Christmas, Coffee and Vinyl

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380!

Wow...I can't believe how long it has been since my last post! I just don't seem to be able to find much crafty time these days. This is the first Christmas in many years that I did make handmade Christmas cards for everyone on my list. Believe it or not, I actually (shudder) purchased (shudder) boxed, mass-produced, generic Christmas cards this year!  I know, right?!  I definitely need to get better organized and work on Christmas cards throughout the new year - can't let that happen again!

I did, however, manage to make a few special Christmas gifts this year.  I had fun creating something cute for the coffee drinkers in my family...

Truer words were never spoken.

Unless, of course, these words are spoken.

I found these great glass canisters at Walmart and vinyled them up for my son and his sweet girlfriend. The sentiments are found in the Silhouette Online Store.  I filled the canisters with personalized coffee cups, all kinds of coffee, chocolates and a Starbucks gift card.

Here's a photo of the coffee cups.

How adorable are these two?!

And, last but not least, here's the one I made for my Mama (sorry about the glare).

Thanks again for stopping by today.
Have a great weekend and a Happy New Year!

Believe

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope your week is off to a great start! I got a bit of Christmas shopping done today and still found some time to finish up a card.  The laundry, however, is still in the basket waiting to be folded and put away.  But, it's not going anywhere so I'll get to it eventually...I have Christmas cards to make!

So...here's the card I finished up today:

Products used for this card:
* Believe Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp
* Christmas Town Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp
* Stitched Basic Edges Die Set by My Favorite Things
* Blue Prints 21 by My Favorite Things

My background was created with Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet.  All images are colored with Copic Markers.  I added a bit of shimmer with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Marker.

I'm going to add my card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  The current challenge is Ice and I'm hoping my snowy scene qualifies!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hot Cocoa Anyone?

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
It's been a while since my last post. Life has been crazy busy lately leaving me very little time to work on all the projects that I have floating around in my head!  I made a little time a few days ago to create this coffee/cocoa set for my sweet hairdresser and his equally sweet wife:

The tray and pretty cups are from Hobby Lobby.
The font I used is from the Silhouette Online Store.

I love these fun, oversized cups and the font is super cute.

And, of course, I had to vinyl up the tray as well!

My bow is looking a bit wonky in this photo!  I placed everything into a cellophane gift bag and tied it up with red and green tulle.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon...

Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Wow...can you believe that November is almost gone?  My creative time has been very limited lately and I just sort of realized that I really need to get busy on Christmas projects. So, in need of motivation, I thought I would play along with the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  The challenge is Christmas To Die For - use a die or punch to decorate a Christmas project.

Needing to work on my Christmas card stash, I decided to make a card for this challenge:

Here's a list of products used for my card:
* Holiday Frames Die by Simon Says Stamp
* Ready, Set, Snow Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp
* Merry and Bright Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp
* Holiday Hellos Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp
* Santa Express Paper Pad by Doodlebug
* Enamel Accents by Ranger
* Copic Markers

I also added a bit of red twine and pretty green jingle bell to finish up this sweet card.
Thanks again for stopping by today. I know how crazy busy everyone is during this busy time of the year and I really appreciate your visits and kind comments.

I'm off to link up my card at Simon Says Stamp. Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you soon!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

I have a couple of fun Thanksgiving treats to share with you:

I have a long list of stamps and dies I used to create these sweet treats:
*Candy Caddy Die by Jaded Blossom
* Candy Wrap Dies by Jaded Blossom
* Stitched Hillside Borders by Lawn Fawn
* Thankful Mice Stamp Set by Lawn Fawn
* Holiday Party Animal Stamp Set by Lawn Fawn
* Harvest Season Stamp Set by Lawn Fawn

I filled my Candy Caddies with Hershey Nuggets wrapped with coordinating patterned paper.

Here's a photo of the pretty candies...yummy!
I used tiny self-adhesive magnets as a closure on the caddies.

That about wraps it up for me today.  I really need to get off this computer and back to the kitchen! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your loved ones. Be sure to remember your many blessings and give thanks for each and every one.  See you soon!

Merry Little Christmas

Hi there!
Thanks so much for stopping by Studio 5380 today.

It's another "one of those days" with very little play time so I'm going to get right to it! Today I'm sharing a fun, interactive card:

I created my background with some Distress Ink. Once it was dry, I used the Star Celebration stencil from My Favorite Things and embossing paste to create my night sky.  I also used the Surf & Turf Dienamics die set to create the channel in my cardstock so that my little red car can travel.

In this photo you can see the car traveling down the road!
I used the following Lawn Fawn products for this sweet little scene:

* Home for the Holiday stamp set
* Merry Messages stamp set
* Little Town Border die set
* Stitched Hillside Borders die set

And, here's the inside of my card.

