Thank You

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.

Thanks for stopping by to see my last post for 2017!  I cannot believe that we are about to usher in another new year! The years seem to go by faster and faster as I get older (and older).

It seems appropriate for my last post of 2017 to be a Thank You card because I have so much to be thankful for in my life....

These cards were quick and easy to put together.
I used the Striped Sentiment Strip Cover Up from My Favorite Things to create the top layer.  I love the pretty colors I created with just a few Distress Inks and the colors really pop against the black card base.

I added a few splatters of  Gansai Tambi White Gold watercolor to my panels.  The Thank You sentiment and heart are cut from dies made by My Favorite Things.

Well, I guess that wraps it up for this year!
Thank you for all the visits and sweet comments over the year and years passed.  I always look forward to and appreciate your kindness.  Have a wonderful New Year and I hope to see you soon!

Laundry Today or Naked Tomorrow!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380!

Have you recovered from Christmas yet?  I finally have all the decorations down and my house is looking somewhat normal again.  As much as I miss the pretty lights and decorations, it always feels good to get my house back in order.  And, once that job is completed, I feel less guilt about spending a little time in my studio.  So, let me show what I made for my laundry room yesterday....

I came across this pretty tray at Michael's a while back and bought 2 of them.  Wish I had bought more!  I used a cut file from the Silhouette Store to create a stencil then sponged on some chalk paint in black.

I love this sentiment...story of my life!

The jars are from Hobby Lobby.  The sentiment is also from the Silhouette Online Store.  I use vinegar in most of my laundry so I had to have a cute bottle. I can't remember the font I used for the word Vinegar, but I love the way it turned out.

While I still don't love doing laundry, this project makes me smile every time I step into my laundry room :)

Thanks for stopping by today.
See you soon!

Merry Christmas From Our Home To Yours

Merry Christmas!
Welcome to Studio 5380, thank you so much for visiting.

I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas day!  We celebrated a few days early this year so today has been a little on the quiet side.  I've enjoyed spending the afternoon in my studio playing with some Christmas stamps that I didn't get to use before Christmas.  My crafty time has been so limited this year and I just didn't have time to do all Christmas crafting I had planned. So, my plan is to create something Christmas related at least once or twice each month in preparation for next year.  We will see how that goes, but here is my first project for next year....

I am really loving the non-traditional colors on this pretty Christmas card.

I used several Lawn Fawn products including:

* Christmas Dreams stamp set
* Winter Village stamp set
* Forest Border die set

Images were colored with Copic Markers and have a bit of Wink of Stella shimmer.
The holly and berries were cut from a Silhouette Online Store file and colored with Copics.

Thanks again for dropping by!
Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon....

Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Well, it's December the 13th already and I am running behind schedule on pretty much everything I need to accomplish before Christmas...especially on creating Christmas cards.  There just never seems to be enough hours in my day :(

Anyway, I did get one more card finished last night and I think it turned out pretty cute...

These cute little snowmen and the snow globe are from the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Ready, Set, Snow. I colored the images with Copic Markers and added a bit of shimmer with some Ranger Distress Glitter in Clear Rock Candy.  I also used a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen on the snowflakes.

Those gorgeous snowflakes are from the Layered Snowflakes die set by My Favorite Things.

And, one more Christmas card to mark off the list!

Thanks again for stopping by today.
I'm off to work on getting some gifts wrapped now.  I hope you have a great day!

Too Many Candles

Hi there!
Welcome to Studio 5380, I'm glad you stopped by for a visit.  Today's post is going to be short and sweet because I have to get ready for our annual "Cookies With Santa" event at church this afternoon.  But, I couldn't let this day get away without a special birthday card for my hubby....

This was a super easy and quick card to put together.  The candles and sentiment are from the "Make A Wish" stamp set by My Favorite Things.  After stamping the candles, I added some sparkle with some "Frosted Lace" Stickles.

The "celebrate" sentiment was created with a die from My Favorite Things.  I die cut the word three times and adhered the layers together. After the layers were dry, I added more "Frosted Lace" Stickles.  I love the sparkle!

Happy birthday to my favorite fella ♥

Thanks again for stopping by!  See you soon...

Noel

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.

Can you believe that December is only 2 days away?!  I am so behind on my Christmas cards this year and really need to get a move on.  When I find myself struggling to put together a card, I find that sketches and challenges really motivate me and get the ideas flowing in my head. So, a Sketch Challenge was just what I needed for today's card. Of course, I saw the challenge yesterday and the deadline is in one hour...talk about motivation!  Here's my card for the current (at least for another hour) Wednesday Sketch Challenge at My Favorite Things...

My background is inked up with several shades of blue Distress Ink and cut out with the MFT Stitched Mod Rectangle Dies.

