EMMA

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday to you!
I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  I plan on working on a few projects for the upcoming release of the newest Peachy Keen Stamps and my first Design Team project for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  So, I guess it will be a busy weekend for me. But, that's a good kinda busy!

Speaking of busy...the last couple of days have been busy ones around my house. That's because my sweet Emma spent some time with me and we stayed busy!  We went on the search for items to use in our VBS program this year, we went shopping, we went to the movies, we crafted, we ate too much junk food and we stayed up to late -it was awesome!

I bought some large, heavy chipboard letters for Emma's name months ago.  They have been sitting on a shelf in my craft corner for a long time just getting dusty, waiting for us to have enough time to decorate them.  Well, this time we managed to get them finished, and just look what a great job my sweet little crafter did....

Here's how she did it...

* Emma painted the edges of each letter in a pretty purple paint, then selected some cute princess papers to cover each letter.
* She had me trace and cut out each letter for her (it's easier to sub out some of the work).  Then Emma painted on some Mod Podge (as she giggled about the name of Mod Podge) onto each letter with a foam brush.
* We placed the patterned paper onto the letter and Emma used a brayer to make sure it was glued down well and to get out all of the air bubbles. Then, some of us went off to play Barbies while waiting for the glue to dry.
* After everything was dry, I used a large staple gun to create a hanger from pink tulle for each letter.  Then it was time for the fun part!  Emma and I spent some time at the Silhouette Online Store choosing images for her letters.....

* Emma choose the cute little unicorn for the letter E.  She added some hot pink glitter to his mane and tail and some gold Stickles on his horn.
* We found a pretty princess to add to the letter M.  Emma decided on silver glitter for her crown and added lots of clear gems to her dress and shoes - she also made a bracelet for her princess!

* The next M got a fun silver crown. Emma added lots of pink, purple and gold glitter to the jewels.
* The letter A got a pretty, magical wand.  We used some fun "tinsel glitter" on this one. I wish you see how it really sparkles - the photo doesn't do it justice!

And there you go - I'm sure happy that Emma's name is Emma - 4 letters took us several hours to finish!  But of course, we took several breaks for food, shopping, movies and such!  I had a great time crafting with my sweet granddaughter and I know these are going to look so pretty in her room!  Ok, Emma...be thinking about what you want to make next time!
Thanks for stopping by today and letting Emma share her project with you!  Have a great weekend and I'll be seeing you soon....
Until next time,

'hive' been thinking about you...

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
Thanks for stopping by today - I'm so happy you're here because I have a sweet card and some fun news that I can hardly wait to share with you.  Let's see....card or news first...hmmm.....Let's go with the card...

Recipe:
* I used the fun cutting file "Honeycomb Shapes" from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons to create the cute Honeycomb card base.
* Next, I used the "Honey Bees" cutting file from PPPR for the little bee hive hanging from the tree limb.

* The fun sentiment is from the Stamps of Life and I think it is just perfect for this card!
* I stamped my sentiment onto a banner cut from the Sentiments Spots 1 cutting file, also from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

Ok, now that you've seen my sweet card -ready for some fun news?  Lisa, from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons recently put out a call for Design Team Members.  And, I'm happy to say that I am now part of the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Design Team!  I'm really excited to be working with Lisa and her fabulous team.  Lisa's cutting files are oh so cute and layer together perfectly. She also has some beautiful digital paper and digital clip art. If you aren't familiar with Lisa's work, you really need to stop by her store and take a look around!

Ok, that's about it for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share my "happy news" with you! Keep an eye out for my first post at PPPR on April 10th!

Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon!

Skipping by to say hi!

Hello everyone and happy Monday to you!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Our weather was really beautiful this weekend, but turned off a bit cooler today.  It is really gorgeous outside, just a little too windy and cool for me. But, those sunny skies are a wonderful reminder that warmer temps on are on the way.

Have you seen this week's challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps?  This week's challenge is a Sketch Challenge and it's such a fun sketch!  Here's my card for the challenge...

