Christmas Glass Block and Ornaments

Well, we are finally getting some cooler weather here in the deep south and I think it may be getting me in the mood to work on some Christmas projects!  I have been working on these simple, but cute Christmas ornaments for all my nieces and nephews.  They turned out really cute so I thought I would go ahead and make a matching glass block for my brother and sister.

* Clear Ornaments - Michaels
* Glass Block - Hobby Lobby
* Ribbon - Michaels
* Vinyl - red, apple green and holly green
* Cricut Cartridges - George (circles) Alphalicious and Ashlyn's Alphabet (letters)

I used etching cream all over the front and back of the glass block before applying the vinyl.  The instructions on the cream will tell you that it only takes about 10 minutes....wrong!  Plan on leaving the cream on for a good 40 - 50 minutes to get good results, and put the cream on really, really thick.

I am going to enter this project at Fantabulous Challenge Me Monday #35.  Projects for this challenge must have something green and a circle so I think I have that part covered!  I hope to have more Christmas projects posted soon, as always thanks for stopping by!
