Thinking Of You

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

It's Friday and time for another Friends With Flair link up over at Unity Stamps. I was able to play
along this week and used the a beautiful stamp from the lovely September 2014 Kit of the Month...

I colored my image with Copic Markers then distressed and inked up the edges.  You can't tell in the photo, but I also added some Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter to the dragonfly for a bit of sparkle.

The sentiment is from the Sending My Love stamp set.

I did not have a flower on hand in the color I needed, so I used a white flower, a Copic Marker and my air brushing system for the perfect match.

And, now I'm off to link up my card with this week's Friends With Flair.
Thanks for stopping by today - have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you soon....

Slumber Party!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380 - thanks for stopping by today!
Okay, I'm going to jump right into this post because I'm so excited about my new stamps!  Have you seen the fabulous new release over at Simon Says Stamp? Oh. My. Goodness....total cuteness!

I used the adorable new Slumber Party stamp set and coordinating dies for today's card....

Isn't she just the sweetest little thing?

I started with Simon Says Stamp's Bundle of Stitched Shapes to create my card mat. I wanted the look of a quilt (because you always need a quilt at a sleepover) so, I cut small squares of some bright, happy prints and solids and arranged them along the bottom of my card.

Next I colored up this little cutie and a few of the fun accessories included in this set with my Copic Markers and cut them out with the dies.

I added a few more "quilt squares" and those fun slippers to the inside of my card.

And there she is...all ready for a fun slumber party!

Thanks again for stopping by today.
I hope you have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon....

Simon Says Add A Little Texture

Hi there! Welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday.  Mine started off with a big, greasy biscuit and hot coffee with my hubby then off to the ball park to watch our grandson's very first tee-ball practice!  I had forgotten how much fun tee-ball is!  Those cute little guys and gals are so adorable as they try to figure out which way to run and where to throw the ball - it's a lot like herding cats and I tip my hat to the coaches and assistants who volunteer their time trying to teach these kiddos the basics of baseball.

So, on to today's project.  I am playing along with this week's Wednesday's Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.   The challenge is to Add A Little Texture and Simon Says Stamp's Exclusive products are being showcased.  I will also be linking this card up with the Simon Says Stamp/Lawn Fawn Flickr Co-Challenge (use Kraft paper and SSS and/or Lawn Fawn products).  I guess you can tell that I was a bit hungry when working on this card.....

I created my card base from white card stock then added a tan mat cut with the rectangle shaped die from the Bundle of Stitched Shapes die set.  Using the Falling Snow Stencil and embossing paste, I added "sprinkles" to the mat. I pulled off the stencil and sprinkled with pink glitter before the paste had a chance to dry leaving a sweet sparkly look!

The yummy donuts and fun sentiment are from the SSS I Love Donuts stamp set.  I colored the donuts with Copic Markers, added Glossy Accents and lots of pink glitter.

And, of course, I had to pretty up the inside of my card.  This fun border stamp is also in the I Love Donuts stamp set.

Okay...now I'm really hungry!
I'm off to link up my card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.  Then I plan on eating my photo props with another cup of coffee before taking a nap!  Thanks for stopping by - have a great day and I'll see you soon...

Happy Birthday - Lawnscaping Challenges!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit!

The creative ladies over at Lawnscaping Challenges are celebrating the blog's 100th Challenge with a Birthday Celebration Challenge!  I have several upcoming birthdays in my family so I thought I would play along with this challenge and knock out one of those cards on my list.....

I used several Lawn Fawn stamps and dies to create this fun card:
* Stitched Rectangle Dies (card mat)
* Stitched Party Banners Die
* Feathered Friends for Simon Says Stamp (birds & music notes)
* Grand Greetings stamp set (Sentiment)
* Year Three stamp set (birthday cake)
* Trim The Tree Die set (hearts)
* Spooktacular stamp set (candy corn became birthday hat for birds)

I always have trouble photographing the sparkle from Wink Of Stella Glitter Markers, but it adds just the right touch of sparkle.  I added clear glitter to the hearts and white icing on the cake.