Recipe:

* Sketch from this week's Peachy Keen Challenge
* I used some pretty purple paper for my background and a couple strips of some fun Washi Tape.  I'm pretty new to Washi tape because I didn't want to add another "addiction" to my ever-growing list.  But, after using it once or twice - that's it - I'm hooked!
* I ran a zig-zag stitch all around my cardstock

* My mat was created with the Spellbinders die "Lattice Rectangles"
* My cutie pie little girl and fun sentiment are from the Peachy Keen Stamp Recess Jump Rope Girl (PK-125).  I colored her with my Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress.
* I added a bit of twine and a felt flower to finish up this happy little card.

Be sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog to see what the other Design Team members have put together to inspire you for this week's challenge.  While you are there, check out the sketch, the rules, and then go get busy and enter our fun challenge!  I hope to see your card linked up with us this week!

Until next time,

U Are Fabulous

Hi there!
It's really late, or really early (depending on how you look at it) and I should be in bed!  But, I just finished up another card for my friend Sherry and wanted to share it with you.  Sherry is collecting cards for the Arkansas Children's Hospital in honor of her daughter, Macy.  If you would like to send a card to Sherry, please read more on this post.

For this card, I used a fun cut file created by Lisa at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons .....

Can you tell I'm ready for warmer weather?

Recipe:
* The fun beach ball card base and adorable little girl are from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  The file is called "Little Swimmers"
* The sentiment is from the Pink By Design stamp set "Bracketful"

* I made a cute little pinwheel for my sentiment using a paper punch by Fiskars

I hope this little cutie puts a smile on the face of a little one during their hospital stay!
Now, I'm off to bed before I fall asleep at my computer!

Until next time,

Emma's Easter Card

Hello everyone!  Yay...it's Friday!
Got big plans for the weekend?  Nothing major planned here -  hoping to get in a bit more yard work and, of course, some time in my Craft Corner.

Today I am sharing the last of the Easter cards I've made for my grands.  Next year I will have one more to make - our newest little girl is due in June!  This card is for Emma, our very first grandchild......

*Recipe:
* I distressed and inked up the edges of my pretty background papers
* The white doily is from the Silhouette Online Store (Doily Border Frame Oval)
*  The sweet bunny is from Peachy Keen Stamps - Easter Baby Bunny PK-193
* I colored the bunny with my Copic Markers and added a few Stickles to the eggs

* The flower is from Prima
* Sentiment is from Peachy Keen Stamps - Easter Baby Bunny PK-193
* I didn't have any ribbon in a color that matched - so remembering a little tip from the Copic's Class I took back in February, I took some white seam tape and colored it the PERFECT color using a Copic marker....worked beautifully!

And that wraps up Easter cards for the grands!
Thanks so much for stopping by today - I hope you have a wonderfully creative weekend!

Until next time,

Easter Card For Blake

Hi there and happy First Day of Spring to you!
We have been having some beautiful spring like weather here and the plants and flowers in my yard are beginning to bloom. I just love this time of year!
Speaking of spring, Easter is just around the corner and I have another sweet Easter card to share with you.  Today's card is for my oldest grandson, Blake....
Recipe:
* This cute little bunny is from the Silhouette Online Store.  The file is called "Randy the Rabbit".  I used the Offset Feature to create a card base so that I could make a shaped card.
* His sweet little face is from the Peachy Keen Stamps "Baby Easter Bunny" set PK-193.  I inked up just the face features on the baby bunny, stamped them onto Randy's face and colored them with my Copic markers.

* I used pop dots to adhere Randy to the card base and finished off my card with some stitching lines from my white gel pen.

Another Easter Card finished!
Thanks so much for stopping by today - I hope you have a wonderful First Day of Spring!

Until next time,

Easter Card for Brayden

Hello everyone!
I hope you are all having a great Monday.  It's been a good one here. I had a late breakfast with my  hubby, then stopped to buy a few flowers for my yard.  I forced myself to spend a couple of hours cleaning the house then the afternoon was spent in my Craft Corner...it's been a good day!

