Crazy 4 Challenges

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Wow, I can't believe that this is the last Saturday of this month.  November has flown right by and today is my last project as the Guest Designer with the ladies of Crazy 4 Challenges.  In honor of Square Dancing Day, this week's challenge is all about Squares......

For this card I started with a 5 by 5 inch square card base.  I used a square Spellbinders die to create a window frame for my stamped image.
I love this image from Tim Holtz - it is from the stamp set "Christmas Blueprint". I colored the image with Copic Markers then covered it with a layer of Crackle Accents. I really love the results!

Isn't that fun?!

I stamped and colored a couple of holly leaves using an image from Hero Arts.  After coloring, I spritzed a bit of Gold Color Shine by Hedi Swapp onto the leaves. I also added some Glossy Accents to the berries.  The gold trim is actually crochet thread that I picked up at Hobby Lobby, I love the tiny gold sequins ♥

And there you go!  I hope you head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog and check out the projects created by the Design Team - they are amazing!  I want to thank Frances again for letting me play along with these wonderfully talented ladies this month. I've had a wonderful time!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend and I'll see you soon...

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for stopping by today - I've got a fast and easy Thanksgiving treat to share with you. I needed "a little something" for a few special people in my life. I had some yummy, fall scented liquid soaps on hand, so I pulled out some great stamps from Jaded Blossom and got busy.....

I tweaked a bottle tag purchased from the Silhouette Online Store to fit my soap bottles.  I cut the tags from Kraft paper and inked up the edges in a rich chocolate brown.

I inked up the beautiful leaves from the Autumn Leaves stamp set, mixing my ink colors on the stamp.  After stamping the leaves, I gave each tag a spritz of "Gold Color Shine" made by Hedi Swapp.....messy...but so much fun and so much gorgeous shine!

I used the JB Mini Tag Dies 2 die set to create a banner for my sentiment. The sentiment is from the JB stamp set, Let's Talk Turkey.  As a final touch, I added a strip of gold, glittery ribbon around the top of each bottle.

And, of course, I had to package them up!  I had the perfect sized cellophane bags on hand so I just added a bit of brown crinkle paper and tied them up with some burgundy twine.

Okay, that about does it for me today. Before I go, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Enjoy some time with those you love and remember to count your blessings!

Raccoon Love

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!
So, how was your Monday?  Mine was full-speed ahead! I am trying to get a jump on Christmas preparations but...whew...still so much to do!

Anyway, I have some super fun cards to share with you today. These were made with the adorable raccoon2love stamp set and new Raccoon Dies by The Stamps of Life....

I used the Square Stand-Ups Die to create my card base for this first card.

This card base was created with the Square Flip-Its Die.

I love the patterned paper I used on this card! The colors are great and I love the cute little raccoons in the background.

Well, I guess it's back to work for me. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I always appreciate your visits and sweet comments ♥

Owl I want for Christmas is you.

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I guess today's blog post title is a bit misleading....cause my Christmas list is actually pretty long!  But, for today's post, we're going to go with it!

I found a bit of time to play along with the new challenge over at the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog, Lawnscaping Challenge NO. 94 - Count Me In....

I started with one of my favorite Lawn Fawn Dies, the Goodie Bag Die.  My bag was cut from this adorable polka dot kraft paper and was super easy to put together.

The sweet little owl and sentiment are from the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Winter Owl.  I colored up that sweet little guy with my Copic markers and paper pieced his scarf.

I placed my owl on a branch from the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Feathered Friends and I added an ornament from the Joy to the Woods stamp set.

My numbers were cut from the Lawn Fawn die set, Quinn's 123s.  I cut out each number 3 times, adhered them together and covered them with 2 coats of Glossy Accents - I love the shine!

Okay, that about wraps it up for today.
I'm off to link up my project over at the Lawnscaping Challenges Blog:

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon...

It's Saturday and time for another fun challenge with the ladies of Crazy 4 Challenges.  I'm playing along this month as Guest Designer and here is my card for this week's challenge, "Hello"....

For my card, I used the Hello Word Die from The Stamps of Life.  I also used the fun telephone from the phone4you stamp set.

I added a bit of Wink Of Stella Glitter to the word Hello and a black enamel dot to the phone to finish up this card.

Be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to see what those talented ladies have created to inspire you for this week's challenge.  I hope to see your HELLO project linked up with us this week!  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you soon.....

HELLO

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's finally Friday...yay!  What sort of plans do you have for the weekend? I'm hoping to get in some play time in my Studio and maybe even pull out a few Christmas decorations. I'm most looking forward to staying in my pajamas and NOT leaving the house!

I've got a quick, happy card to share with you today.  One layer cards are always soooo hard for me, but I had fun with this one.....

I spritzed my card stock with some fun ink sprays and let a few of them run so that they look more like paint splatters. Next I used the  brushstrokes2stamp stamp set from The Stamps of Life for the fun yellow brushstroke and great sentiment.

For the finishing touches, I used a black gel pen for a few squiggly lines around the card and added a hot pink ribbon to the top - and done!

