Joy To The World

Hello and thanks for stopping by.
I am still trying to play catch-up with my Christmas projects and have a very sweet card to share with you today. I'll keep this one short and sweet because I know how busy everyone is at this time of the year. So here we go....

This was created with the darling stamp set "Nativity Play" from Neat & Tangled.

I created a background for these darling images with Distress Ink and my images are colored with Copic Markers.

I really love the way these images pop against the dark, night sky.  This is one of those cards that just makes me happy :)

Thanks again for stopping by - hope to see you soon!

Christmas Mini Gift Bags

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380 - happy December to you!
I cannot believe that December has arrived, it really did sneak up on me this year (just like last year, the year before that, and the year before that....).  Anyway, I do have a few Christmas projects completed that I just haven't posted on my blog yet. So...get ready for a load of posts and pics coming your way over the next few days!

Let's start with these super easy and adorable little gift bags I made with lots of Lawn Fawn products. *WARNING: photo overload!

This is the "girly" version.

And these are for the guys.

I started with the Lawn Fawn "Tote Bag Die" and pretty prints to create the gift bags.

The images are from the LF stamp set, "Holiday Helpers".  I colored all the images with Copic Markers and added some glitter here and there for some Christmas sparkle.

Okay...one project down!
I hope to be sharing more before the weekend is over.
Thanks for stopping by today - see you soon!

Merry and Bright

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thank you so much for stopping today!

I can't believe that we are over half way through November.  It's (past) time for me to get serious with those Christmas cards and gift tags!  I thought it would be fun and motivational for me to play along with a challenge or two and get myself busy on these Christmas projects.  So, today's card was inspired by the current Sketch Challenge going on over at My Favorite Things:

I used the "Perfect Poinsettia" die set and inked up my cuts with several shades of red and green Distress Ink.  I couldn't get the deep, rich red I wanted until I mixed in a little "Ground Espresso" ink and that did the trick.

My sentiments are from the MFT stamp set, "Hand Lettered Holiday".

I stamped my sentiments in black ink then Versamark clear and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I love the shiny look this method creates.

That about wraps things up!
I'm off to link up my project. Thank you so much for visiting with me today.
Have a great day and I hope to see  you soon.

Happiest of Holidays

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I have a couple of projects that I have completed in the last few days but haven't had a chance to post to my blog.  I find that I spend less and less time on my blog these days. It seems everyone has gone to Facebook and Instagram to share their projects, myself included. It's so much faster and easier to share on those platforms.  How do you feel about blog posts and blog visits these days? Too much time and trouble involved or do you still enjoy your blog time?  Some days I think I'm ready to give up my blog completely, but I'm pretty sure I would end up regretting it.  So I guess I'll continue on for now and just see how the trends continue.  In the meantime, I truly appreciate your visits and your sweet comments - they mean so much to me!

Ok...on with today's card....

This adorable Santa is from the "Santa & Friends" stamp set by My Favorite Things. I colored him up with my Copic Markers and added a little glitter to his suit for some holiday sparkle. My background was created with the "English Brick Wall" stencil from MFT.

Isn't that deer the sweetest?

To turn my card into a shaker, I used the MFT die set, "Classic Window".  I added a Christmas tree and some gold star shaped sequins behind the window.

And there you go!
Again...thank you so much for dropping in for a visit.  Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you again very soon.

I finally put together my first Christmas card for the season and I think it turned out pretty cute. It's hard to go wrong with the adorable "Cool Christmas" stamp set from My Favorite Things....

This set is seriously adorable!

Christmas Gift Tags

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

I don't know how November got here so quickly - September is a blur and October went by in a snap! But, here it is and it's time to begin getting things ready for Christmas. So, today I would like to share my first Christmas 2018 project with you....

I put together these sweet, shaker gift tags using a few Lawn Fawn products:

"Say What? Christmas Critters" stamp set/dies
"Say What?" Gift Tags die set

I colored all my images with Copic Markers and added a bit of bling here and there.

I filled the shaker portion of the tag with some cute metallic snowflakes made by Recollections. I've had them for years and am happy to have found a use for them!

And there you go - the start of my Christmas 2018 collection - better late than never!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Starbucks + Candy Corn + Lawn Fawn = Halloween Cuteness!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for dropping by today!

I've been saving those empty Starbucks bottles again...they tend to add up quickly at my house!  They were beginning to pile up so I pulled out some adorable Lawn Fawn images and got busy making some cute Halloween treats....

I used the Lawn Fawn stamp sets, "Costume Party" and "Happy Howloween" for my images and sentiments.

All of my images are colored with Copic Markers and I added some shimmer with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush in clear.

I added a few star shaped sequins and used a silver gel pen to add some stars to the night sky.

A quick bow with some purple twine and lots of candy corn finished up my jars nicely!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great day and I'll see you soon!

You're the Caramel Apple of My Eye

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
I'm so glad  you stopped by for a visit!

I've been working on a few Halloween treats for some special little goblins that I happen to know and thought I share them with you today...

Don't these look yummy?

I used the super cute "Caramel Apple" stamp set from Lawn Fawn along with their "Tag, You're It" die set to create these fun gift tags.

I put a few Caramel Apple Pops into each cellophane bag and added a tag with a bit of twine. I think this makes such a cute little Halloween treat!

I'm going to be linking up my treats with the current Lawn Fawn Challenge, Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #38 - Awesome Autumn.

Thanks again for stopping by today.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you soon.

I ♥ fall

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for popping in for a visit!

Fall still hasn't arrived in southeast Alabama, but I am so, so ready! We are still having temps in the high 90s and I cannot wait for a break from this heat.  In the meantime, I  guess I'll just have to settle for some fall-like craftiness....

These sweet images are from the "Into the Woods" stamp set by Lawn Fawn.
Images were colored with Copic Markers and the background was created with Distress Inks.

I also used Lawn Fawn's "Leafy Tree Backdrop" die.

So, I'm gonna display my sweet little fall scene in my studio while I burn a pumpkin pie scented candle and crank my AC way down.  If fall won't come to me, I'll just create my own little autumn paradise!

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day - see you soon!

New Hobby...like I need a new hobby!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Well, it looks like I have stumbled into a new hobby!  I've been wanting to give furniture painting a try and after my first project, I'm afraid I'm hooked! I started with an old coffee table I purchased at an antique/thrift store that was inexpensive, watched lots of videos, then jumped right in!

Here's the "before" photo....

Sorry for the bad picture - I took this in the store with my cell phone.

And, here comes the "after" photos....

Very simple project, but I'm loving the way it turned out!

I used all "Dixie Belle" products for my table including:

White Lightning (to clean table)
Driftwood
Mason Dixon Gray
Hurricane Gray
Gravel Road

After my paints dried, I waxed the table with Best Dang Wax in Black and sealed everything thing with Gator Hide.

I put together my fall arrangement from items purchased at Kirklands and Michaels. I love the punch of orange against the grays of my table!

Now I want to roam around all the antique/thrift stores in my area searching for my next project. But, I've gotta do the laundry :(

Thanks again for stopping by.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend - see you soon!

The butterfly and sentiment are from the Simon Says Stamp "Beautiful Day" stamp set.

I colored the butterfly with Copic Markers and added some sparkle with a clear Spectrum Noir Glitter pen.  I also added a few clear sequins as a finishing touch.
