Wishing You A Day That Sparkles

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday and are ready to get this Monday started!

Have you noticed the current unicorn craze? I'm seeing unicorns everywhere these days and some of them are so, so cute.  I recently ordered the adorable "Unicorn Wishes" stamp set from Reverse Confetti and though I would color him up for their current sketch challenge:

I had so much fun working with all these bright, happy colors.
These great prints are from the "Hello Sunshine" paper pad from Doodlebug.

I used Distress Inks in "Spiced Marmalade" and "Picked Raspberry" to add those vibrant colors to my top mat.  The mats are all cut with various rectangle and square dies.

The grass and tree top are paper pieced. All other images are colored with Copic Markers and covered with clear Wink of Stella Glitter (which I can never seem to capture in my photos).

Thanks so much for coming by today. I always enjoy your visits and sweet comments.
I'm off to link up my card over at the Reverse Confetti Blog - have a great day and I'll see you soon.

Squishy Hugs

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for stopping by on this wet, rainy Saturday morning in southeast Alabama.  It's been raining pretty steady all morning and I'm working on yet another cup of coffee.  Looks like it will be the perfect crafting day ♥

I have another "Peeps" project to share with you today...because, seriously...Peeps in gingham bow ties?  Who could resist?....

I used several products for these sweet tags:
* My Favorite Things Tag Builder Blueprints 4
* My Favorite Things Farm Fresh Gingham Paper Pack
* Lawn Fawn Grassy Borders Die
* Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep Stamp Set

I colored the Peeps with Copic Markers, ran them through my Xyron Create-A-Sticker and sprinkled on lots of Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter.

I adhered the first Peep onto the tags with glue and added foam tape to the second Peep to add a little bit of dimension to each tag.

These fun little tags were quick and easy to put together!
Thanks again for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful day (rain or shine)!

Easter Blessings

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.

It's Wednesday and time for another sketch challenge over at Paper Play Sketches.  As always, Janis has created another wonderful sketch for us to play along with.  And, here's my card...

This sweet little girl is an older La-La Land Stamp called Easter Marci.

The image and grass are colored with Copic Markers.
The sentiment is from an old Peachy Keen Stamps set.

For the inside of my card, I colored some grass and added this pretty Easter egg (also from and older Peachy Keen Stamps set).

And, there you go!
  I hope you will stop by the Paper Play Sketches Blog to see what the other Designers have created to inspire you.  Then, go...get creative and be sure to link up your creation. We can't wait to see what you create!

Have A Magical Day!

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's been a busy Monday around here with no inky time (insert sad face here).  But, I did get a card finished up this weekend to share with you today.  This one involved lots of inky fun...

My background mat was created with watercolor paper and Distress Inks in the following colors:
* Dusty Concord
* Wilted Violet
* Salty Ocean
After the Distress Inks were dry, I gave the mat a spritz of Gold using Heidi Swapp Color Shine. Next, I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment.

This beautiful unicorn is from the "Magical Unicorn" stamp set by "Your Next Stamp".  I colored her with Copic Markers, added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella glitter and added the image to my mat with foam tape for a little dimension.

The card base was created with "Gold Sparkle" cardstock by My Favorite Things and the "Scalloped Rectangle" die set from Lawn Fawn.  I also cut out a few stars to add to the magical feeling!

And, here's a peek at the inside.

Okay, that's about it for me today.
Thanks again for stopping in for a visit. Have a good night and I'll see you soon.

Peep Filled Marshmallow Hugs

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.

I hope you've had a great Friday and are ready for the weekend.  I'm going to try to finish up the last of my Easter projects so that I can play with some of the stamps I've added to my collection recently. So many stamps...so little time...sigh.

One of my favorite new sets has to be the adorable "My Kind of Peep" from Simon Says Stamp. These little guys are so cute and just perfect for Easter. I had a few cuties left over from the treat bags I made a few days ago (you can see them here) so I decided to use them on a quick and easy card...

I used my Zig Clean Color Markers to quickly watercolor a background.  Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies from Lawn Fawn, I cut out my mat and colored in my sentiment.

