Hi everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
Today is my turn to post over at the Pink By Design blog and I thought I would share my project with you here as well. Today's project is sort of special because it is for my baby boy, Matthew! I'm sure he really doesn't want me to call him "baby boy"...especially since he is turning 29 years old tomorrow, but that's just too bad! (I'm so happy that he doesn't have the password to edit my blog!)
Anyway....29 years ago tomorrow, I gave birth, with great pain and suffering (he always likes for me to throw in that part), to a whopping 8 pound, 14 ounce baby boy! I don't know how the years have flown by so quickly, but that baby boy has grown into a fine young man and police officer and his family is very proud of him!
I'm not sure that he even reads my blog (ha!) but now that I have sufficiently embarrassed him, I'll get on with showing you my project...
Recipe:
* Kraft paper for base of card and milk carton box
* Patterned paper - DCWV The Guy Stack
* Milk carton box is from the Silhouette Store
* Rosettes - card (1.5 X 12 inches) carton (1.25 X 12 inches)
* Stars - Cricut Essentials
* Sentiment mats - hand cut
* "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Pink By Design stamp set Scripted Year and "Have a Whopper of a birthday" sentiment is from the newly released Pink By Design stamp set Sweet Grams
Here's a photo of the card...
and the milk carton box....
Now that I have shared this project with you, I have to get it in the mail before I finish off those yummy whoppers! I ate way too many of them while I was photographing everything...time to get this packed up and out of my craft corner!
Until next time,
So, so cute Tanya!
ReplyDeletelol. They are always our "babies", so let them roll their eyes and get those flushed, embarrassed cheeks. It's never going to change. This is a great masculine gift. I love that you kept it "bling-free", but still gave it some "wow" with those rosettes. I hope your son has a great day...and there are still whoppers in that milk carton. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's some of my favorite paper in that stack and what a great project you created. I love the whole idea - the milk carton is adorable. He should love it. The rosette is perfect with the star - just the right touch.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Larelyn
I love it Tanya
ReplyDeleteSaw this on the Pink by Dessign site and had to stop and say I love it.
ReplyDeleteTanya, this is awesome!! I know what you mean...time flies but our babies will always be our babies no matter how old they are:) I love the cute rosettes and your darling milk carton. I'm pretty sure I would have had to go back to the store for more whoppers because I would have ate them all...a weakness of mine!Love them!
