Mother of the Groom

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

It has been a busy, busy time around my house lately!  And, I am so very happy to say that my son is  now a married man! The wedding was last Saturday and was absolutely beautiful. We could not be more happy for Brooke and Matthew as they begin their new life together!

My bouquet was looking a little droopy by the time I took this photo!

I don't have wedding photos to share just yet, but thought I would share a few things I created for the wedding over the last few months....

I was so happy that Brooke asked me to make these for her bridesmaids!  I used several products from My Favorite Things to put these together.  About 3 days after mailing these to Brooke, she called me (almost in tears) to tell me that there was a mix-up at the church and the date would have to be changed to April 14th!

Fortunately, I was able to remove the embellishments (oh so gently).  Next, I reprinted the ivory layer with the new date and adhered it on top of the layer with the wrong date. Next, I adhered the embellishments back into place and we were back in business!

This is the assembly line I had going!

My son is a police officer and requested these for his nephews.

I ordered the badges on Etsy and the boys actually worn them during the ceremony.

I also vinyled a few mirrors for the church and the reception.  I was a little nervous to work on something so large, but was so happy with the way they turned out.

It's really hard to get a good picture of a mirror!

I think this one is so sweet!

The scripture mirror is probably my favorite!
I did not do the mirror with "gifts" on it. I think it was written with a gold marker - so pretty.

Thanks for letting me share some sweet memories, I hope to have wedding photos to share with you very soon.

With Love From Owl of Us

Hello!
Happy Monday to you and thanks for stopping by Studio 5380.

Life is pretty crazy around my house right now as we are down to less than 2 weeks before my son and his beautiful bride-to-be are married. I would like to think that things will settle down after the wedding...but I know better! There is always another project calling my name just around the corner!  In the meantime, I'm going to make cards when I get a chance, post when I get a chance and visit my crafty friends when I get a chance. Those things keep me sane...well, at least not as crazy as I would be without my creative outlet!

So...onto the card I recently finished...

Aren't these little critters adorable?
They are from the My Favorite Things "Wild Woodland" stamp set.

I also used the MFT "Thank You Circle Frame" to create a shaker pocket for my card.

My background was created with Distress Inks and the Cloud Stencil from MFT.  My critters were all colored with Copic Markers.

Thank you again for stopping by today.  I always appreciate your visits and sweet comments. Have a great day and I hope to see you soon!