I can't believe that Easter is almost here, and I'm trying to get Easter projects finished up.  This one is for my sweet little grandson, Brayden....

Recipe:
* This cute little card is from the Silhouette Online Store
* I gave the chick a darling little face using the Peachy Keen Stamps "Critter Faces Set A- Large" PK-755
* His sweet bow is from Trendy Twine

* The sweet sentiment if from the "Baby Easter Bunny" set (PK-193) by Peachy Keen Stamps.

And, I guess that's about it for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by today - wish me luck getting all my new plants in the ground tomorrow!

100% Princess

Hello everyone - thanks for stopping by my little corner of bloggy land!
I hope you weekend is going well for you.  Mine is going by too quickly.  I managed to get a bit of yard work accomplished - I think my sweet friend, Kim is right - my Cleaning Fairy must have run away with the Yard Work Fairy!  Haven't seen either of them in ages.....sigh....

After the yard work was completed (well...as much as I was gonna do)...I managed to squeeze in some crafting time.  A sweet blogging friend of mine is collecting cards for some very special people and I thought I would put together a card or two to send her.  Some of you may already know Sherry of Macybella Designs.  If not, I encourage you to drop by her Facebook page for a visit. A few years ago, Sherry lost her sweet daughter, Macy, in a fire that destroyed their home.  Last year Sherry started a card drive for the Arkansas Children's Hospital in memory of her Macy.  She is collecting cards and items to put into "care packages" for families in need.  Here's what Sherry has to say on her Facebook page:

It's time for the 2nd Annual Cards for Kids for Arkansas Children's Hospital in memory of my daughter, Macy. You can help by either making handmade cards (will take storebought as well) and sending them to me, donating goods (their wishlist is attached), or donating financially and we will shop and/or make a financial donation as one. Last year we donated over 100 cards, plus 20 necessity packs for the burn unit, and clothes and toys for the hospital.

Important note about cards:
The CAN include stickers, stickles, glitter, etc.
They can have a generic sentiment stamped inside or be left blank.
Cards do need to include an envelope.
They CANNOT include messages of faith or the phrase 'Get Well Soon'.
Cards can be created for the kids in the hospital (and adults!) or for the kids to give to a family member or friend.

If you would like to send a card (or several) or make a donation, you can contact me by email (use the "Contact Corner tab at the top of my blog) and I will get an address to you.  Or, you can contact Sherry at her Facebook Page by clicking here.  I know that Sherry would appreciate your help so much!  Here's a sweet little card I made to send to Sherry....
Recipe:
* "Princess Anya" from The Greeting Farm Stamps
* I colored her with my Copic markers and added some silver glitter to her crown and wand for a bit of sparkle because what princess doesn't love glitter?
* The little flag  is a die from "Lil' Inker Designs"
* The fun sentiment is from "Jaded Blossoms" 100% Princess Stamp Set

I hope this sweet card puts a smile on a special little girl's face!
Sherry will need all cards and donations by April 15th - so let me know if you would like her mailing address and I'll get it to you right away!

Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Until next time,

Hoppy Easter!

Hello everyone and Happy Friday!
Got big plans for the weekend?  I'm hoping our pretty weather holds out and I can get in my yard and start some spring clean up.  And, of course, sneak in some play time in my Craft Corner!  If you need a challenge to play along with this weekend, we have a great one going on over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.  This is my favorite type challenge:  "Anything Goes".  Just remember that you need to use a Peachy Keen Stamp somewhere on your project.  Here's my entry for this week....

Recipe:
* My little treat bags are from the Silhouette Online Store (3D Bunny Purse Box).  I cut them from some sweet polka dot paper.  The outline of the bunny face was cut in white cardstock. Then, I covered them in Glossy Accents and sprinkled on some coarse, crystal glitter.
* I used a paper punch for a bit of grass along the bottom. Then colored those fun little Easter Eggs (PK-191) with my Copic Markers and added some clear Stickles.

