Love....

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

It seems like I just posted a project for Friends With Flair over at the Unity Stamps Blog and here it is...Friday...again.  I guess time really does fly when you're having fun!  Anyway, for this week's card I used a sweet stamp from the December 2013 Kit of the Month. I think this sentiment is just lovely...

I stamped my image onto a mat created with the Stitched Rectangle Die set by Lawn Fawn.  Next I colored my image with Copic Markers. After coloring the background with my N1 Copic, I put a tiny bit of Copic Blending Solution onto a towel and dabbed it over the gray background.  I also used a bit on the pink banner - I love the effect this technique gives.

I inked the edges of my mat with gray ink and added a bit of sparkle to the hearts with a Wink of Stella Glitter Marker.  As usual, I did not have ribbon in the right shade so I used my Copic Marker and some white seam binding to create the perfect ribbon for my card.  To top things off, I added these sweet little hearts from Doodlebug.

And, here's the inside....

More mats, more ribbon and a cute little heart die cut with the Bundle Of Stitched Shapes die set by Simon Says Stamp.

That about wraps things up for me today.
Thanks so much for stopping in for a visit! Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you....

EOS Valentine Treats

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

Have you seen all the super cute projects being created with the EOS (evolution of smooth) lip balms?  I ran across several projects both on Pinterest and on Facebook.  When I noticed a pack of 4 at my local Sam's Club, I had to jump on the EOS bandwagon.....

I also grabbed the fun SVG files created just for the EOS lip balm containers over at the Silhouette Online Store. They had several files available and they are all just cute as can be.

This one was fun to glitter up!

This one felt a little plain so I added a sweet ladybug using a stamp from Lawn Fawn.

I decided to package these up for a few special ladies I know....

This is not the best photo - but you get the idea.
I covered a few yummy Hershey Nuggets in coordinating paper using the Candy Wrap Dies by Jaded Blossom. Everything went into cellophane bags along with some red crinkled paper and I tied them all up with a bit of bright red tulle.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon....

Lawnscaping Challenge #98

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

I really enjoy the fun challenges over at the Lawnscaping Challenges Blog because they usually make me work outside of my comfort zone.  Which is great because it makes me try techniques that are new to me or techniques that I wouldn't try to attempt on my own.

The current challenge is to create a background using your Lawn Fawn stamps. Now, I have to admit that I have so much beautiful paper on hand that if I craft for the rest of my life I will never run out of background paper! So, this is probably one of those techniques that I would never attempt on my own.  I enjoyed the challenge, but it sure took me a while to decide what stamps I wanted to use. There so many fun, tiny little Lawn Fawn stamps to choose from! But, here's what I finally came up with for this challenge.....

I created my background first using a Stitched Rectangle Die to create my mat.  Next, I randomly stamped the cute little bee from the Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set.  I colored the bees with Copic Markers, adding dotted lines behind each bee with a Copic Multiliner Pen.

I also used a Copic Marker (BG000) to lightly color the white mat. I was trying to go for a light, airy feeling and kept it loose and open rather than completely covering the mat.

I added some fun Stickles in Frosted Lace to the wings of each bee for a bit of sparkle.  After the glitter was dry, I inked up the sides of my mat, tied a black ribbon around the mat and adhered the mat to my black cardbase.

I created a smaller mat (again using the Stitched Rectangle Dies) and colored it in with my BG000 Copic Marker.  I stamped on the grass using the Gnome Sweet Gnome set and stamped the adorable little Gnome onto another piece of cardstock. I colored him up and paper pieced his hat, fussy cut him out and adhered him to the smaller mat with foam tape. Those tiny little hearts were cut out with a die from the Trim The Tree set. Next, I used more foam tape to add the smaller mat to my card.

And, I always like to add a sweet touch to the inside of my cards....

And I think I'm done!
Now I'm off to link up my card at the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog...

Thanks so much for stopping in for a visit - I really appreciate it!
Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon....

We've got good chemistry!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

Happy Friday to you...it's finally here!  I do love Fridays, especially when I get to play along with Friends With Flair over on the Unity Stamps Blog....

For today's card, I used the December 2013 Kit of the Month, "Happy Love Day".
After coloring the images with Copic Markers, I added some Glossy Accents to make them shine like real glass beakers.

I added some pretty red twine and fun enamel dots to finish up the front of this card.
And, of course, I had to pretty up the inside as well....

This was super easy, I just created a mat of red, a smaller one of white and added a strip of my patterned paper along the bottom. I finished it up with this row of hearts created with the "Valentine Dies" set by Jaded Blossom.

You can really see the shine from the Glossy Accents in this photo!

Okay, that wraps things up for me today - I'm off to link up my card over at the Unity Stamps Blog.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you soon...

Above all else.....

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

I hope you've been having a great day. Mine has been sailing right along - busy, busy, busy.
But, I finally found a few minutes to myself this afternoon.  So, I made myself a cup of coffee, added lots of French Vanilla Creamer, grabbed a couple pieces of chocolate and made my way to my computer.  I thought I would sit down and share a card with you as I completely overlook the mess of paper on my floor and the unfinished project on my desk......

This card is made up in one of my very favorite color combos!  This background paper, made by The Stamps of Life,  makes my heart go pitter-patter!

I used the following sets from The Stamps of Life to create this sweet card:

Large Circle Flip-its (for card base)
* heartlocket2love stamp set

Okay, coffee break is over and the chocolate is gone :(
And, it's time for me to deal with this messy studio of mine.
Enjoy your day and I'll be seeing you soon....

