Grillin' & Chillin' Bug Hop!

Good Morning and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!

Barb over at BugBites has put together two consecutive weekends of Bug Hops.  Last weekend was all about Grillin' and this weekend is all about Chillin'! I'm really excited to be a part of this fun Bug Hop and I'm really happy that you are here to join in on all the fun!

Each designer along the bug trail is featuring a project based on the Grillin' & Chillin' theme.

What's more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at

BugBites for chance to win a Big Prize!

But, there's a twist.  Your project must include at least one Cricut cut and at least one of the critters that have been hidden within some of the bug stop blogs.  Be sure to visit all the bug stops to find all your critter choices.  While you are looking for the critters, be sure to check out the blog candy that each designer has to offer.  You don't want to miss any of it!

Now...time for my Chillin' project....

Most of the cardstock used in this project is from the Tropical paper stack by Brazzill.

On this page I used the following:
*Background mat is from Elegant Edges, cut at Fit to page.
*The umbrella is from Life's A Beach, cut at Fit to page.
*The flower is cut from Pack Your Bags at 2.25 inches.
*I used the flip flops and sunglasses image from Pack Your Bags and cut away the flip flops to use on the second page of the layout.
*I also used a white gel pen, gems, Diamond Stickles and a Martha Stewart punch on this page.

Page 2...

For page two I used the following:
*Sun is from Doodlecharms, cut at 3 inches.
*The phrase "Chillin by the pool" is from Pack Your Bags and is cut at 2.5 inches.
*I used Mini Monograms to create the 3 squares at the bottom.  Each square is cut at 3.5 inches.
*The beach ball is cut at 2.25 inches from Pack Your Bags.
*The sunscreen is also from Pack Your Bags and is cut at 2.25 inches.
*The flip flops are from Pack Your Bags.  This cut includes the sunglasses which I cut away and used on the first page of this layout.
*I used a white gel pen, Diamond Stickles, Prima flowers and a few gems on this page.

Well, that's my project for today!  I really had fun putting together this bright, happy layout.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and I know you will enjoy the rest of the hop.  I do have a small token of my appreciation for your visit and your comments....
