Have a SUPERSIZED day!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm still hanging in there with the 30 Day Color Challenge hosted by the fabulous Kathy Racoosin of The Daily Marker and I can't believe that it will soon be over. Today's card highlights some fun images that I colored a few days ago as part of this challenge......

These cute images and the sentiment are from the Happy Meal stamp set made by Your Next Stamp.
I colored these yummy images with Copic Markers and added some Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter to the soda and on the fries (it looks like salt).

I used a couple of dies from My Favorite Things to create my card:
* Blueprints 13
* Cross-Stitch Rectangles

I added a few enamel dots in one corner and a heart shaped enamel to the soda bottle to finish up this fun card.  And, now I'm hungry!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today. I always appreciate your visits and sweet comments. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon....

Life Is Good!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I have a fun summery card to share with you....

To create the background for my card I randomly stamped a few flip flops and star fish from the cute Life is Good stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I colored the images with fun, summery colors using my Copic Markers.

After coloring all the flip flops and starfish, I decided my card needed  a "sandy" background. Using my E41 Copic Marker I loosely colored in the background. Next I added a small amount of Copic Colorless Blender to the corner of a paper towel and dabbed it onto the sandy areas.

I also colored the sandcastle and bucket, fussy cut them and popped them up with a bit of foam tape. The sandcastle and starfish got a hit with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker for a bit of sparkle and the sentiment finished up my card.

I will be linking up this fun card with a couple of challenges:

* The Stars and Stripes Challenge at Lawnscaping Challenges

Thanks again for stopping by today - have a great Monday and I'll see you soon....

You're Smokin'

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  It's so bright and sunny here in southeast Alabama...a beautiful day! I plan on getting outside by the pool with a good book in an hour or so. Time to soak up some sun and relax!

Before heading out to the pool, I've got a cute card to share with you....

I used the fun Let's BBQ stamp set from Lawn Fawn for this one.

The images are colored with Copic Markers and I used a Clear Atyou Spica Glitter Pen to add a little sparkle to the "smoke".

I adhered my images to circles cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Dies.
Simple, but kinda cute if I do say so myself ♥

So, that's it for me today - I'm ready to head to the pool.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you soon...

Happy Birthday Panda Style!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you are having a great week. Mine is rolling right along and I'm happy to say that I am still (at this moment) on track with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge created by the fabulous Kathy Racoosin of The Daily Marker.  If you are not familiar with this challenge and need a bit of inspiration to get your creativity flowing each day you should check out Kathy's Blog.

I worked on bits and pieces of this card over a couple of days as part of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. After finishing all of the pieces, this card came together perfectly....

On day 16 of the challenge I watercolored my background with Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Mowed Lawn. After my card was completely dry I stamped on some bamboo from the Happy Pandas stamp set from My Favorite Things. I also stamped out those adorable little Pandas, balloons and birthday banner from the same set. These were colored with Copic Markers.

On day 17 of the challenge I stamped and colored these pretty presents from the Sweet Birthday Wishes stamp set also by My Favorite Things.

Later this afternoon I was able to put my card together, add some sparkle with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker and call it done.

I'm going to link this card up over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. This week's challenge is called: What's Your Favorite? (technique or product). I have to say my current favorite technique is creating my own watercolor background.  Super easy (even I can do it) and I really love the look. I am using less and less patterned paper these days because I am hooked on this technique.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day and I'll see you soon....

You're Amazing

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
How has your Monday been?  Mine has been a bit crazy...but..it's a Monday...what can you do?  If you're like me, sneak away to your Studio and get inky - sure makes my stress level go down.

After sneaking away for a bit I managed to put together this fun card....

And...speaking of stress...watercoloring has become my newest obsession and stress reliever.  Once I finally accepted the fact that watercolor is not meant to be perfect, I fell in love with the technique!

These adorable flowers are from the Doodle Buds stamp set by WPlus9.  After stamping them on watercolor paper I used the following Distress Inks to watercolor the images:
Mowed Lawn
Twisted Citron
Picked Raspberry
Worn Lipstick
Spiced Marmalade
Mustard Seed
Mermaid Lagoon (background)

The sentiment is from the Written In Watercolor stamp set by My Favorite Things.
I traced over the sentiment with a Black Wink Of Stella Glitter Marker for a bit of sparkle and added a few sequins here and there.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - let's hope for a stress-free Tuesday!

Hay There!

Hello (or in this case, Hay There) and welcome to Studio 5380.
Happy weekend to you!

I have been working on a card for the current My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge for the past few days. I've worked on bits and pieces of it over several days creating the background, coloring the images for the front of my card and finally the inside. Today I had a chance to put all the elements together and came up with this fun card....

These cute farm critters are from the stamp set The Whole Herd by My Favorite Things.
The background was created with the "Cow Print" stencil by MFT.

The inside of my card is decorated with this darling little horse who is part of The Whole Herd stamp set. I totally ♥ him.  After cutting my mat from the Cow Print background, I had a tiny strip left over so I added that to the inside of my card for an added pop of color.

I used about a bazillion Copic markers on these fun images and while I still see lots of room for improvement, I'm pretty happy with the way my barnyard buddies turned out.