Thinking of You

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

Wow - it's Monday...again. Those Mondays sure do roll around quickly, don't they?
Well, let's get this one off to a bright, happy start....

I really love the way this card turned out, the bright hot pink just pops against the black and whites I used for the card base.

The black and white patterned papers are from the "Everyday Basics" paper stack by My Mind's Eye.
My butterfly was created with the Butterfly Triplets Die Set from The Stamps of Life.

I dressed up the sweet butterfly with a few pearls and a touch of glitter on the antenna.

Okay, that's it for me today.
I hope you have an extra special day and look forward to seeing you soon....

P.U.S.H.

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

It's Friday...(insert happy dance here)!
And, I'm happy to say that I had a chance to create something for this Friday's Friends With Flair going on over at the Unity Stamps Blog....

For this project, I started with a 6X6 canvas and painted it black.  Once it dried I distressed the edges just a tiny bit so that the white would show through in a few places.

Next I created a mat from some bright, hot pink cardstock. I distressed the edges and spritzed the mat with "White Linen" Ink Spray by Dylusions.

I stamped this wonderful sentiment by Stephanie Ackerman onto some X-Press paper and colored it in with Copic Markers. You can't really tell in this photo, but I added a touch of clear glitter using a Wink of Stella Glitter Marker to the heart. It really adds a pretty sparkle to this project.
(You can find the P.U.S.H. sentiment in the Unity Store here.

I also distressed and inked up the edges of my sentiment and added it to the pink mat using dimensional foam tape.

To finish things up I added some jute twine and a pretty daisy with a button center.
I really like the way this turned out and I love the sentiment!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you soon...

Sparkle and Shine

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

I have a fun, sparkly card to share with you today....

I used lots of great shiny products for this one....

The metallic papers are from the "Holiday Elegance" paper pad by Craft Smith.
I used the "Stitched Rectangle" and "Stitched Circle" dies from Lawn Fawn to create my card mats.

The sentiment is from the Sparkle and Shine stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and added some "Gold Tinsel" embossing powder by Ranger.

The word "you" was cut on my Silhouette. I cut the word out twice and glued the 2 layers together. Next I covered it with Glossy Accents and sprinkled on some "Florentine Gold" glitter made by Martha Stewart.

The glittery, gold ribbon was a recent find at Hobby Lobby.

I am going to link up my card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.  The current challenge is "Something New".  This pretty stamp set, the metallic paper pad and glittery ribbon are all new to my stash of goodies.  The challenge closes in just a few hours so I guess I better head over there and get linked up!

Thanks so much for stopping by today - don't forget to sparkle and shine!

Focus!

Hi there and happy Monday to you!
Thanks for stopping by Studio 5380 today, I'm so happy you're here!

Today I have a bright, colorful journal page to share with you.  I love the whole concept of an "art journal" and quickly purchased a journal and ink sprays a year or so ago when journals first became the "new thing".  I worked on a page or two and put it aside where it sort of got lost among all the other projects I had going on at the time.  Well, this year I've decided to take a break from being on a Design Team and just "focus" on a few crafty things that I want to do rather than things I need to do for a Design Team deadline.  Don't get me wrong...I have truly loved my time on each Design Team I have worked with, but sometimes you just need to do what you need to do...know what I mean?

Anyway, moving right along .....

This was really fun to make...messy...but fun!  I started with an art journal from Dylusions, the papers are nice and thick and made to take the Dylusions ink spray which come in such fun colors.

The camera and sentiments are from the new stamp sets, camera2stamp and patterns4camera by The Stamps of Life.  The fun brush strokes are from the brushstrokes2stamp set.

I added a few doodles around the edges of each page with a black gel pen and scattered a few hearts stamped in pink around the pages.  And then I thought I was finished...hmmmm.  As I thought about this journal page, I decided I needed to make it more personal (after all, it is a journal) and add a few things that I would like to "focus" on more in my life. So, I made a little note card to add to the second page....

After giving my card a dose of ink spray and a bit of stamping, I added a favorite bible verse and folded the card in half before adhering it to the journal page.

The card lifts up so that I can continue my journaling on the inside.
This was really a fun project and I look forward to covering all the pages in this journal with things I hold near and dear to my heart!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I always looks forward to your visits and sweet comments. I hope you have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon...

Happy Winter

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
How is your Friday going for you? Mine has been pretty good - slept in, had my coffee, had lunch with good friends, back home and planning on spending the rest of this cold, gloomy afternoon in my Studio with Lola and some great stamps.

I finally found some time to play along with the newest Lawnscaping Challenge and thought I would share my project with you today.  The challenge is to create a Winter Themed Project....

Products Used:
* Hand Sanitizer carrier - Silhouette Online Store
* "Critters in the Snow" stamp set by Lawn Fawn Stamps
* "Stitched Snowflakes" die set by Lawn Fawn Stamps
* "Winter Penguin" stamp set by Lawn Fawn Stamps

It's hard to tell in the photo, but I used some Silver Wink of Stella Glitter on this sweet penguin's ice skates to add a bit of sparkle.

If you have a chance, be sure to check out the Lawnscaping Challenge #97
They have some beautiful inspiration to share and a great prize up for grabs...

Okay, that's all for me today. Stay warm everybody and I'll see you soon...