I also used the following MFT Stamps products:

Snow Capped Mountains Die Set
Deer Love Die Set
Hand Lettered Christmas Stamp Set

I added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to the snow for some sparkle and a few clear sequins to finish up this simple card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  And, now I'm off to quickly link up my card before the challenge is closed! Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon.

Merry Kiss-Mas

Hello!
Welcome to Studio 5380, I'm so glad you stopped by.

It's my turn to post on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog today and I thought I would share a few pictures with you here as well.  This was a super fun project and I think it turned out pretty cute...

I used lots of wonderful products from My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn to create these cute Christmas tags.

I found these sweet little Rudolph chap-sticks at Target and knew that I wanted to use the reindeer from MFT Stamp's "Jingle All The Way" stamp set.  He's just perfect!

Be sure to stop by Butterfly Reflections Ink to see all the details!

Thanks again for stopping by today - see you soon!

Merry Christmas

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

I hope your Black Friday has been going well.  I've had a great day! I've spent most of the day in my Studio, alternating between Black Friday online sales, vinyl Christmas projects and card making.  I've also consumed lots of Iced Coffee and chocolate...my kinda day!

I worked on this card this afternoon and cannot get a decent photo no matter what I try.  I probably should wait until tomorrow when I have some sunlight, but I'm ready to put this away and get started on the next thing.  This card is super sparkly, but when I try to capture the sparkle, I seem to lose the vibrant colors created with my Distress Inks.  Anyway, here we go....

The background was created with Distress Inks in the following colors:
Peacock Feathers
Mermaid Lagoon
Wilted Violet

After blending my inks, I spattered my cardbase with a little "Starry Colors" by Gansai Tambi in White Gold.

The intricate die cut is from the Mesmerizing Mandala die from My Favorite Things.  I used their silver glitter cardstock and love the shimmer!

The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Christmas Dreams. I stamped with clear Versamark ink and embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.

As a finishing touch, I added a few silver star-shaped sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Okay - time to get back to some Christmas crafting and maybe a little more shopping.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  See you soon!

Fall Is Here

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!
Wow..it's been over a month since my last post!  I have been so busy lately and have really missed spending time in my studio and visits with my bloggy friends.  I spent a few hours in my studio yesterday and had such a fun, relaxing time.  I really have to work on tweaking my schedule so that I can get back in here more often.  So, let me show you what I made....

Isn't she cute?
This little girl is from the "Pumpkin Spice It Up" stamp set by The Greeting Farm.

I used the "Stitched Mod Rectangles" die set by My Favorite Things to cut out my background.  This is such a fun die set, I think I'll be using this one pretty often.

While I've got you here, I wanted to share with you that last month I was able to cross something off my bucket list.....

 Image may contain: text

This was an amazing, awesome, exhausting experience!  Jennifer Dove and her crew are beyond talented and so kind and encouraging.  I can't say enough wonderful things about them.

I have been playing catch up since getting home from my week in Arizona!  I hope to find the time to sit down and go back through the workbook from Boot Camp and put the things I learned into action.  Today's card was the first thing I've colored since Boot Camp and I am terribly out of practice. If you ever get a chance to attend one of Jennifer's classes, I highly recommend it, she is not only out-of-this-world talented, but so much fun and oh, so entertaining!

I also never got around to sharing the cute little Halloween treats I managed to squeeze in last month.  Better late than never I guess....

These were made with lots of Lawn Fawn goodies and were really fun to put together.

Okay, I guess this about brings me up to speed!  I hope to be back more often and look forward to doing some bloggy visits.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

Happy Halloween

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I can't believe how long it has been since my last post!  Life and work and more life have just made it difficult to do much creating in the last few weeks. I would like to say that I see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I'm really afraid it's just the train!  I'm trying to go with the flow and enjoy the time here and there that I can find to create. I'm much too blessed to be stressed ♥

So, this is a card I made several weeks ago. I shared it on my Instagram page (because it's so easy and so...instant).  But, I just haven't found the time to do a blog post...until today!  So here goes...

I used some super cute Lawn Fawn goodies for this card:
* How You Bean? stamp set and dies
* How You Bean? Candy Corn Add-on stamp set and dies

I love the way this fun shaker card turned out. The purple just pops and those candy corn pieces are pretty yummy looking!

And, here's the inside.  How fun is that sentiment?

Ok, that's it for me today. Time for more work and life and work.
Have a wonderful day, take care of yourself and I hope to see you soon!

Hope Your Halloween is Frightfully Sweet

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.

It's been awhile since my last blog post - life got in the way of my crafty time...again!  But, I'm back again with a fun Halloween card to share with you today. I can't believe that September is almost over and it's time for all things Halloweenie!

This card was so much fun to color and put together.
These cute images are from the "Fab-Boo-Lous" Friends" stamp set by My Favorite Things.

My purple background was created with Distress Ink in Wilted Violet.  And, I used the My Favorite Things, Blueprints 27 dies to create the elements for my background.  The sentiment is from the "Spooky Sentiment" stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
