You Are Pawsome

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380 - thanks for stopping by!

How has your day been?  Mine went fairly smoothly - for a Monday...lol!  Got a few things checked off of my to-do list and spent a couple of hours in my Studio playing with a few new toys.  My fingers have been itching to ink up something using the new Grid Stencil by Simon Says Stamp and I have to say,  I love the way it turned out....

I used the following inks for my background:
* Mowed Lawn Distress Ink
* Peacock Feathers Distress Ink
*Salty Ocean Distress Ink
*Picked Raspberry Distress Ink (Hearts)

The cute little pup and sentiment are from the You Are Pawsome stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.
I used the coordinating Pawsome Die Set to cut out the word and covered it with some clear Wink of Stella Glitter.

The sentiment tag is cut with the Bundle of Stitched Shapes Die Set by Simon Says Stamp
My mats were cut with the Stitched Rectangles Die Set by Lawn Fawn.

That's about it for me today. I have a few more things to check off that list before calling it a day so I better get to it! Thanks again for stopping by and I'll be seeing you soon...

Guest Designer at Simon Says Stamp

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.

I'm happy that you stopped by today because I can finally share a little secret with you.  About a month ago (yep, that's a very long time for me to keep a secret) I was asked to be a Guest Designer on the blog of my favorite online store....Simon Says Stamp!

And, today I get to share a little sneak peek of the projects I created for my Guest spot! Their latest release was so cute that I couldn't stop with just one, so here's a little peek of my first project...

Isn't she a cutie?

Here's another cutie for you....

You can see all the details and more photos over at the Simon Says Stamp Blog along with a list of all the products I used on my projects.  I hope you will stop by and take a look.  Before I go, I would like to thank both Heidi and Stephanie of Simon Says Stamp for inviting to be a guest and for making the whole process so simple and smooth - you ladies are awesome!

Thanks so much for stopping by - have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon....

He is Risen!

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.

I hope your week is going well for you.  It's been a bit busy around my house lately but I did get in a bit of inky time this afternoon.  I pulled out several Distress Ink Pads and my newest stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and created a pretty Easter card....

I used the following Distress Inks for my background:
* Peacock Feathers
* Salty Ocean
* Shabby Shutters
Mowed Lawn

This beautiful sentiment is from the Rejoice Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp.  After stamping in Versamark Ink, I heat embossed the sentiment with Ranger's Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder.

Using the Simon Says Stamp Faith Die Set, I cut out the crosses from watercolor paper.  I used the following Distress Inks to watercolor the crosses:
* Brushed Corduroy
* Walnut Stain

I used a Copic Marker to die a bit of seam binding for my purple cloth.

The inside of my card was created with more watercoloring.  I used the Faith Die Set to cut the word "Easter" from gold, metallic paper and the sentiment is from the Rejoice Stamp Set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'm off to link up my card over at the "Anything Goes" Challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.  Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon.....

Somebunny loves you....

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you are having a great Monday.  Mine started off with a bit of Monday morning house cleaning...blah.  After a bit of scrubbing and moving dust around, I slipped upstairs to my Studio and managed to put together a sweet little card for the current Wednesday Sketch Challenge #220 going on over at the MFT Challenge and Inspiration Blog......

I used the following stamps and dies from My Favorite Things:
* Blueprints 21
* Blueprints 23
* Somebunny

I colored these sweet images with my Copic Markers and gave the little cloud a bit of shimmer with a Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Marker.

I added a couple of pearls to her dress and a few enamel dots here and there to finish up my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today - I always appreciate your visits and sweet comments!  Have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon....

For today's hop, I created a little gift set of sweet cards for a special friend....

These fun little cards were created with the following goodies from Lawn Fawn:
*Best Pun Ever  stamp and die set

Here's a closer look at each card in the set:

Each image got a bit of sparkle from a Clear Wink Of Stella Marker.

And, of course, I had to pretty up the inside of my cards with this sweet sentiment from the exclusive Feathered Friends stamp set....

After finishing all the cards I decided to package them up....

My cards and envelopes went into a clear cellophane bag and I used the Tag, You're It die set to create my tag.  I tied everything up with a bit of white baker's twine and my gift set is all done!

The Sky's the Limit!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380 - thanks for stopping by!
  I'm playing along with the Distress Addicts Challenge going on over at the Lawnscaping Challenges Blog and I've got a fun card to share with you.  This challenge is all about using Distress Inks, distressed edges, whatever you think of as "distressed"....

So, I pulled out the sweet Lawn Fawn "Blue Skies" stamp set and my brand spanking new "Abandoned Coral" Distress Ink, along with a few other Distress Inks and got busy...

Using some Ranger Watercolor paper I inked up my background using Broken China, Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers Distressed Inks.  I splattered a few drops of water here and there to give a watercolor look to the inks.

I distressed the edges of my mat and added a bit of machine stitching.
The hot air balloon was watercolored using the following Distress Inks:
Abandoned Coral
Mowed Lawn
Dusty Concord
Mustard Seed
Picked Raspberry

The tiny little hearts are from the Bugs and Kisses die set and they were watercolored with the Abandoned Coral Distress Ink.

