God Bless The USA!

Hello and welcome!
How is your Memorial Day Weekend going for you?  I've been pretty busy trying to get projects completed before our little Miss Hannah Elizabeth makes her debut!  I've managed to get several things finished and actually found a bit of spare time to relax in our pool.  The water temperature has finally warmed up enough that I can get in the water without my teeth chattering...lol!

I completed this card today and wanted to take a minute to share it with you and to let you know about the great sale going on over at Peachy Keen Stamps.  Not only is there a great sale going on, but with your purchase over this holiday weekend, you will also receive (free of charge) the stamp I used to create this card....

Recipe:
* I created a 5X5 card base out of blue cardstock.
* Layers are from the "Stars and Stripes" paper pad by Doodlebug Design
* I machine stitched around the edges of my mats

* I used pop dots to lift the smaller mat off the card base a bit.
* The flag/heart is colored with Copic Markers.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I filled in the stars with my Atyou Clear Glitter Pen

Here's a look at the awesome sale going on over at Peachy Keen Stamps right now:

I think it is awesome that Kathy is donating 10% of all proceeds from this sale to the
American Red Cross!

Ok, that's it for me today! I hope you enjoy the rest of this special holiday weekend and I'll be seeing you soon.....

Until next time,

Have a Sunny Day!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner.
I can't believe that it's Friday night already. This week has just flown by and now it's time for the long Memorial Day Weekend!  Do you have big plans for the weekend?  I am going to be busy, busy, busy trying to get caught up on projects, yard work and a few things on my "to do" list.  I've got to get things finished up around here because we should be welcoming our newest grand daughter pretty soon now.  If she doesn't decide to make an appearance over the holiday weekend, her Mommy will be induced on Tuesday....I can't wait to meet our newest little one!

I have a fun, summertime card to share with you tonight.  I think this image is so cute and just perfect for a summertime hello.....

I still need a lot of work on my skin tones - but I think she's pretty cute!

Recipe:
* Image - "Summer Marci" from La-La Land Stamps
* I used my Copic Markers to color Marci
* The "sand" is a piece of Kraft paper inked up with brown ink
* I used my 3/4 inch circle punch to create a sun from yellow cardstock. I inked up the edges with orange ink and sprinkled on some Martha Stewart coarse glitter.

* I added Glossy Accents to the shades
* The polka dots on her bows are made with an Atyou Spica glitter pen
* I added a few gems to her flip flops and ears for earrings.

As always, I thank you so much for stopping in for a visit!  I always look forward to your visits and sweet comments -they make my day!  I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and I'll try to keep you posted about our newest little grand daughter, Miss Hannah Elizabeth.

Follow your dreams....

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday to you!
Today is Design Team Day over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and I've got a sweet card to share with you.  It's graduation time again and I have several seniors I want to make cards for this year.  Lisa's new Graduates Cutting Files is just what I needed to get me started....

Recipe:
* I created my card base using the Layered Labels 2 Cutting Files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  I duplicated the bottom layer and welded the two shapes together to form a card base.
* The cute little graduate is from the Graduates Cutting Files.  I used a Peachy Keen Stamp (PKSC-01) for her sweet face.

* I did not have ribbon in the shade I needed for my card, so I used a Copic Marker to color some white seam binding and there you go....custom made ribbon!
* The sentiment is from the "Follow Your Dreams" stamp set by My Creative Time

* For finishing touches, I added a few white stitching lines, a pretty white felt flower and a necklace made of adhesive pearls. I also added Glossy Accents to her eyes for a bit of shine.

I have a few more cards I need to put together for graduation and plan on using more of these cute images.....

Aren't they just cute as can be?

It's your day....

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
Hope your week is going well for you.  Mine seems to be flying by and my "to-do" list seems to be growing right before my very eyes!  I'm trying to get things crossed off that list before our newest addition to the family makes her arrival.  She is due on June 1st, but it's looking like she may joining us a bit sooner.  Her Mommy goes back to the doctor today so, we'll see!

So, with a new baby on the way, I may disappear from the blogging world for a bit, but hopefully not for long.  If you don't see posts or get visits from me for a few days...get ready for LOTS of baby pictures!  In the meantime, I was able to put together a fun card to share with you today.  I've been itching to color this cute little froggie girl from Peachy Keen Stamps.....

Recipe:
* This darling little Peachy Frog is Female Floatin' Frog (PK-206). The fun sentiment is included in this set. There is also a Male version available in the Peachy Store,Fishin' Frog (PK-207)

* My card base was created using the Center Panel Step Card cutting files from Lisa over at the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons online store.

* The palm trees and starfish are from the Silhouette Online Store.
* My sky background was created with my Copic Airbrush and a few cloud stencils that I cut out from Kraft paper.
* I colored my little frog with my Copic Markers and added a bit of Stickles around the top of her glass for a "salt" look.  I also added Glossy Accents to the rest of the glass and to her eyes.
Ok, guess that about wraps it up for today. I need to get busy and get a few more things marked off that stinkin' "to-do" list!  I'll try to keep you posted about the baby as I can.  I know I will be able to post easily on my Facebook Page if I'm away from home - here's the LINK if you would like to follow my page!  Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll be seeing you soon....

I LOVE the adorable little babies from this month's stamps!
This little guy and the sweet sentiment is from the Hey Baby (PK-208) set.

I used the "Stitched Capture Frame" die from My Creative Time for the cute Polaroid picture frame and a Spellbinders Die for my sentiment mat.
I added a white pom pom to the top of his cap and used Liquid Pearls to create buttons for his cute little romper.  And, a big yellow bow finished up this sweet baby card.

Peachy Baby Gift

Hello and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
Today is my turn to post on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and I can't wait to share my sweet project with you!  I used the adorable new stamp set Hey Baby (PK-208) for this fun gift set.....

Recipe:
* I started with an empty Starbucks Frappuccino carton and covered it with some sweet cardstock in pretty purples and greens.
* I cut strips of purple, white and green tulle and tied them around the handle of the carton.
* I also wrapped a purple strip of tulle around the center of the carton, tying the bow off to one side.

* The mat for my little sweetie is from the Layered Labels 2 Cutting Files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.
* I stamped the baby onto the white layer and colored her with my Copic markers. Her cute little romper and headband are paper pieced.  And, I added a couple of adhesive pearls for buttons.

* I added a sweet sentiment (also from PK-208) to the handle of my carton.
* To finish up my baby gift, I filled the carton with sweet-smelling baby wash, lotion, oil and a couple of washcloths.  And there you go, the perfect gift for any new Mommy!

* I decorated the handle with some Crinkle ribbon and a button.
* The sentiment is from the "Coffee Cozies" stamp set by Lil' Inker Designs and is stamped onto a banner I cut using the Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons

* The front of my bag is decorated with the coffee cup from the Java Great Day Cutting Files.  I embossed the cup with the "Baby's Breath" embossing folder by Cuttlebug.
* Next, I added Glossy Accents to the "coffee" and some glitter to the "smoke"
