Hello

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I'm so happy that you dropped by today because I finally have a new project to share with you!  Lately, life has been interfering with my creative time in a big way and it's been almost 2 weeks since I've had a new project to share.  I still have a lot going on and I hope things will settle down soon, but, in the meantime, let's get on with my card....

I started this card what seems like a very long time ago for the sketch challenge that was going on over at My Favorite Things (needless to say, I missed the deadline). Anyway, I had this cute little guy all stamped out and ready to color so I decided to finish up my card even though the challenge is over. And, I'm so glad I did because I love this fun layout.

My Favorite Things products used for this card:
* Blueprints 21
* Blueprints 22
* You Gnome Me Stamp Set

Inside of card.

And, there you go - challenge completed...2 weeks later.

Thanks again for stopping by today. I hope there won't be such a long, dry spell before my next project!  Have a great day and I hope to see you soon....

Long time...no blog!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I thought I better write up a post so that you guys don't think I've dropped off the side of the earth!  Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of the things you want to do? It's been a couple of weeks of just that for me and I'm really missing my inky time and my boggy visits.

So, I'm sad to say that I don't have any new projects to share with you.  But, I did get a wonderfully fabulous, unexpected email a couple of weeks ago and that surprise arrived at my house a few days ago. Just take a look at all this fabulousness....

Last month Jennifer McQuire and Kristina Werner had a huge Erin Condren Gift Certificate giveaway on their blogs. Not just any little Gift Certificate giveway - they gave away 30 (thirty) $100.00 Gift Cards...pretty awesome, huh?  And, guess who happened to be one of those blessed winners? That's right...this girl!  You can see the post on Jennifer's Blog HERE.

Within just a few days of receiving the news from Jennifer, I had my order placed and had received shipping confirmation from Erin Condren Design.  And a few days later all of these wonderful goodies arrived at my doorstep....

I am loving my life planner with my blog name printed over and over!  I also ordered a couple of note pads with my blog name and an awesome address book with my name on it in the same design. Those cute little elastic bands are all silver and sparkly and look great on my books. The box was also filled with cute little inspirational quotes and a coupon for future purchases...awesome!

I really don't have any excuses to be unorganized now, do I?
Okay, time to get up and get moving. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope to be back very soon with an actual project to share with you - my fingers are itching to get inky!  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you soon....

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's another rainy, dreary day here in Southeast Alabama.
But, I've enjoyed it because it gave me an excuse to stay upstairs in my Studio and get inky. Something I haven't done is a couple of weeks! I'm so happy to be feeling better and finding some time to play with my stamps and inks!

 A new challenge always gets me going when I need a creative push, so I thought I would play along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week the challenge is to create your own background and products from My Favorite Things are being showcased.  Here is my card for this week's challenge....

I used the following products from MFT:
* Blueprints 23
* Wild Cherry Cardstock
* Circle Scribble Flowers Stamp Set and coordinating Dies
* Sympathy Stamp Set

And, here is the inside of my card....

I love the pretty font on this sweet sentiment...

Thanks so much for stopping by today - I'm off to link up my card at Simon Says Stamp.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend (looks like it's going to be a rainy one here).
See you soon.....

When you think about quitting...

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Also, a special thank you to everyone who dropped by and left such sweet comments on my last post....you made my day ♥  I'm happy to say I'm feeling much better - no more sore throat or earaches, just a little stuffiness and almost back to "normal".

So, still nothing new going on in the Studio - just haven't felt up to it yet.
In the meantime, I thought I would share this project that I created for my guest spot last month over at Simon Says Stamp.....

I started by cutting two 4X6 inch rectangles from chipboard.  I covered the chipboard with these bright, fun prints from Lawn Fawn and got busy coloring this adorable image from the Work Out stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.

I stamped my sentiment directly onto the cover of my journal and used foam tape to add my image. The stars were cut with the SSS Bundle of Stitched Shapes Die Set and I added a few black Doodlebug Sprinkles.

After assembling the journal with my Cinch, I added a few inspirational sentiments (from the Work Out stamp set) on a few random pages.  I'm hoping this journal will give me the much needed motivation to get up and get moving!

Thanks again for stopping by today.  I hope to have a brand new project to share with you soon. Have a great day and I'll see you soon....

blah.....

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

Just a quick post to let you know that I am still living....feeling pretty blah...but still living.

If I don't post again in the next week....check the local hospitals.
If I don't post again in the next 2 weeks....send flowers...it's not good.

Hope to be back up and getting inky soon, take care!

~~hello~~~~

Hi there!
Welcome to Studio 5380 and happy Monday to you.

I've been running around the house doing the usual "Monday Stuff" - got some laundry done, cleaned a bathroom or two...you know....the usual boring stuff that somebody's gotta do.  So, I figured I had earned a break after that second potty...whew....and got myself upstairs to my Studio!

While visiting a few of my favorite sites, I saw that it's time for another fun Anything Goes Challenge over at the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Blog.  Which is perfect timing because I happen to have on  hand a very sweet stamp set that I recently received from my equally sweet friend, Esther from Arcadia de Papel.  I love it when things work out like that :)

So, here's my card for the Anything Goes Challenge...

After stamping this cute kite from the "Cut Loose" stamp set, I loosely colored the background with a BG000 Copic Marker.  I wanted to the color to be light and sort of "swirly". I always have a hard time capturing the shimmer in a photo, but the clouds are covered with clear Wink of Stella Marker and have a great shimmer.

The hello sentiment is from the "Scripty Sayings" stamp set.
Both sets are available from Paper Smooches.

I added a bit of wonky machine stitching around the edges of my card before paper-piecing and popping up my bright, colorful kite.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I'm off to link up my card then it's back to chasing those dang dust bunnies!  Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon....

You Have My Heart

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's been a very busy day so this one is going to be short and sweet!  I pulled out the super cute "You Have My Heart" stamp set by My Favorite Things to play along with this week's Sketch Challenge:

I also used the Blueprints 21 and Blueprints 23 Die Sets for my card base.

(Inside of card)

It's always so hard to catch the shimmer in photos, but I added a little Wink Of Stella Glitter in Red to the hearts on my card.

Okay, that's about it for me.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you soon....

Make A Splash!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

Wow...Friday already! This week has just flown right past me. It's been a super busy week and I've had very little time to play in my Studio. So, I thought I would share one of my projects for my recent Guest Designer Spot over at Simon Says Stamp.  I fell in love with this sweet image from the Abby's Spring Showers stamp set - I think she is cute as a button....

I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle Dies to make my card mats.  I colored my sky, sidewalk and grass with Copic Markers. Then added these fun raindrops using the SSS Raindrops Stencil and embossing paste. I sprinkled on a bit of glitter before the embossing paste was dry to add a touch of sparkle to my card.

I think you can catch a glimpse of the sparkle in this photo....

I colored Abby and cut her out with the coordinating dies then popped her up on my card with a bit of foam tape.

And, here's look at the inside of my card....

And, that's about it for me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I hope you have a great weekend  - see you soon....