Okay, that about wraps it up for today!
Thanks again for stopping in for a visit. Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you soon!

Thanks A Bushel

Hi there!
Welcome to Studio 5380 and thank you for stopping in for a visit.

I've been trying to keep up with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge (you can see details here) but I've already missed a few days...just not enough hours in my day.  I love the challenge of trying to find a few minutes everyday to color and wanted to try a few things out of my comfort zone while playing along.  I love the look of coloring on kraft paper and have played around a bit in the past so I thought I would give it another go...

I thought the current Lawnscaping Challenge (Clean and Simple) would be perfect for working on my kraft paper skills.

This sweet image and fun sentiment is from the Thanks A Bushel stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

Here's a photo of the inside of my card.

And there we go!  I still need a lot of practice, but I do love this technique.

Thanks again for stopping by today.  I'm off to link up my card at the Lawnscaping Challenges Blog:

Thanks and Giving

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you had a great weekend and things are going smoothly for you on this Monday.  My weekends are pretty busy with my job as part of the Children's Ministry Team and for once in my life I can say I actually look forward to Mondays!  Never thought I would here myself say that!  I'm  still trying to find that perfect balance of work, taking care of my home and family and finding a little "me-time".  Right now I'm thinking Monday may just the perfect day for some "me-time", definitely something to feel thankful for!  So, let me show you what I've been working on this morning:

I very often have a hard time with knowing when to stop on a card!  The sentiment and sweet image from the "Be Full" stamp set by Neat & Tangled seems so perfect and meaningful to me. I didn't want to add a lot of embellishments to take away from the beautiful message, so I stopped after adding a bit of Wink of Stella glitter and Gold Stickles.

After stamping the image, I used rubber cement to mask the pumpkin and leaves then air brushed the background with a light aqua Copic Marker.  My mat is cut out with a Cross Stitch Rectangle Die from My Favorite Things.

The plaid print is from the Perfectly Plaid Fall paper pack by Lawn Fawn.

Okay, that's about it for now. I still have lots to do on my Monday.  I hope you have a great day and I appreciate your visit - see you soon...

Love & Thanks

Hello, hello!
Welcome to Studio 5380 - thanks for dropping by.

I was so happy to see the beginning of the November 30 Day Coloring Challenge. The oh, so talented Kathy Racoosin of The Daily Marker never ceases to amaze with her gorgeous work and always leaves me feeling inspired. I have been lacking in both inspiration and motivation since going back to work part time. I probably will not be able to play along every day of this challenge, but I'm hoping to rekindle my love of coloring, crafting and creating during this time!

So, for day one of the challenge, I colored a pretty fall background using images from the "Fall Friends" stamp set by My Favorite Things. On day two, I colored a few more images from this set and die cut them to create a sweet shaker card:

I love all these fun fall images!

The sentiment is from the "Geometric Greenery" stamp set, also by MFT Stamps.

And...the inside of my card.

That's about all from me today.
Thanks again for stopping by, I always appreciate your visits and sweet comments! Have a great day and I hope to see you again soon!

Trust in the Lord

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
It's my turn to post on the SRM Stickers Blog today and I thought I would share my card with you here as well.  I created a colorful fall wreath using a Lawn Fawn Die and some pretty twine:

Next, I stamped a meaningful sentiment using the SRM Clear Stamp Set, Trust in the Lord.

I added a few enamel dots in pretty autumn colors to finish up my card.

Thanks again for dropping by today! I always appreciate your visits and sweet comment.  Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you soon...

Happy Fall

Hello everyone and welcome to Studio 5380.

It's my turn to post on the SRM Stickers Blog and I have a sweet fall gift box to share with you:

I started with the 6 X 4.5 inch Kraft Box and decorated with pretty papers, die cuts, burlap and stamps.  You can see all the details on my post at SRM Stickers Blog.

And, of course, what's a fall gift box without a few gifts?....

This was a fun project to make and has me in the mood for some fall weather.  It just takes a little longer to arrive here in south Alabama, but I"ll be prepared!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon...

A Halloween Hello

Hi there!
Welcome to Studio 5380, I'm so glad you stopped by.

I recently came across a yummy Halloween treat and knew that I had to buy them because I had the perfect stamp set to package them with. Is is bad when you find yourself purchasing treats to match your stamp stash?  Maybe not bad...but definitely a sign of being a stampaholic!

Anyway, these cute little Frankenstein Peeps teamed up perfectly with the "Frightful Friends" stamp set by My Favorite Things...

Hard to photograph (sorry about the glare), but pretty cute!

I used several products from My Favorite Things to create these treat bags:
* Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die
* Grassy Edges Die
* Frightful Friends Stamp Set

These fun treats will be going to a few of my favorite little monsters very soon!

Thanks again for dropping by for a visit.
Have a great day and I'll see you soon.