* I added a sweet sentiment from the Peachy Keen Stamps Set PK-193 and that fun little flower from PKSC-15 to the top flap of my box.
* A bit of bright, happy ribbon for the handle and it's all done!

Ok, before I head out to start my yard work, I promised to chose the winner of my little give-away today, didn't I?  Ok...so choosing a random number...the winner is......

Spring

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by today!
It's my turn to post over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and I thought I would share with you here also. I had so much fun working on this one......

Recipe:
* I started with a 7 Gypsies Shadowbox.  This one is about 6.5 X 7 inches
* That adorable little duck is from Peachy Keen Stamps - this is a metal die cut that includes his body, a cute little egg and 4 face stamps.  This die is called Duck with Egg (4X4)
* The sweet hat is from another die called Duck Accessories (4X6).  This die includes the hat, an umbrella, flower and float - it's very, very cute!
* I used a paper punch for the daises around her hat and added a bit of pink bling!

* The banner, sign and grass are all from files I purchased at the Silhouette Online Store.
* The word SPRING is from the Peachy Keen Stamp set Spring Loaded (PK-165)

* The tulips are a cut file from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I gave them some cute PK faces using the Everyday Character Assortment stamp set (PK-490).
* I used lots of pop-dots to add a bit of dimension to all the images!

This little project went together pretty quickly and brings such a nice touch of spring into my family room!  I love the size of these smaller shadowboxes - they are wonderful for a touch of seasonal decor without taking up a lot of space.

Well, that's about it for me today.  If you haven't left a comment on my "give-away" post, you still have time!  You can find that post here.  I will be announcing the winner on Friday and I hope to see you then!

Until next time,

Recipe:
* My Bag Toppers were created with Spellbinders "Grand Labels Eleven"
* I embossed the solid colored mats with various embossing folders - I added ribbon to this layer for the girls and ric - rac for the boys

* The Peeps are a stamp from Close To My Heart "My Peeps" - I colored them with my Copic markers, cut them out and added them to the mat
* The sentiment tags are hand cut and stamped with cute Easter sentiments from the Peachy Keen Stamp Set Baby Easter Bunny (PK-193)
* I added a flower for the girls and a pinwheel for the boys

Easter Blessings!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
How's your weekend going?   Mine is great - so far.  I've been playing in my Craft Corner for most the day, working on some Easter goodies for the Grands.

My last post was about the "Photo Inspiration Challenge" going on over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.  Have you played along with us yet?  I hope you can find time to join us, the colors for this challenge are just beautiful.  If you missed my card for this one, you can see it here.

We also have a couple of fun challenges going on over at The Peachy Keen Connection.  These challenges are to help celebrate the March Release!  These are fun challenges and there are two $25.00 Gift Certificates up for grabs - but you've got to hurry because both challenges end Sunday, March 10th at midnight!  If you missed my card for the embossing challenge, you can see it here.

The second challenge is a "Background" challenge hosted by Design Team Member Nikki.  For this challenge you need to create your own background or use a background stamp.  I used one of the beautiful new background stamps from this month's release to create the background of my card for Nikki's challenge....

Recipe:
* I created a 5 X 6 inch card using white cardstock
* Using Distress Ink in "Worn Lipstick", I stamped this gorgeous background stamp onto some pink cardstock.  The name of this new release is "Grandma's Bathroom Floor" !  Guess I turned it into "Grandma's Wallpaper"!
* Anyway, I glued the "wallpaper to the top portion of my card.  Next, I cut a smaller piece of white cardstock and scored a line every quarter inch creating a "beadboard" look.

* My next step was to cut small strips from my white cardstock, emboss them and use them for crown moulding, baseboards and a chair rail.  I used a folder called "Scallops and Lines" from Sizzix.
* Once my background was completed, it was time to add some Peachy Cuteness!  This sweet little bunny is from the new March Stamp Set PKSC-15.  This is just the sweetest stamp set ever!
* I paper pieced that darling little bunny, coloring her face and tulip with my Copic markers.
* I colored the Easter basket and added a big, fluffy bow made from crinkle ribbon.

