Wishing You A Day Full Of Fun

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Another long week with very little time to get inky - makes me sad, but that's the way it goes sometimes! I squeezed in a couple of hours last night and another one this afternoon so that I could play along with the current Sketch Challenge going on over at My Favorite Things....

I used lots of My Favorite Things products on this fun card:
* Dots & Stripes Sorbet paper pad
* Clowning Around stamp set
* Blueprints 13 and 21
* Birthday Balloons die set
* Insta Frame die set

All images were colored with Copic Markers - the balloons all received a coat of Glossy Accents.

Inside of card.

The gloves, bow tie, hat and star all got a hit from my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker. A few enamel dots for juggling were all I needed to finish up this happy card.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a Day Full of Fun!

You Color My World!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's been a while!  Last week was just crammed full of stuff to do and Studio time just did not happen.  Today was pretty busy also but I was beginning to have ink withdrawals so I carved out a little time to play along with Lawnscaping Challenge No. 110...

I pulled out the cute Lawn Fawn stamp set, Color My World and my Copic Markers and got busy...

I think my color choice may be a little dark for a rainbow, but it works for a rainbow of crayons!

Have you seen the Glitter Crayons you can buy now?  Crayons sure have come a long way since I was a kid!  Not to be outdone by Crayola, I had to add a bit of Clear Wink of Stella Glitter to my crayons - love the sparkle ♥

My card mats were created with the Lawn Fawn die set, Stitched Rectangles.

Well, tomorrow is going to be another one of those crazy busy days so I guess I better wrap this up and go link up my card at Lawnscaping ChallengesHave a good one and I'll see you soon....

Birthday Bear Hugs

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope your week is off to a great start. Most of my Monday was spent out and about, running errands and trying to get a few things checked off of my to-do list.  After calling it a day I headed upstairs to my studio to play along with the current Sketch Challenge going on at My Favorite Things.  As usual, the card that I had planned in my head looked nothing like what was happening on my desk! So, after coloring, cutting, tossing it in the trash and starting over a few times I finally have a completed card. I was about to head off to bed when I thought I would check the deadline for this challenge...and at just over 9 hours left I decided I better hang in there, get photos taken and get this one posted.  Guess I'll just have to sleep in tomorrow morning!

My youngest grandson, Brayden, has a birthday coming up soon so this one is for him....

I used lots of my new goodies from My Favorite Things on this sweet card:
* Card base and banner - Blueprints 13
* Balloons on background - Clowning Around stamp set
* Bears and birthday cake - Birthday Bears stamp set
* Stars on banner - Star Celebration stencil

I used Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste and the Star Celebration stencil to create the background on my blue banner.

I added Clear Wink of Stella Glitter to all the balloons and the birthday cake.

Brayden will be turning 4 years old next month and I love that this birthday cake image just happened to have 4 candles on it - how perfect is that?!

Even though it's a little late in the ballgame I thought I would share the sketch with you. I love the sketches from MFT and like to refer to them when my inspiration needs a jump start!

Okay, that pretty much wraps things up for me! I'm off to link up my card then head to bed.  I'll be sleeping in tomorrow...so have a great day and I'll see you soon!

---hello friend------

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Today I am sharing another card that I started during the 30 Day Color Challenge that I recently played along with. The background and a couple of the images were completed during the challenge. So, today I pulled everything out, colored a few more images and finally put everything together to create this sweet card......

I started off by drawing the lines for my sidewalk with a Copic Liner and coloring it in with Copic Markers. Next, I masked off the sidewalk and inked up the sky and grass using Distress Inks.

These sweet images are from the Sunday Stroll stamp set by Mama Elephant. I absolutely love this cute set! There are so many tiny little images to be used in so many wonderful ways ♥

The sentiment is from Mama Elephant's stamp set Sunday Sentiments.

The outside of my card took quite some time to color and put together so I kept the inside sweet and simple.

Thank you so much for stopping by today - I always look forward to your visits and kind comments! Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon....

hello

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

I hope you had a great Fourth of July weekend! We got a lot of rain here but it did not stop my neighbors from lighting up the sky with a couple hours worth of fireworks. My poor Lola spent most of the fourth shivering under my bed - poor baby.  She's back to her usual, frisky self today, but...the sun is still up and I'm thinking we may have another show tonight.

I spent most of today playing in my Studio.  I'm still playing catch up with all the images I worked on during the 30 Day Color Challenge. It's pretty great to have images all colored up and waiting to be placed on a card!  Today's card is the result of a watercolor panel I created during the challenge. I'm still working on my watercolor skills, but I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out....

I stamped these fun flowers from the Doodle Buds stamp set by WPlus9 randomly on mat made of watercolor paper. Next, using my TomBow Dual Tip Watercolor Markers, I painted the flowers and background color.

I painted an extra flower, fussy cut it and adhered it to my card with foam tape to add a bit of dimension to my card.

The hello sentiment is die cut from Lawn Fawn's Scripty Words die. I cut out the word four times and adhered them together adding a layer of Black Wink Of Stella glitter.

I added a single flower and a touch of blue watercolor to the inside of my card.

The center of each flower has a bit of Clear Wink of Stella for a touch of sparkle.

That pretty much wraps up today's card!  Thanks so much for stopping in to visit today. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and I'll be seeing you soon....

Treat Yourself

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

It's been awhile...because I had to go four..whole..days with NO internet!  The horror!!
Apparently we had a lightning strike that got some part of our internet connection gizmo that is on the outside of our house (I have no idea what any of that techie stuff is called). So after a desperate call to the cable company we were told that the tech couldn't get to our house until late yesterday afternoon. Pure torture, I'm telling you. Anyway, he worked his magic (bless his heart) and I'm back up and running, although I'm thinking that it may take me a few days to fully recover from the serious withdrawal symptoms I suffered!

So, now that I'm back online it's time to share again!
Let me show you some cute little gift cards I made for my grands...

I started out by using some Distress Inks to watercolor my backgrounds.
The yummy ice cream images are from Lawn Fawn's stamp set Treat Yourself which I colored with my Copic Markers.

I used the Gift Card Die from Jaded Blossom on an insert to hold a gift card to the Dairy Queen.

Each card became a bit more personal with letters created with the Owen's ABCs stamp set from Lawn Fawn

That about does it for me today - thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon (barring any internet glitches)!
