You're the Caramel Apple of My Eye

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
I'm so glad  you stopped by for a visit!

I've been working on a few Halloween treats for some special little goblins that I happen to know and thought I share them with you today...

Don't these look yummy?

I used the super cute "Caramel Apple" stamp set from Lawn Fawn along with their "Tag, You're It" die set to create these fun gift tags.

I put a few Caramel Apple Pops into each cellophane bag and added a tag with a bit of twine. I think this makes such a cute little Halloween treat!

I'm going to be linking up my treats with the current Lawn Fawn Challenge, Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #38 - Awesome Autumn.

Thanks again for stopping by today.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you soon.

I ♥ fall

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for popping in for a visit!

Fall still hasn't arrived in southeast Alabama, but I am so, so ready! We are still having temps in the high 90s and I cannot wait for a break from this heat.  In the meantime, I  guess I'll just have to settle for some fall-like craftiness....

These sweet images are from the "Into the Woods" stamp set by Lawn Fawn.
Images were colored with Copic Markers and the background was created with Distress Inks.

I also used Lawn Fawn's "Leafy Tree Backdrop" die.

So, I'm gonna display my sweet little fall scene in my studio while I burn a pumpkin pie scented candle and crank my AC way down.  If fall won't come to me, I'll just create my own little autumn paradise!

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day - see you soon!

New I need a new hobby!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Well, it looks like I have stumbled into a new hobby!  I've been wanting to give furniture painting a try and after my first project, I'm afraid I'm hooked! I started with an old coffee table I purchased at an antique/thrift store that was inexpensive, watched lots of videos, then jumped right in!
Here's the "before" photo....
Sorry for the bad picture - I took this in the store with my cell phone.
And, here comes the "after" photos....
Very simple project, but I'm loving the way it turned out!

I used all "Dixie Belle" products for my table including:

White Lightning (to clean table)
Mason Dixon Gray
Hurricane Gray
Gravel Road

After my paints dried, I waxed the table with Best Dang Wax in Black and sealed everything thing with Gator Hide.

I put together my fall arrangement from items purchased at Kirklands and Michaels. I love the punch of orange against the grays of my table!

Now I want to roam around all the antique/thrift stores in my area searching for my next project. But, I've gotta do the laundry :(

Thanks again for stopping by.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend - see you soon!

You Nailed It!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380!

I've got a quick (but cute) card to share with you today. This is the first card I've created with "Honey Bee Stamps".  They have some really cute sets and I don't think this will be the last card I make using their adorable images...

These cute nail polish bottles are from the "Shine On" stamp set.

I colored the images with Copic Markers then added some shimmer with a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Marker.

For finishing touches, I added a few sequins and a bit of Nuvo Glitter Drops in "Golden Sunset".

Thank you so much for dropping by today.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I hope to see  you soon!

Sending Love Your Way

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  My Saturday started off with some of my favorites, coffee, breakfast with my hubby and spending the morning in my is good ♥

So, on with my post - I've really been loving the July Stamp of the Month Kit from Unity Stamps. It is full of beautiful images and sweet sentiments.  I created today's card using one of the images and my sentiment is from the Unity Stamp set, "Sending My Love"....

I seem to have gotten away from using patterned paper on my cards lately and forgot how much fun it is to mix and match prints and colors. These papers are from an old paper pad from My Mind's Eye called "Lost & Found".

My image is colored with Copic Markers.

As a finishing touch, I added a few "Sparkling Crystals" from Studio Katia.

That's about it for me today.
Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Embrace Your Inner Flamingo

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380 - happy Saturday to you!

I've got a short (but sweet) post to share with you today.  This afternoon I sat down with some new stamps and pulled out my neglected Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to create this sweet card...

The image is from the July 2018 (stand tall) Kit of the Month from Unity Stamps.  The images in this month's set are absolutely gorgeous and I really love this flamingo.

After water-coloring my image, I added a little bling with a stencil and Nuvo Mousse in Indian Gold.

As I was lifting off my stencil, I smeared the mousse a little on the bottom :(
I seriously considered tossing the whole panel into the trash, but talked myself out of it.

Okay, that's it for me tonight.
Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Have A Magical Day!

