayon box.  After years of teaching preschool and Kindergarten, I know how important it is to label everything!

I used the words4crayons stamp set by The Stamps of Life for both the fun sentiment and the color names on my crayons.

I filled a candy tube with red Skittles for this fun tube holder box.
The "congrats" sentiment is from the kites2fly stamp set (also from The Stamps of Life).

And, there you go - a sweet "little something" for my sweet boy!
Congratulations Blake, Nonna and Papa are very proud of you ♥

Thanks so much for stopping by today - I'll be seeing you soon...

Up, Up & Away...

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope your week is off to a great start.  It's very quiet around my house today with all the grands back at their homes.  I miss those sweet little people, but it's been nice to get back into my routine. I'm a routine kinda gal and I can detour from that routine only so long before I start going a little crazy...okay...a lot crazy!

So...laundry is going, music is playing, candles are burning and I've slipped away from getting my house back in order to play in my Studio for a bit.  I've got a sweet card to share with you today that I made with the new hot4balloons stamp set by The Stamps of Life...

I used a small circle die to create the circles on my white cardstock.
This layer was adhered with pop dots to the base layer of my card.

I stamped the small balloons, colored them with my Copic Markers, cut them out and adhered them inside the die cut circles.

And, here is the inside of my card...

Okay, I'm thinking break time is over and it's back to cleaning up this house....sigh....

Have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon!

VBS Week 2014

Hello everyone and welcome!
It's been a really long day here - we just delivered the last grandchild back to his Mommy and Daddy and have spent about 7 hours on the road.  After a week with anywhere between 1 to 4 grands in the house, it is very quiet here tonight.  We had a great week celebrating Hannah's first birthday and enjoying time at VBS with Emma and Blake.  I look forward to next year when Brayden will be old enough to join in the VBS fun.  As promised, I have a few photos to share with you (please bear with a proud Nonna).....

This is our sweet Hannah as she is about to give that cupcake some trouble!

I love that face ♥

Trying to get all 4 of the kids looking in the same direction at the same time is a bit like trying to herd cats!  Emma kept going underwater and Brayden was trying to escape, but that's a pretty good shot of Papa, Hannah and Blake.

Blake and Emma enjoyed the games, music and crafts.

And of course, the set we've been working on for months...

(this was the last night of VBS, can you tell how tired I am in this photo?)

And, now it's time for this tired Nonna to crash!
I leave you with this bit of sweetness.....

Floating by to say....

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
I'm sneaking into bloggy land for a few minutes while my grands are asleep just across the hall.  We just finished night #4 of our VBS program and we are all pretty tired at this point (okay, I'm really the only who is tired-I can't keep up with these guys!).

I'm sharing a card I made a couple of weeks ago with the new June Release by The Stamps of Life.  This month's new stamp of the month set is called hot4balloons....

I used the fabulous Circle Flip- its #2 die set for my card base - I love the scalloped edges!

How perfect is this pretty background paper?  It's from the "Sky's the Limit" paper stack by My Mind's Eye.  My super sweet friend, Theresa sent me this stack and I love the colors and pretty patterns - thank you my sweet friend!

Okay, I'm about to tip-toe to bed because I know these little guys are going to be up and at 'em bright and early in the morning!  I'll be back with VBS pics soon and back to my visits to your blogs - I've missed seeing what you talented ladies are up to these days!  Have a good one and I'll be seeing you soon....

You send my heart SOARING!

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's time for the June Release at The Stamps of Life and Stephanie has put together some amazing  new stamps and dies!  The Design Team will be sharing projects made with the new release throughout the month of June.  To start things off, I have a sweet card created with this month's new Stamp of the Month set, hot4balloons

Sweet, huh?

I used the kites2fly stamp set to create those fun, fluffy clouds.

I added a bit of machine stitching around the edge of my card.

Be sure to stop by The Stamps of Life Gallery to see all the amazing projects created by the Design Team using this fun new stamp set!  I'll have another sweet balloon card to share with you in the next day or so.....