*Grandma's wall needed a bit of artwork, so I stamped the sentiment "Easter Blessings" (also from PKSC-15) onto some paper that had sort of a vintage feel to it.
* My  "frame" was created from a file I purchased at the Silhouette Online Store.  I cut it out from white cardstock 3 times. I glued the layers together and colored them gold using a Copic marker.  When the marker was dry, I spritzed my frame with Perfect Pearls Mist in "Heirloom Gold".  I think it all came together to make a Grandma-worthy antique frame!

This is one of those cards that came together bit by bit.  I really had no plan other than creating a background of some sort.  As I started working on it, things just seemed to fall into place and I'm really happy with the final outcome....some days you just never know!

Well, I guess I've about talked on and on long enough here!  I hope you can squeeze in some time to join at least one of the challenges we have going on right now...would love to see you enter all 3!  Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your weekend and I'll be seeing you soon!

Until next time,

Ok, let's get moving here!  Since my I am so far behind (so very, very far behind) on my scrapbooking, I thought I would work on a layout for today's hop.  I used the adorable "Birthday Party Kids" file from KaDoodle Bug Designs....

These photos were taken 2 years ago at Blake's (my sweet grandson) birthday party.

Recipe for page 1:
* I used the darling "Birthday Party Kids" file from KaDoodle Bug Designs
* After cutting out and putting together the cute little birthday boy, I gave him some Peachy Cuteness using the "Wide Eyed Kids Assortment" (PK-450) stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps.
* I used the Peachy Keen Stamp Set "Lucy's ABC,s and 123's" (PK-156) to stamp the letters for Blake's name and the number 2 on his balloon.

* I added some orange Stickles to his birthday hat and paper punched a bright yellow star for the front of his shirt.
* The fun birthday cake got some fun embossing and a bit of Stickles for the candle flames.
* I also pulled out several embossing folders and embossed all the birthday presents.

Recipe for page 2:
* The cute little guy on the scooter is also from the "Birthday Party Kids" file.  Isn't  he a cutie pie?
* The fun little faces on the balloons are from the Peachy Keen Stamp set "Critter Faces" (PK-755)
I just love those adorable little critter faces!

* I added some fun, silver brads to the wheels of the scooter.
* The balloons are all tied off with a bit of twine from Trendy Twine.

And, there you go!  Another birthday scrapped!  With grandbaby number 4 on the way, I may never get caught up with the scrapping, but that's ok.  I always enjoy going back, looking over old photos and reliving the memories.

Easter Blessings

Hello and thanks for stopping by!
Well, the party may be over at Peachy Keen Stamps, but the sale is just getting started!  The Release party was wonderful - filled with fun, games and some amazing inspiration by the Design Team.  After the party, Kathy posted the entire March, 2013 Release and threw in some awesome SALE prices!  You can see the Release and all the details about the sale here.

You also have time to play along with a couple of fun challenges that will be going on until Sunday, March 10th at midnight.  The first challenge is hosted by our very own Jeanne Streiff, and Jeanne's challenge is all about embossing!  Click here to read all the details about this challenge and to see the wonderful inspiration created by the Design Team.

The second challenge is hosted by Design Team Member, Nikki Foraker.  Nikki's challenge for you is all about backgrounds. You can read all about this fun challenge and be inspired by the Design Team by clicking here,

Earlier today I posted pictures of my newest crafting toy - my Copic Air Brush System.  I haven't played with it very much, but so far....I am loving it!  I played around with a few stencils a bit then decided it was time to actually "make something" with this new toy!  So, while I was working on my card for Jeanne's challenge I thought I would give it a go....

Recipe:
* I started with the picket fence that I purchased from the Silhouette Online Store.  I used the "Offset" feature to create my card base from the blue cardstock.  Next, I cut out the fence 2 times.
* I glued the fence layers together and embossed them with a woodgrain embossing folder.  I inked up the embossed areas with a light gray ink.
* Before adding my fence to the card base, I fringed the top of my green paper for some grass to put behind the fence. Now comes the fun part....