Hi there!
Welcome to Studio 5380 and thank you so much for stopping by.

I have always been a fan of Stamping Bella stamps, but have also always been a little bit intimidated by the detailed designs. Recently I decided to just get over it and give it a try and I'm so glad that I did! I ordered several of their rubber stamps (which stamp beautifully by the way) and had so much fun coloring them up. Here's my first completed card...

My background was created with the "Little Bits Fairy House" stamp and those adorable fairies are from the "Little Bits Fairy Set". Aren't they cute?
I used Distress Inks and the MFT "Mini Cloud Edges" stencil for the background.
My sentiment is from the "Fairy Friends" stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

My images are colored with Copic Markers and I added a few details with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils.  Adding colored pencils to my Copic colored images is also something that I have wanting to try. I definitely need more practice, but so far, I'm liking the results.

I finished up my card with a bit of Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter on the fairy wings and a few clear sequins scattered  here and there.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
I always appreciate your visits and sweet comments ♥

MFT Sketch Challenge #392

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Happy Friday to you! feels great to be somewhat settled into our new home and to have a little time to get inky again! I haven't played along with a challenge in a very long time and I totally enjoyed pulling out my stamps and Copic markers to play along with the current My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge.  I'm a little rusty and out of practice with my coloring but I hope to get my mojo back soon!

So, here we card for Sketch Challenge #392:

I used the following MFT products:
*Doodled Blooms stamp set and dies
*Essential Sentiments stamp set
*Blueprints 23 die set
*Stitched Basic Edges dies set

My images are colored with Copic markers and I gave them a bit of shimmer with a Crystal Clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush.

As a finishing touch, I added a few sequins from the Pink Lemonade Sequin Mix by Neat & Tangled.

And now I'm off to link up my card.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to see you soon!

You Make My Heart Smile

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's so good to be back with a post after the busyness of the last 3 months! Life has been pretty much non-stop since my son's wedding in April. We sold our home of 14 years a week or so after the wedding and have been doing major down-sizing since. It's been crazy, but I think we are finally settled into our temporary home while we figure out the next chapter of our lives.  We've also put together and completed another fun VBS program while in the middle of our move! So, yep, it's been crazy and I am so ready for a little down time.
I'm super excited to have the chance to get inky and back to my craft time. I still don't know where all my crafty things are as I'm trying to organize my new room, but it's slowly coming together.  And, I am excited to share my first crafty endeavor since the move.....
I finally got a chance to play with some of the new dies I had ordered way before the move!
My post is also up on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog and you can read all the details about my cards there.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope to be posting more often in the coming days and finding more time to visit all my bloggy friends.  Thanks for not giving up on my during my absence. Crafty friends are the BEST!

Mother of the Groom

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

It has been a busy, busy time around my house lately!  And, I am so very happy to say that my son is  now a married man! The wedding was last Saturday and was absolutely beautiful. We could not be more happy for Brooke and Matthew as they begin their new life together!

My bouquet was looking a little droopy by the time I took this photo!

I don't have wedding photos to share just yet, but thought I would share a few things I created for the wedding over the last few months....

I was so happy that Brooke asked me to make these for her bridesmaids!  I used several products from My Favorite Things to put these together.  About 3 days after mailing these to Brooke, she called me (almost in tears) to tell me that there was a mix-up at the church and the date would have to be changed to April 14th!

Fortunately, I was able to remove the embellishments (oh so gently).  Next, I reprinted the ivory layer with the new date and adhered it on top of the layer with the wrong date. Next, I adhered the embellishments back into place and we were back in business!

This is the assembly line I had going!

My son is a police officer and requested these for his nephews.

I ordered the badges on Etsy and the boys actually worn them during the ceremony.

I also vinyled a few mirrors for the church and the reception.  I was a little nervous to work on something so large, but was so happy with the way they turned out.

It's really hard to get a good picture of a mirror!

I think this one is so sweet!

The scripture mirror is probably my favorite!
I did not do the mirror with "gifts" on it. I think it was written with a gold marker - so pretty.

Thanks for letting me share some sweet memories, I hope to have wedding photos to share with you very soon.