I also added some cute little pom-poms to the birthday hats I made with the candy corn stamp from the Spooktacular stamp set.

A couple of bright, happy balloons from the Admit One stamp set finish up the inside of my card.
And...all done!

Thanks again for stopping by today - I always look forward to your visits and sweet comments.

From The Bottom Of My He{art}....

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day weekend! Mine was filled with lots of family, fun and laughter as we celebrated Valentines and my Mama's Birthday.  And, here it is...Tuesday already!  I'm still recovering from the weekend and trying to get back into my "normal" routine. So, while I should be cleaning my house and catching up on laundry {sigh}...I instead headed straight upstairs to my Studio to play this morning....makes sense...right?

While the dust bunnies and laundry are waiting for my return, I had fun playing along with the Anything Goes challenge over at the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Blog ....

And, as you can tell, I'm still having fun playing with my watercolors ♥

After using some pretty blues and greens on my watercolor paper, I stamped this fun easel and sentiment from the I Heart Art stamp set by Paper Smooches and colored it up using Copic Markers on the wooden parts of the easel and watercolors on the canvas part.

I added a fun heart cut from hot pink felt using the Bundle of Stitched Shapes die from Simon Says Stamp.  I used a Copic Marker to color a bit of seam binding for my hot pink ribbon and added a few white sequins to finish things up.

A few paint splatters, ribbon and this cute paint brush (also from the I Heart Art stamp set) dress up the inside of my card a bit.

And, that's about it!
I guess I have to go downstairs and back to the real world of laundry and dust bunnies now {sigh}.  But, before I do, I'm off to link up my card with the

Challenge - over at.....

Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you have a great day and I'll see you soon....

smooches.....

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Happy Friday to you!

It's so good to be back after dealing with a 3 day headache.  I tend to get "weather-related" headaches and anytime the barometer gets out of whack...so does my poor head.  We've had a cold front that has been headed our way for the last few days and I've been miserable.  Today I seem to be catching a break and I've been itching to get back in my Studio so I have a quick and easy Valentine's Day card to share with you....

This one was super fast to put together and I think it turned out pretty cute.
I started with a square mat of watercolor paper which I painted with my current favorite color.

The adorable "smooches" sentiment is from the "Scripty Sayings" stamp set created by (appropriately enough) Paper Smooches.

Those big, smoochie lips are a cut file I purchased from the Silhouette Online Store.
They got a couple coats of Glossy Accents and look ready to pucker up!

After stamping my sentiment, I added a few squiggle lines with a black pen and stamped on some pretty hearts (also from the Scripty Sayings stamp set).

There you go, quick and easy and kinda cute!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I know I probably owe everyone in bloggy land a visit and I'll be stopping by your place soon.  Got to see everything I missed while I was nursing this head of mine!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day ♥

Valentine Cards For My Boys

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you're having a good day and finding some time to get inky!  My afternoon was spent finishing up Valentine cards for a couple of real cuties...my grandsons, Blake and Brayden....

I used my favorite (at this moment) color combo again ♥

I also used lots of fun stamping goodies for these cute cards:

* Patterned Paper - lovebugs paper stack by Doodlebug
* Mats - Lawn Fawn, Stitched Circle Dies
* Adorable images and sentiments - Quite The Pear stamp set by Simon Says Stamp

I did a bit of wonky machine stitching around the edges of each card and colored the images with my Copic Markers.

A bit of twine, a few enamel dots and hearts finished up the outside of my cards.

And, of course, I had to pretty up the inside!
I used a Banner Die from LaLa Land that I've had forever and finally pulled out of the drawer. Those hearts are just perfect for Valentine projects - don't think this one will go back into the drawer until this holiday is over!

Okay, so that's pretty much the scoop with these cards.  Now I'm off to link up these cuties at a couple of fun challenges going on....

Be my love bug

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Happy weekend to you!