*Using the new Peachy Keen Stamps set PKSC-15, I stamped these cute little eggs and fun faces.
* I got out my new toy and had a blast air brushing these little cuties!  Talk about fun!  Oh my gosh, I had them completely covered in seconds and I love the shading!  I used a lighter shade of Copic Marker for the top portion of each egg and a slightly darker color for the lower portion.
* I paper pieced the bows and added them to the eggs, used my white gel pen for the eyes and added some rosy cheeks.
* Next, I used some pop dots to position my eggs in front of the fence. I cut a few little tuffs of grass (from the SOS) and popped them up in front of the eggs.

* The "Easter Blessings" sign is also air brushed and matted onto pink cardstock cut with the Spellbinders die, "Beaded Ovals".
* Those darling little butterflies are also from the new March Release (PKSC-15). I colored them with my Copics, cut them out and glued them into place.  I thought they needed a bit of sparkle, so I used a Atyou pen in "Clear" which added just the right amount of sparkle.

Well, it's been a long day of cleaning my house, crafting when I could sneak in a few minutes and partying with the peaches!  So, I think I'm going to call it a day for now.  I hope you will join one or both of our fun challenges this week - I always enjoy seeing what you have created!  See you soon...

Until next time,

Peachy Keen Stamps Release Party!

Hi guys! How's everyone doing today?  I'm working like crazy trying to get things in order around this house so that I can sit down tonight and enjoy the Peachy Keen Stamps Release Party without feeling guilty...lol!  Of course, if I don't finish, I will still sit down and enjoy the party - ok...ok...that tiny little voice will be whispering in my ear telling me that I didn't finish the laundry or vacuuming. But, that's ok - I 'll just do what I usually do...swat that aggravating little voice outta my ear and into next week - then get back to the party!

So, about the party...did I mention that it's tonight?  Tonight at 6:00 pm (CST) at The Peachy Keen Connection and I so hope you can join us.  The entire March Release will be revealed along with all sorts of inspiration by the Design Team.  There will also be games, challenges and prizes!  After the party, the challenges will be open for everyone to play and the stamps will ready for sale at The Peachy Keen Stamps Store!

While we are waiting for the party (yes...I'm just stalling the house cleaning a bit longer), I have something fun to share with you.  A few weeks ago, I attended a couple of Copic classes that were held in Orlando.  While there, I feel in love with the Copic Air Brush System....what a fun toy!  Well, my sweet hubby talked me into ordering one (he didn't have to talk long) shortly after returning home. I think it's partly because he really is sweet and partly because he was tired of hearing me talk about it...either way works for me!  So, here's a photo of my new toy....

Cool, huh?
It's really small and takes up very little room.  I'm still playing around with it and learning the amount of pressure to use.  My aim isn't quite what it should be just yet, but I'm having fun with the learning process.  I played around with a stencil and different colors just for fun....

Tonight, at the party, I will be sharing a card that I actually used my Air Brush System to create!  I sure hope to see you there....

Until next time,

Is that little bunny the cutest, or what?

Recipe:
* Cute little Easter Egg shaped basket is from the Silhouette Online Store
* The adorable bunny is from the newest Peachy Keen Stamps release - PKSC-15
I colored this little guy with my Copic Markers and added a touch of Stickles in "Frosted Lace" to the eggs in his basket.

* I covered the pink stripes with Glossy Accents and sprinkled on some coarse, crystal glitter for a bit of sparkle.
* The cute little crocheted flower was made by my friend, Tatiana of Created by Tatianna

Here's a look at the side....

* I used some little pink corduroy covered brads to attach the handle to my basket.
* Almost forgot - the sweet sentiment is also in this darling set, along with so many other sentiments just perfect for spring!

And, that's my little sneak for you - I hope you liked this fun little treat basket!  I will have another sneak for you on Monday, March 4th, so be sure to stop in for a visit.  In the meantime, be sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog for all the fun sneaks that will be posted this weekend - you don't want to miss any of them.  Kathy and the Design Team have really outdone themselves this month!
