Hello my friend!

Hello my blogging friends and happy Friday to you!
Do you have big plans for the weekend?  Mine is going to be full-speed ahead because I will have all FOUR of my sweet grandbabies here together!  We are going to have some busy days full of swimming, playing, attending VBS and eating lots of junk food (I stocked up today!).

So, in the calm before the storm, I have a card to share with you....

The Stamps of Life products used:
* phone4you stamp set
* stamp2build stamp set

I added a few enamel dots and some Wink of Stella Glitter on the phone dial.  Remember how long it took to actually dial out a number on this kind of phone?

I didn't have ribbon to match my papers, so I used a Copic Marker to "die" a bit of seam binding for a pretty good color match.

Okay, that's about it for now. I think I'll go write up my next blog post and get it scheduled while it's still quiet at my house!  Have a wonderful weekend and be prepared for lots of photos of my grands in the next week or so (you know this Nonna will have to show 'em off)!

You are my priority

Hi there!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I've got a quick and easy card in one of my favorite color combos to share with you today...

There is just something about this color scheme that makes me happy, happy, happy!
(notice how closely that aqua matches the color used in my blog....♥)

Anyway, I started a kraft paper cardbase and added a layer of this gorgeous aqua after I did a bit of "wonky" machine stitching around the edges.

The heart stamp is from the hearts2diefor stamp set by The Stamps of Life.

The postage stamp was created with postage2stamp stamp set and the Postage Dies.
The cancellation stamp is from the postmarks2stamp set.

I added a few stamped hearts to the inside of my card - and, it's all done!

Thanks so much for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon...

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #139

Hello everyone and Happy Memorial Day to you!
Before I get started with today's project, I would like to say Thank You to all the men and women (past and present) who sacrifice so much to keep our country free. God bless these brave men and women and their families and keep them safe.

So, with Monday comes another challenge from My Craft Spot.  This week's challenge is all about weddings and we would love to see your wedding project linked up with us.  I created a sweet gift box for this week's challenge...

I started with the Wedding Bell Treat Box from SVG Cutting Files.  This box is the perfect size to hold a gift card for the newlyweds.
After assembling the box and wedding bells, I added some sparkly gold glitter to the bells.

I added a pretty bow using a bit of Vanilla Bean Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot.  Using the Rolled Roses Die and some gold ink, I created a sweet flower for the center of my bow.

I finished off my gift box with this sentiment from the Big Sentiments stamp set and a couple of gold enamel dots.

And, that finishes up my project for this week's challenge. I hope you will stop by the My Craft Spot Blog to see the beautiful creations put together by the Design Team.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day!

Hi!

Hi there everyone!
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the start of this Memorial Day weekend.  My hubby and I had a little "get away" earlier this week -we took the RV out for a couple of days and had a great time.  Mostly we were lazy and ate too much - good times :)  So, I plan on spending the weekend getting caught up on projects that are due next month.  I will have a house full of grands this time next week as we get ready for the VBS program at my church, so I better get busy while I can!  We will be celebrating Hannah's first birthday (can't believe she is almost a year old) and enjoying all 4 grandchildren during VBS week - it will be a wild and crazy week, but what wonderful memories we will be making - feeling blessed!

Okay, I really do have a card to share with you today - guess I'm feeling a bit chatty after being away for a couple of days!  I've got a quick and easy card made with another fun Flip-its Die created by Stephanie at The Stamps of Life....

I used the cute Triple Square Flip its Die for my card base.
Printed papers are from Simple Stories.

The sweet little flowers and Hi! sentiment are from the stamp2build stamp set.
I colored a bit of seam binding with a Copic marker to match my printed paper.

That pretty much wraps up this sweet and simple card!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you soon...

Happy Birthday to a special cowgirl

Hello, hello and thanks for stopping by!
It's my turn to post a project on the SVG Cutting Files Blog and as always, I like to share my project with you here as well.

I recently needed a birthday card for a special young lady who is a major horse fan and aspires to be a cowgirl when she grows up.  Here's what I came up with for her special day....

SVG Cutting Files used:

I also used a few Jaded Blossom products to embellish my card:

I love that fun little horseshoe so much that I had to add one to the inside of my card!

