Simon Says Add A Little Texture

Hi there! Welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday.  Mine started off with a big, greasy biscuit and hot coffee with my hubby then off to the ball park to watch our grandson's very first tee-ball practice!  I had forgotten how much fun tee-ball is!  Those cute little guys and gals are so adorable as they try to figure out which way to run and where to throw the ball - it's a lot like herding cats and I tip my hat to the coaches and assistants who volunteer their time trying to teach these kiddos the basics of baseball.

So, on to today's project.  I am playing along with this week's Wednesday's Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.   The challenge is to Add A Little Texture and Simon Says Stamp's Exclusive products are being showcased.  I will also be linking this card up with the Simon Says Stamp/Lawn Fawn Flickr Co-Challenge (use Kraft paper and SSS and/or Lawn Fawn products).  I guess you can tell that I was a bit hungry when working on this card.....

I created my card base from white card stock then added a tan mat cut with the rectangle shaped die from the Bundle of Stitched Shapes die set.  Using the Falling Snow Stencil and embossing paste, I added "sprinkles" to the mat. I pulled off the stencil and sprinkled with pink glitter before the paste had a chance to dry leaving a sweet sparkly look!

The yummy donuts and fun sentiment are from the SSS I Love Donuts stamp set.  I colored the donuts with Copic Markers, added Glossy Accents and lots of pink glitter.

And, of course, I had to pretty up the inside of my card.  This fun border stamp is also in the I Love Donuts stamp set.

Okay...now I'm really hungry!
I'm off to link up my card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.  Then I plan on eating my photo props with another cup of coffee before taking a nap!  Thanks for stopping by - have a great day and I'll see you soon...

  6. You know I love this. The donuts are making me hungry - and they're pink! Love that. Great sentiment, too. Tee ball is fun. Love to watch the little ones. We went to Cade's (11) last basketball game yesterday. Cade and Gabe are both having baseball practices. Our first game is March 6th. I'm trying to get psyched for 3 months of baseball - 2 grandsons = 2-4 games per week. (lots of baseball)

  7. Love your card Tanya! Your writing makes me smile too! Our little guy just joined tball last summer for the first time and it is amazing how kind the coaches and parents are to take the time to teach how to play. I always took for granted the kids would just know which direction to run, etc... but seeing them learn first hand is so cute.

I can't wait for Arya to get a couple years older (did I just stay that?) to join in the sports.I am SO jealous you have such nice weather! We are -20 right now, yikes! I don't mind winter but bring on the snow and take the cold! This ole' lady can't handle this cold any longer!

Well I couldn't agree with you more on the coaches and volunteers! I LOVE when the ball finally gets hit and they all run for it! no one covering bases, the roll all over the field ~ just the BEST! Enjoy watching them and keep us posted on how the season is going! I miss those days ~ now its so darn serious at 9!!!