That about wraps it up for me today. I hope you can stop by tomorrow for the
Crafty Friendship Blog Hop that I will be participating in along with some wonderfully talented crafty friends I've made. There will be some gorgeous projects and lots of fabulous give-aways, so be sure to stop back in tomorrow!

My Lucky Charm

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

Happy Monday to you!
I cannot believe that we are already into the middle of March.  This month is just zooming by and I almost let St. Patrick's Day slip right past me without noticing!  Luckily, I was looking through my box (okay...boxes) of Lawn Fawn stamps and came across the cute stamp set My Lucky Charm which spurred me into St. Patty's mode.....

I decided to go with another fun Shaker Card (I just can't seem to get enough of these).  All the images and sentiments are from the My Lucky Charm set and I colored them up with my Copic Markers.  I also gave my background a spritz of shimmer with some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine.

And of course, I had to color up the inside of my card as well.

After finishing my card, I decided to make a little goodie bag to go along with the card.
Which lead to a few more goodie bags....

Nothing like getting carried away with a project on the day before the actual holiday!

Okay, finished with hours to spare!

So, if I don't see you tomorrow...Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!
Don't forget to wear something green....

Easter Treats!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. This is going to be a short and sweet post because I've got to run pick up some cute little grandchildren of mine in just a few minutes.  I've also got to get these treats put away so they are "discovered" before Easter!

So, here we go....

I used one of my favorite dies for these treat toppers, the Fancy Topper Die by Jaded Blossom. This die makes putting together special treats so fast and easy!

All these cute little bunnies and Easter eggs are from the adorable Sprinkles - Happy Easter stamp set and coordinating dies from Your Next Stamp.

I colored all the images with my Copic Markers and gave the eggs and bunny tails a bit of sparkle with a Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Marker.

Okay, I'm off to hide these little goodies and then pick up some cutie pies!
Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon.....

Thinking of you

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

I hope your week is off to a great start.  My Monday has been pretty busy so far, but I finally found a few minutes to photograph yesterday's card and write this post.  It's going to have to a short and sweet post because I've got to get dinner started soon!

I've really been wanting to try water coloring using my Distress Ink Pads and I thought this beautiful  floral stamp by Simon Says Stamp would be the perfect place to start....

I really need more practice with this technique, but I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out.  I love this gorgeous stamp by Simon Says Stamp.  It is called Artful Flowers and there are coordinating dies available {makes me so happy}.

Using the Stitched Squares Dies from Lawn Fawn, I cut a mat from gold foil paper and a smaller one from Ranger watercolor paper.  I used my cheapo watercolor set to give the aqua tint to my background. Once it was dry, I spritzed on a bit of shimmer with Gold Color Shine by Heidi Swapp.

My sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink then heat embossed with Gold Tinsel embossing powder by Ranger. The aqua and gold ribbon was purchased at Hobby Lobby.

After stamping the flowers, I used Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and a small paintbrush to watercolor my flowers. I love this color, it reminds me of the beautiful azaleas that will be blooming here in southeast Alabama in the next couple of weeks. I colored the center of each flower with a Atyou Spica glitter pen in Gold.

Before adding my flowers to my card, I looped a bit of gold DMC Metallic Thread and lightly glued it into place. I pop dotted my flowers on top of the tread to finish off the front of my card.

And, of course, I had to finish off the inside before I could call it done!

Okay, it's time for me to go start dinner {although I would much rather get inky}.  Have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon...

Get Well Soon!

Good morning!
Welcome to Studio 5380 and happy Friday to you!

Wow - I can't believe that it's Friday already.  My granddaughter, Emma had her surgery on Wednesday (tonsils, adenoids, tubes) and this week has been so busy that it just flew right by. I am so happy to share that she is doing wonderfully! She has been a trooper through this whole process and I could not be more proud of her ♥

So, today's project is a "little something" I made for her. I dropped it by her house yesterday and got my classic "Emma smile" from her.  I thought this was perfect for her because, after all, is there anything that chocolate doesn't make better?......

I started with this sweet, clear acrylic Gable Box I purchased from Jaded Blossom.

Using the adorable new paper stack, Let's Polka, Mon Amie from Lawn Fawn and the Stitched Rectangles die set, I created a mat for the front of the box.

I used the sweet images and sentiment from the Get Well Soon stamp set for the front of my box. I colored them with my Copic markers and added a tiny bit of glitter with a Wink of Stella marker.

Next comes the yummy part....I punched out a few circles from my printed paper with a 3/4 inch circle punch. I added a die cut heart (from the Bugs and Kisses die set) to each circle then glued the circles to the bottom of  my Hershey Kisses....yummy and cute!

And, since I used these super cute prints from Lawn Fawn's new paper stacks, I think I will link up my project with the fun Dots and Stripes Lawnscaping Challenge:

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend - stay warm and I'll see you soon.....