And, I guess that pretty much wraps it up for me today.  Thank you so much for stopping in for a visit. As always, I enjoy your visits and sweet comments. Have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon...

Enjoy

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for stopping by today, I've got a fun, summery card that I would like to share with you....

I love the soft pastel shades on this card.
The papers are from the "Summer Magic" paper stack by DCWV.

The flip flops and sentiment are from the flipflops2stamp/sandals4summer stamp set by The Stamps of Life.  I added a bit of "Natural" twine (available at My Craft Spot) along the top of one mat and some fun enamel dots to the flip flops. A little machine stitching pulls everything together nicely.

Thanks again for stopping in today - I hope you will pop in again soon!
Have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon....

Wilderness Escape

Hi there and happy Monday to you.
Wow - it's Monday...again?  How does that happen so often?  Those Mondays sure do seem to roll around faster and faster these day.

I hope you had a great weekend.  Mine was pretty busy and the next few weeks don't promise much of a let-up. But, that's okay - busy is good.  I thought I would take today to share with you what I've been working on for the last 3 months or so.  My hubby and I, along with a very special friend, spend about 3 months each year working on the set for our VBS (Vacation Bible School)  program at our church.  This year we used the "Wilderness Escape" theme and last night was our "VBS Kick Off Party".  At the party we reveal the set, let the kids sing a couple of songs and have a sign up for volunteers for the VBS program.  It's a lot of work and a lot of fun  - the kids have a blast!  So, I thought I would share a few pictures of our set with you today....

We have been building these sets for the last 5 or 6 years, and this is not my favorite, but I do love how our palm trees turned out.

The "mountains" are made from 3/4 inch foam insulation panels as are all the "stones"
The palm trees are made of carpet tubes, cardboard, kraft paper and lots of cement in buckets!

We found these cute little sheep online somewhere - I really don't remember where at this point!  They sat on my living room floor for a few weeks before I carried them to the church. My Lola (Yorkie) didn't quite know what to make of them!

Fortunately for us, we have an avid outdoors-man in our church who built this tent for us.  I'm not sure what we would have done without his help!  You really can't stake a tent on a gym floor (the Elders tend to frown on large holes in the floor) so John figured out how to stake the tent to 40 pound bags of sand.  Heavy to move in, but very effective!  Those stakes quiver when you touch the lines, but so far the tent hasn't budged!

Our VBS program will start on June 1st and run through June 5th.  It's a great program and so much fun, I wish you could all join us!  Thanks for letting me share my pictures with you - now you know why I have been a slacker on blog visits!  Let me get through the next few weeks and I'll be back to visiting and commenting again.  Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon....

You make my heart go flip-flop!

Hello and happy weekend to you!
I'm so happy that you stopped by today cause I've got a super sweet card to share with you...

This is one of those cards that just makes me happy!
I love the colors, the patterns and that fun sentiment - it all just sorta comes together in a way that puts a smile on my face. You know what I mean?

I also love this cute Arched Fold Over Card Base from Ann at SVG Cutting Files.

The cutie patootie flip flops are from the flipflops2stamp/sandals4summer stamp set and the sentiment is from the patterns4sandals stamp set by The Stamps of Life.

Well, I guess that's about it for me today.
I hope you have a flip-flop kinda weekend - relax and enjoy and I'll be seeing you soon....

SVG Cutting Files 3-2-1 Challenge

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's time for another great challenge over at SVG Cutting Files and this is going to be a fun one!  This month's challenge is called:
3-2-1
And, here's how it works:
Use 3 of something, 2 of something and 1 of something on the same project.  An example would be 3 buttons, 2 patterned papers and 1 sentiment.  Sound like fun?  Need a bit of inspiration to get you started?  There's lots of great inspiration on the SVG Cutting Files Blog today, be sure to stop by because you don't want to miss the fabulous projects the DT has in store for you.

Okay, let me show you my 3-2-1 project....

Here's my 3-2-1 lineup:

I used 2 Cutting Files from SVG Cutting Files
I used 1 Sentiment from the Super Hero Stamp Set by Jaded Blossom

The fun baseball and bat are from the SVG Cutting File set, Kawaii Baseball. These cute little guys just make me smile - seriously, just look at those faces!
I used the  Mini Tag Dies set by Jaded Blossom for my sentiment. The flag shape is just perfect for the baseball themed set.

