Hello

Welcome to Studio 5380 - thanks for dropping by!
I hope you are having a great day.

Today is one of those busy kind of days, so this post will be short and sweet! Let's get right to it:

I used several products from My Favorite Things to create this card:

* Funky Flowers Stamp Set
* Chevron Fringe Die
* Hello Word Die

I am really loving this Fringe Die!

The flowers are colored with Copic Markers and I added some shimmer with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker.  I also added a few sequins in clear and gold.

Okay...told you...short and sweet!
Thanks again for stopping by. I hope to see you soon!

Good Times

Happy Saturday to you!
Welcome to Studio 5380, I'm so glad you dropped by.

I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Mine is off at a crazy pace as I try to pack way too many things into my day...you would think I would learn ;)   Anyway, today's post will be short and sweet so that I can get onto the next thing on my list....

This cute little guy is from the Simon Says Stamp "Summertime Animals" stamp set. I love his polka dot swim trunks and those fun pineapples.

I colored all the images with Copic Markers. To create a "furry" look on my bear, I colored him first then dabbed the fur areas with a bit of Colorless Blender on a paper towel. The texture of the paper towel works wonderfully to add a furry look!

Thanks again for stopping by today!
Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon.

Sweet Baby Gift

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you are having a wonderful day!

It's been awhile since my last post and I've been missing my crafty time.  I've taken on a new role at our church and I'm still trying to find my groove.  Along with two other wonderful ladies (and sweet friends), I am now part of the Children's Ministry Team at my church.  We will be taking care of classes, teachers and events for our children from nursery to 5th grade.  It's a big undertaking, but those children are so worth it!  I'm hoping the three of us will settle into a routine soon and I'll be able to spend more time in my Studio, doing my thing!

So, one of my new responsibilities as part of the team is to prepare gift baskets for the new babies in our congregation. Can I just tell you how much I love this?  I'm thinking something like this will be one item to go into each gift basket....

I used the Mini Carrier cutting file from SVG Cutting Files and a sweet little sailboat I found in the Silhouette Online Store.

The letters are tiny little stickers I purchased from Hobby Lobby.

I love the touch of tulle, it just adds to the sweet factor ♥
This will go into a pretty basket filled with a soft Teddy, a "Little Lambs" New Testament Bible and a few other baby goodies.

So, I'm thinking this job is going to bring together two of my favorite things - sweet kiddos and crafting!  Sounds like the perfect job for me!  Wish me luck as I get accustomed to the working world again and I'll be dropping by to do some bloggy visits very soon!

Shoot For The Moon!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.

It's Day 3 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and so far...so good! I've made a little time for coloring each day so far and I'm hoping to hang on for the entire 30 days. Some days I can only manage a few minutes, but it's still nice to set aside some "me time".  Today's coloring actually led to a completed card...yippee! And, I'll be linking this one up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

I used several products from Simon Says Stamp for my card:

*Stacked Stars Die
*Shine On Stamp Set
*Uplifting Thoughts Stamp Set (inside of card)

The stars are cut from Silver Sparkle cardstock by My Favorite Things.  I wish I could have captured the sparkle better, it really is beautiful!

Inside of card.

My card base is inked up with Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon.

Before I head off to link up my card, here is a look at the Photo Inspiration for this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  Aren't those colors beautiful?

Look For The Sunlight....

Hello!
Welcome to Studio 5380, I'm so glad you dropped by today!

It's another crazy week around my house so I'm going to make this post short and sweet.  I'm playing along with the current 30 Day Coloring Challenge hosted by the talented Kathy of The Daily Marker.  This challenge runs July 5th through August 5th.  I will be posting my daily coloring on Instagram (you can find my Instagram Link on the sidebar) and I will share my finished projects here on my blog.  So, let me show you what I completed for Day 2 of the challenge:

I started with one of the great pre-printed watercolor panels by  Suzy Plantamura.  You can find them at Simon Says Stamp.  I love how quick and easy it is to put together a card using these panels.  I used my Copic Markers and a white gel pen to color in the letters.

Next, I created a "frame" with the Stitched Rectangle Dies from Lawn Fawn.  I filled the inside of my frame with yellow and clear sequins.

I adhered the shaker portion of my card to a bright yellow card base and there you go - all done!

Okay, that's about it for me today.
Thanks again for stopping by. Have a great day and I'll see you soon!

Congratulations

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for dropping by today.

Life has been pretty crazy around my house lately...but in a good way.  Summer is in full swing and I'm spending some time with the grands, taking on a part time job and joining a new Design Team. So...yeah...a little busy, but I kinda like it that way ;)

At some point today I realized that I had a couple of free hours on my hands and thought I would play along with a challenge. I popped over to the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog and fell in love with their current Sketch Challenge.  We have a sweet new addition to our church family and this sketch worked perfectly for my baby girl card....

I used several MFT Stamps products for this card:
*Blueprints 21
* Blueprints 13
* Stitched Mini Scallop
* Bling it On Stamp Set
* Sweet Forest Friends Stamp Set

All of my images are colored with Copic Markers and I added some clear Wink of Stella to the butterflies and bluebird.

Thanks again for stopping by - I always look forward to your visits and sweet comments!
I'm off to link up my card, but I'll leave you with a photo of the sketch I used before I go...