So, that's about it for me today. I'm off to link up my card with the Sketch Challenge, but before I go, I will leave you with a photo of the sketch in case you want to play along....

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you soon....

You're A Star!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

I hope your week is going well for you. Today is our last day of VBS 2015 and I'm going on adrenaline and caffeine at this point!  It's been a great VBS, but this is one tired Nonna!  Anyway, with all of this going on, I am happy to say that I am still hanging in there with The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge created by Kathy at The Daily Marker.

I've got a card to share with you today that has been inked up a little at a time over the last couple of days as part of this challenge. I'm pretty happy with the way it finally all came together....

This one has lots of goodies from Lawn Fawn:
* So Jelly Stamp Set
* Life Is Good Stamp Set
* Stitched Rectangles Die Set

My ocean background was created with Simon Says Stamp ink in Maliblue and Island Blue.  I used Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy for the ocean floor.

After the inks dried, I spritzed on a bit of shimmer with Tattered Angels Glitter Mist in Iridescent Gold.

All of the cute little sea critters got a hit of Clear Wink of Stella Glitter and I added a few iridescent sequins here and there for a final touch.

Okay, that's it for me today! I'm off to rest up for our final night of VBS.  Have a great day and I'll be seeing you soon....

You're The Coolest

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope your week is going well for you.  This is a super busy week for us - our VBS program started on Sunday night and runs through Thursday night so it is full speed ahead around here!  Last night I had the pleasure of being the "leader" of 18 three and four year olds.  I used the world "leader" very loosely...imagine trying to herd cats from one room to another!

So, after a couple cups of coffee and a dose of Aleve this morning, I thought I would finish up a card that I started a couple of days ago.  I used lots of ink and the cutest little penguin ever for this one....

This little guy is seriously cute!

The penguin, palm tree, beach ball and sentiment are all from the new Penguins In Paradise stamp set by My Favorite Things.  I used Blueprints 13 and 21 to create my card mat and the sun. I also used one of the dies to create a mask so that I could ink up my "island".

In the above photo you can see the paper masks I created to ink up my tropical scene. After cutting them out, I just taped them onto my cardstock and inked up each portion using the following inks:

* Water - Simon Says Stamp - Maliblue and Island Blue (gorgeous colors)
* Island - Distress Ink - Brushed Corduroy and Tea Dye
* Sun - Lawn Fawn - Sunflower and Distress Ink - Marmalade

As usual, I was unable to capture the sparkle of my Wink of Stella glitter, but the sun, ball and float all have a nice shine.  I added a few sparkly "coconut" enamel dots from Doodlebug to the palm tree and called it done!

Thanks so much for stopping by today - you really are the coolest!

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
So, how's your weekend going?  So far, so good around here.  I'm spending the day doing things that I love - sipping iced coffee in my jammies and working with some fun stamps and pretty inks. The day doesn't get much better than that!

There is a super fun Hop going on right now called the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and the ladies who put this together have really outdone themselves!  Lots of wonderful inspiration and amazing give-aways...you don't want to miss this. And, the fun part is that anyone can play along. Just create a summer themed coffee card and link up!

I ordered the Fresh Brewed Blueprint stamps from Tim Holtz a while back and thought this would be the perfect time to pull those cuties out....

I couldn't stop with just one, so I made a whole set!
I stamped the coffee images on watercolor paper and "watercolored" them with Distress Inks.

All of the sentiments are from the My Favorite Things stamp set, Clearly Sentiment About Coffee.

It's hard to tell in the photo, but this one got a hit of clear Wink of Stella on the whipped cream.

I added a strip of bold, black and white graphic paper along the side of each card and popped the panel up onto the card base with foam tape.

All this coffee makes me very happy ♥
Be sure to check out the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you soon....

I've got a spot in my heart for you ♥

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm writing this at 11:00 Wednesday night and I'm really tired so you're in luck - this one will be short and sweet!  This card was made with my first ever stamp set from Mama Elephant and I'm pretty sure it won't be my last set from Mama Elephant.....

This adorable little pup is one of several from the Playful Pups stamp set. The set also includes some sweet sentiments, a bone, food dish, those super sweet paw prints and more.

I colored the images with Copic Markers and added a bit of Glossy Accents to the pup's nose.
The paw prints inside the shaker were stamped in black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used white sequins and micro beads inside the shaker window.

Okay, short and sweet just like I promised!
Have a great day and I'll see you soon....

You Are My SUPERHERO

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I'm really glad that you stopped by for a visit today!

Father's Day is just around the corner and I've got a fun project for the "Superhero" in my life...

I started with a small, plain paper mache box that I picked up from Hobby Lobby.  I covered the sides and top with some red, white and blue prints from Doodlebug.  Next, I stamped and colored this darling little Superhero from the Super Boy stamp set by My Favorite Things.

After coloring and cutting out my little guy, I added some foam tape and adhered him to the lid. You can't tell in the photo, but the yellow portions of his costume are covered with Clear Wink of Stella glitter. Even a Superhero needs a bit of sparkle!

I wanted to dress up the inside of my box also....

Using a sentiment from the same stamp set, I stamped with clear Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  As a final touch, I added a few enamel stars from Doodlebug. I just need to add a gift card and I'm all done!

Thanks again for stopping by today. Take care and I'll see you soon....