Today I have a sweet Valentine's Day card that I created for the current Lawnscaping Challenge.  This one was a toughie for me because the challenge is Clean and Simple.  I really have a hard time with this type of card because I just can't seem to leave it alone. After all, I do have all these embellishments that I need to use up...right?  Anyway, I'm trying to get outside my crafting comfort zone these days and here's what I came up with....

I used the Stitched Rectangle Die Set to create my mat, cutting the white mat from watercolor paper.  Again, trying to move out of my crafting comfort zone, I pulled out my watercolors and used 3 shades of pink on the bottom of my mat.

Next, I cut out a few hearts with the Stitched Party Banners Die Set and painted them in shades of pink.  I colored these sweet little bugs from the Bugs & Kisses Stamp Set with my Copic Markers, die cut them and added them to the hearts.  It's hard to tell in the photo, but the bugs and tiny heart all received a bit of sparkle with a Wink of Stella Glitter Marker.

And, here is the inside of my card.
That pretty much wraps this one up!  Thanks so much for stopping by today - I'm off to link up my card over at the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog...

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you soon...

Need to Venti?

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.

I hope your week has been going well for you.
So far, so good around here! It's been a bit busy, but I made some "me time" today and played in my Studio most of the day (♥).  While checking out some of my favorite blogs, I noticed a fun challenge going on over at the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Blog. This is my favorite type of challenge:
ANYTHING GOES!  So, I had to play along....

So, I've really been wanting to try my hand at using watercolors somewhere on my card (late to the party, I know).  I finally got brave enough to give it a try and I am loving the way it turned out!

After cutting out my white mat, I dabbed a bit of clear water across the bottom portion and added my watercolors. I used the cheap-o watercolor set from Michael's, but it has such pretty colors.

I added a few splatters of watercolor and stamped on the "hello" using the oh-so cute Paper Smooches stamp set Bold Buzzwords.  I love the fonts on this fun set.

The great coffee cup is from the Hot Concoctions stamp set. I colored this little cutie with my Copic Markers and did a bit of fussy-cutting.  For a final touch, I added some Frosted Lace Stickles to the whipped cream to remind me of my favorite (at this time) Starbuck's Concoction - a Salted Caramel Latte....yum.

To finish up, I added a heart stamped heart and some shiny sequins.
Now, I'm off to link this up over at the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Blog - wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by - see ya soon.....

Valentine Treats

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

So, here we are...February 3rd already.  How you doing with those Valentine projects?
I needed a little motivation to get myself into "Valentine Gear" so I thought I would play along with the current challenge going on over at Jaded Blossom.  This month's challenge, Valentine Treats got me busy making a few sweet treats for some special little people I happen to love ♥♥♥

I used a load of adorable Jaded Blossom goodies to make these fun lollipop holders:
* Lollipop Die
* Cardmat Dies
* Flag Dies
* Foxy Stamp Set
* Funny Mail 2 Stamp Set
* Puppy Love Stamp Set
* Bug A Boo Stamp Set

Each sweet image was colored with Copic Markers and given a bit of sparkle with a Wink Of Stella Glitter Marker.

This is the first time I've used the new Lollipop Die and I see myself using this one over and over!

Okay, that wraps up my project for today.
Thank you so much for stopping in for a visit, your visits just make my day!
I'm off to link up my project at the Jaded Blossom Blog - have a great day and I'll see you soon...

Happy Birthday (chalkboard style)

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

Happy February to you! I'm not sure exactly where January ran off to, but my calendar says it's time for yet another new month. My calendar pages seem to need changing faster and faster these days!

Anyway, I've got a fun birthday card to share with you today....

I made this happy card with some great products from The Stamps of Life:

birthday4cookie (sentiment)

I used black cardstock and stamped my image in white ink. I also inked up the edges to add a fun chalkboard look. Then I added a few random, brightly colored sequins.

Super fast and easy and so happy!

Okay, it's back to doing "Monday Stuff" for me.
Thanks so much for popping in - have a great Monday and I'll see you soon....
