You Are My Fairy Tale

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you are enjoying the weekend and finding time to do something you love.  I have a long list of things I should be doing, but I decided to take this day to do things I want to do instead! I don't get the chance to do that very often and I have really enjoyed myself today.

So, one of the things I wanted to do is to play with some new stamps that have just been laying on my desk waiting for me.  I used an adorable set from Avery Elle to make this card:

This one is bright and bold and was lots of fun to ink up!
The background was created with several colors of Distress Ink and masks.

The stamp set is called "Swans" and is made by Avery Elle.
I created my glittery border with the Stitched Round Rectangle Frame die set by My Favorite Things.

And, of course, I had to decorate the inside of my card.
Thanks again for stopping by today.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.  See you soon!

Happy Birthday

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Happy Friday to you!

I'm starting off this weekend with a sweet card I created for the Outstanding Occasions" challenge going on over at the Lawn Fawnatics Blog:

I used several Lawn Fawn products to create my card:
* Fab Flowers Stamp Set
* How You Bean Stamp Set
* Scalloped Rectangle Stackables Die Set
* Polka, Mon Amie Paper Pack
* Perfectly Plaid Paper Pack

I stamped the jar image onto vellum to give the look of glass.  After stamping my flowers, I gave them all a bit of sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker.

An extra stamped rose dresses up the inside of my card.

I finished up my card with a simple white twine bow and a few clear sequins.

And now I'm off to link up my card.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend - see you soon!

Happy Easter

Hello everyone!
Welcome to Studio 5380 and thanks for stopping by.

I have a sweet Easter card to share with you today:

These cute images are from the "Cottontail Cuties" stamp set by Neat and Tangled.  I colored all the images with Copic Markers and added some Clear Wink of Stella here and there for a bit of sparkle.

My layout was created with a few dies from My Favorite Things including the Cross Stitch Rectangle Dies and Blueprints 27 Die Set.

And, of course, I had to dress up the inside of my card.

The adorable prints are from the Doodlebug paper pad, "Spring Things".

Thank you again for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful, blessed Easter Sunday!

He Has Made Everything Beautiful...

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380!

How's your day going? Mine has been full-speed ahead all day and I'm ready for a break!  So, I thought I would take a minute to share a card with you.  The image was colored during the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and I finally got around to adding a few embellishments and putting everything together to create this sweet card:

The stamp is called "Everything Joyful & Beautiful" and is from Unity Stamp.  The flowers and leaves are colored with Copic Markers and I added some gold Stickles to the flower centers.

I used a stencil and embossing paste to add a bit of texture to my background before inking it up with Distress Ink.  For a little more sparkle I splattered on some Heidi Swapp Gold Ink and added a few gold sequins here and there.

And now it's time to get back to work around here!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I always enjoy your visits and sweet comments!

You're Earresistible!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are enjoying a nice, relaxing weekend and finding a little time to enjoy something you love.  I have been able to get in a little crafty time yesterday and today so it's been a great weekend as far as I'm concerned ;)

I'm working on a few Easter projects and thought I would play along with the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge - Interactive Cards:

I used lots of sweet Lawn Fawn products for this set:
*Eggstra Special Easter Stamp Set
* Chirp Chirp Chirp Stamp Set
* Fancy Box Die Set
* Grassy Borders Die Set

To make my card fit the interactive requirement for this challenge, I added an action wobble to the chocolate bunny.  I've never uploaded a video to my blog and my first try turned out a bit blurry.  I really need to work on my video skills but, hopefully this gives you a little peek of the bouncy bunny:

All of my images are colored with Copic Markers.  I used a white gel pen to add dots and squiggles to a few of the eggs.  I also broke out my air gun to add a little color to the banner.

I really love this fun Fancy Box Die and I'm sure I will be using this one over and over.

Okay, that about wraps things up for this post.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you soon!

Love & Thanks

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's a rainy, stormy kind of day here in southeast Alabama.  We've been under thunderstorm and tornado warnings most of the day and it looks like they will extend through the night. I don't like days like this and I'm ready for the sunshine and blue skies to return!

I hear the thunder rumbling, so I guess I better get busy with this post in case we lose power! I have a sweet, simple card to share with you today:

I used the "Buildable Bouquet" stamp set by My Favorite Things.  The flowers are colored with Copic Markers and have a bit of Clear Wink of Stella glitter for a little sparkle.

After coloring my images, I splattered some black acrylic paint onto my cardstock.  My sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder and a simple twine bow finished things up.

Okay, the rumbling is getting louder and my poor little Lola is all curled up in a shivering little ball!  I'm going to get off my computer and go cuddle with her until this passes.  Have a great day and I'll see you soon!

Happy Birthday Blake!

Hello and happy Saturday to you!
Thanks so much for stopping by Studio 5380 today.

Yesterday was a special day....my grandson, Blake, turned 8 years old!  I'm not sure how that happened exactly - there is no way he should be 8 years old already!  Time is flying by much too quickly to suit me these days and my grands are growing up on me.  But, no matter how old they get, I love to make them a little something for their special day....

This was a lot of fun to make...messy, but fun!  I started with an easel gift box file from the Silhouette Online Store.  I used several colors of Distress Ink on the panels to create an "outer space" look.  Next, I splattered Copic Opaque White Ink all over the panels to create the look of stars.

All of these fun little space images are from the "Space Explorer" stamp set by My Favorite Things.  I colored the images with my Copic Markers and added silver glitter for some sparkle (yes, even boys need a bit of sparkle on their birthday).

The pull out drawer is the perfect size for a gift card.

And...a close up look at this cute little astronaut.

Thanks again for stopping in for a visit today.
Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you soon!