I used the Jaded Blossom Candy Charms & Banners Die set to cover the tops of my candy tubes.

So, there you go. You're up next!  I hope to see your project linked up with us over at SVG Cutting Files.  Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon!

"Honey Do" List & A Winner!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Today I have a fun little project and the winning name of the cute pb&j2enoy stamp set I had up for grabs to share with you.  So, let's start with today's project (you didn't really think I would start with the winner's name now did ya?).....

This is a mini version of the classic black composition book.  It's about 3.5 by 4.5 inches and I found them in a package of 4 or 5 a very long time ago. I don't remember where I found them, but they were just too cute to resist!

So, anyway I came across them a few days ago and thought I would dress this one up with some great stamps from The Stamps of Life.

Here's a list of the stamps used:

I colored those sweet little bees with my Copic Markers and added some glitter with a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  Since I usually have a "serious" list of projects for my hubby, I thought I would give this to him for Father's Day - a list he can appreciate!

Okay, so about that set of stamps I had up for grabs - I threw all the names into the hat and the winning name is....

Stephanie
Love this. My flip flops are my wild streak. I found zebra and leopard print with sequins flip flops. This card is perfect.
Liked your FB page too.

Congrats Stephanie!  I'll be getting in touch with you soon!
Thanks to everyone who left a comment, became a follower and liked my facebook page. I hope you will continue to stop by for visits when you get a chance!  Have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon....

You are a First Class Friend

Hi there and welcome!
I've got a quick post to share with you today about a new (to me) crafting toy that I'm just loving!  You know how it is when you need a card...fast....like....going out the door and need it now kinda fast?  You would think that as many cards as I have made, I would always have just what I need on hand - but that is so not the case most times.

Anyway, I recently got my hot little hands on a couple of the Framelit Flip-its Card Dies designed by Stephanie at The Stamps of Life.  Oh my gosh - this little gadget makes putting together a card so fast and easy! I am loving this fun new addition to my Studio....

So, for this card, I used the Fancy Edge Flip-its Die.  One die was used to create the blue card base. Also included are 2 dies to create your layers (printed paper), a couple of tag dies and dies for those cute little flowers - how great is that?

I also used the Postage Die Set for my sentiment which is from the postage2stamp stamp set.
I added a couple of pearls for flower centers and some twine to finish up the front of this card.

I added a layered square to the back of my card to write my message and one more sweet flower.
I love how quick and easy it was to put this card together!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'm sure I will have some more of these fun Flip-its cards to share with you soon....

My Craft Spot - Challenge #137

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's Monday and time for another challenge over at My Craft Spot.  This week's challenge is:
Technique - Inking.

This challenge made me think outside my normal comfort zone and try something a bit different. I have collected a nice assortment of inking sprays and I've actually used them a couple of times on pages in my art journal. But, I've never tried them out on a card - so this challenge seemed like the perfect time to give it a go....
My technique:
* I started with a piece of Express It paper and gave it a mist with water.
* Next, I spritzed on Dylusions Inks in the following colors: Bubblegum, Cut Grass and Vibrant Turquoise.
* I spritzed on more water and dabbed it up with a paper towel, blending the colors as I dabbed.

*After allowing the inks to dry, I used a polka dot stencil and white ink (Hero Arts) to create the circles on my card.
* Once the circles were dry, I stamped on my sentiment from the Chalkboard Sentiments stamp set by My Craft Spot.

A few sequins in Caribbean Blues and a bit of Black Jute String were my finishing touches.

This was a fun card to make - messy, but fun.  I think I'll be trying this method again sometime soon. I'm anxious to try other color combinations and see what I end up with!

I hope you will stop by the My Craft Spot Blog to see what the other Designers have to share with you today.  I also hope you get a chance to play along with our challenge. I would love to see your inking technique linked up with us this week.

Before I let you go, I would like to remind you that you still have a chance to get your name in the drawing for the set of stamps I am giving away. If you missed the post, you can see it HERE.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll be seeing you soon....