Well, today's post was kinda short and sweet, but it's going to be a busy day around here so I better get to it! I hope you have a wonderful weekend - see you soon....

More Circle Flip-its!

Hello, hello, hello!
I hope you are having a wonderful day.  It finally turned COLD here in southeast Alabama and I've been hibernating in my Studio in sweats, a sweater, warm socks, heat cranked up and Christmas music playing!  It's almost 4 pm here and the temp is 43degrees and it is supposed to get into the 20s tonight -that is cold, cold, cold for us southern folks!

So, if my frozen fingers will work with me, I have two more cute cards created with the Sizzix Large Circle Flip-its Die Set from The Stamps of Life....

The stamped images for this card are from the birthday4cookie stamp set.

And, here is the inside of my card.

The balloon on this card is from the hot4balloons stamp set.

And, the inside.

Okay, I'm off to crank the heat up a notch!
Stay warm and I'll see ya soon.....

You blow me away!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Can you believe that it's Monday....again!  My weekend sure did pass by in a flash. Anyway, I'm happy that you stopped by today because I have a fun card to share with you.  My very talented friend, Stephanie, from The Stamps of Life has created another fun Flip-its Card Die for Sizzix and I love the larger circle on this one....

This Flip-its is called Sizzix Large Circle Flip-its.  It comes with 21 dies including the fabulous card base and layers.

I used the fun bublegum4me stamp set on this bright, happy card.

I left the back circle blank for a special birthday message.

Okay, that's about it for today.  You can check out all the amazing Flip-its card dies created by Stephanie by clicking HERE.  Be prepared...there are sooo many cute styles and shapes!

Have a great Monday, and I'll see you soon.....

Spending the holidays with you.....

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.
This month I am the Guest Designer over at Crazy 4 Challenges and it's time to share a brand new challenge with you.  This week the ladies have a sketch challenge for you to play along with. Following the sketch, I created a Christmas card to add to my stash....

I used the following products to create this card:
* My Mind's Eye paper stack "Merry"
* Lawn Fawn - Stitched Rectangle Dies
* My Creative Time - Bunch of Fun Circle Dies

The mittens are colored with Copic Markers and I added a bit of glitter with an Atyou Spica Glitter pen.  I used pop dots behind the largest circle to create a bit of dimension to my card.

I plan on linking up my card on the Unity Stamps - Friends With Flair post.

I hope you will stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to see what the Designers have created for your inspiration - those ladies are crazy talented!  Here's a photo of the sketch, I hope you can join along with this week's challenge....

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you soon...

brushstrokes2stamp

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Wow - I cannot believe that it's Thursday already! This week has just flown by and the weekend is getting closer and closer.  We are supposed to have a major change in the weather with the temperatures dropping into the low 60's this weekend. That's getting cold for us here in the southeast and I'm looking forward to dragging out my sweaters and warms socks!

Today I have a couple of fun cards made with the new stamp set, brushstrokes2stamp and the coordinating dies, Brush Stroke Dies from The Stamps of Life.....

Aren't these stamps fun?

For this card, I stamped my images on white cardstock and used the dies to create the "frames" in the polka dot paper.  I layered the two together, added some twine and a button, and there you go!

This card was super easy to put together - just some bright, happy patterned paper, one stamp and the fabulous coordinating die.  I added a few enamel dots and it's all done!  You gotta love a card that is both a snap to put together and super cute!

Okay, that's it for me today!
I'm off to find some warm socks and get another cup of coffee (hey, it's cold for us southern folks)! Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon.....

Christmas Wishes

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope your week is off to a great start. I'm up and running here - so much to mark off of that "to-do" list and so little time to get it done! Wow, didn't November just get here? And, here it is the 11th already....yikes!  Ok....on with today's card and back to that ever-growing list of mine....

At first I wasn't sure about so much black on a Christmas card, but I really like the way it turned out. I think the black adds a touch of elegance.

The printed papers are from the 6X6 paper stack "Christmas" by My Mind's Eye.  And that lovely ornament is from the Sizzix Triplits Die Set - Ornaments from The Stamps of Life.

Okay, that's it for me today.  Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon....

Tic Tac Toe

Hello and happy Monday to you!
Thanks so much for stopping by today - I've got a couple of fun projects to share with you today that I created with the new tictactoe2play stamp set and coordinating die set by The Stamps of Life.  First up is this fun game board I made using a chalkboard....

I started with this chalkboard that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.  Using the tictactoe2play dies, I cut out the game pieces twice, once from cardstock and once from Felt available at The Stamps of Life. I adhered the layers together and added Velcro-dots to the back of each piece and to the chalkboard.

Game on.....

I stamped the Tic*Tac*Toe sentiment in black ink and cut it out using the coordinating die.
Score can be kept on the back of chalkboard using a piece of chalk!

I also put together this sweet card with the fun dies included in this set....

Additional products from The Stamps of Life...

Okay, that's it for me today. Be sure to stop by the The Stamps of Life Gallery to see all the fabulous projects created by the Design Team.  We would love for you to share your projects there as well!

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon...
