You're The Sweetest!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.

I hope your weekend is going well for you.  It's been a busy one around here, but I managed to sneak into my studio for a little coloring time this afternoon! I've been working on Valentine's Day cards and really enjoyed working on this one...

These sweeties are from the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Sweet Friends.

I colored my images with Copic Markers and added a touch of  sparkle with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you soon!

My Life Would Suck Without You!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

I am so behind on my blog posts and blog visits.  I'm hoping to make a few visits tonight and tomorrow and see what everyone has been up to. In the meantime, I've got a simple (but cute) card to share with you. This is from Day 2 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge....

This fun stamp set from Sunny Studio is called "That Sucks" and I think it's super cute.

I inked up my background with Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries Distress Ink. The vacuum cleaner is colored with Copic Markers and I added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the bottom "metal" portion for some sparkle.

The little hearts were die cut and inked up with Distress Ink. I also added some Glossy Accents to make them pop out against the card background.

Thanks again for your visit, see you soon!

Furever Friends

Hello and happy Friday to you!
I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  I have a pretty busy weekend planned but wanted to share something I've been working on before I get moving.

I have been "lurking" on the Kit and Clowder blog and Facebook page for a very long time.  Thoughts of signing up for one of her coloring classes always got put aside because of the time factor. Well, I finally decided it was now or never, bit the bullet and signed up for the monthly pencil class.  I've had a set of Prismacolor colored pencils for several months and just never worked up the courage to give them a try.  After taking one of Alyce's class, I fell in love with these pencils and am currently taking class number two.  Let me show what I made during my first class...

I know there are flaws but I was so pleased with the way this little guy turned out!

I also love the texture you can achieve with colored pencils.  He's so fuzzy!

This is one of my progress pictures.  I just can't say enough about these classes.  You can print out a booklet with step by step instructions and photos and watch a very detailed video.  She also teaches a Copic class and I think she is planning on a watercolor class in the near future.

If you're looking to try something a little out of your comfort zone or just want to improve your skills, check out Kit and Clowder.  She also offers a few free classes which makes it easier to decide if you would like to invest in a monthly class subscription.

Okay, now I've got to get off this computer and get busy!
Have a great weekend and I'll see you soon.

Smile

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

It's time for another 30 Day Coloring Challenge with the fabulous Kathy at The Daily Marker.  I try to play along as much as I can on each challenge.  Some days I make and some days not, but that's okay. This challenge is all about making some "me time" to do a little coloring each day and everyone who participates is so encouraging and inspiring - especially Kathy.  If you're not familiar with this challenge, stop by her blog for all the details.  If you are on Instagram, use the hashtag #thedailymaker30day and you will find so much gorgeous coloring. I could spend hours (and sometimes do) just looking at all the wonderful projects.

Anyway, yesterday was the first day of the challenge and I managed to complete an entire card...

My background was created with Distress Ink and I used the Smile die from My Favorite Things to cut out the sentiment from my card base.  I also cut out the sentiment twice from purple cardstock and layered the letters together.  Then, I glued them back into the die cut area on my card base. I love this look.

The sweet Teddy and bird are from the MFT stamps "Friends Furever" stamp set.  I colored the images with my Copic markers and used some foam tape to pop them up on my card base.

I added a few sequins to finish up this sweet card.

Thanks again for dropping by today.
I always look forward to your visits and sweet comments!

Bugs & Kisses!

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for stopping by today!

I've been working on a few Valentine's Day cards and treats and I have a cutie to share with you today. I pulled out several Lawn Fawn stamps and dies to put this one together:

Here's a list of the Lawn Fawn products I used for my card:
*Scalloped Rectangle Stackables
*Lacy Borders die set
*How You Bean? stamp set
*How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-On stamp set
*Bugs and Kisses stamp set

I colored the images with Copic Markers and added a bit of shimmer with a clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker.

I'm going to link up my card with the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #20 - Fun With Food.  Because we all know Valentine's candy is some of the best around, right?!

Thanks again for visiting!