I added some bright green twine, my peeps and a few sequins to my background. Next, I adhered it to the purple mat cut with a die from the My Favorite Things Blueprint 27.

This one was super fast and easy and I think it turned out pretty cute!
Those little Peeps just make me happy ♥

Thanks so much for dropping in.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you soon!

Spring Shaker Tags

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.

I hope your day is off to a great start!
I'm popping in with a quick post to share these fun springtime shaker tags...

These cute watercolor panels were included in the last Stamp of the Month Kit from Simon Says Stamp.  They are printed on watercolor paper and measure about 4.25 by 5.5.  Perfect for a card, but I decided to pull out my Fuze tool and do something a little different.

I used my Zig Clean Color Watercolor Markers to paint these cuties and let them air dry.

I used some old notebook sized page protectors that I had lying around to create the pockets for my tags.  I added some fun sequins before closing up the top then punched a couple of holes to run my twine through.  Ta - da....fun shaker tags!

Okay, short and sweet today!
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon!

Lawnscaping Challenge #125

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you've had a great weekend. It's been beautiful here and I spent some time outside washing the pollen off the porches and re-potting some flowers.  Spring has sprung in southeast Alabama!

I also had a chance to play along with the "Color Splash" challenge going on over at the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog.  The challenge is to use black and white with a splash of color....

I used several Lawn Fawn products to create my treat bags:
* Tote Bag die
* Stitched Rectangles die set
* Scalloped Rectangles die set
* Flutter By stamp set
* Hello Sunshine stamp set

I colored the images with Copic Markers and added a bit of shimmer with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker.

A few sequins were my only embellishment.

I really like the size of these little Tote Bags - perfect for a gift card or other small treat.

And, now I'm off to link up my bags at the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog:

Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you soon!

You're My Kind of Peep!

Hi there!
Welcome to Studio 5380, thanks for dropping in.

I've got a sweet Easter treat to share with you today. I finally had a chance to play with the oh, so cute stamp set, "My Kind of Peep" from Simon Says Stamp. This is such a fun stamp set and just perfect for the sweet Easter treats I made for my grands...

Seriously, how cute are these little Peeps?

Along with the SSS stamp set, I used several products to create these:
* Treat bags - Silhouette Online Store
* Gingham paper - My Favorite Things
* Grass - Lawn Fawn "Grassy Borders" die
* Banner - Lawn Fawn "Borders" stamp set

After watercoloring my peeps and die cutting them, I ran each peep through My Xyron sticker maker and covered them with Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter.

A few enamel dots and a tulle bow were my final embellishments. And, of course, I added a yummy box of "Peeps" to each treat bag!

I'm going to be linking up my project to the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #40
(Sparkle and Shine).

Thanks again for stopping by today.
Have a good one and I'll see you soon!

Here is my card for the Sketch 003:

These sweet images and sentiments are from a couple of Lawn Fawn sets:

My images are colored with Copic Markers with a touch on clear Wink of Stella on the hats and horn. And, I just had to add that fun little pom pom onto the birthday bear's party hat!

I try to keep the inside of my cards just as festive as the outside!

And, here's this week's sketch:

Happy Birthday to Ewe

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Happy Monday to you!

Today I am sharing a sweet card that I worked on during the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  I worked on the background one day and the images another.  I finally put everything together and I think it turned out pretty cute...

The images and sentiment used on this card are from the My Favorite Things stamp set, Ewe Are The Best and are all colored with Copic Markers.

The background of my card was water colored with Distress Inks.

I added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to the clouds and a few blue sequins to finish up my card.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Forever Friends

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit today!

I've got a fun card to share with you today. I made a huge mess while working on the background for this card, but I had a lot of fun while making that mess! I actually tossed my first attempt and wasn't sure about the second attempt, but decided to go with it. After putting everything together, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out....

I started with the Blueprints 13 Die Set from My Favorite things to create my cardbase and tag.

Then things got messy.  No pictures of the mess because I wanted to get things cleaned up quickly before the embossing paste dried on everything. But, here are the tools I used...

First, I spritzed on a bit of Dylusions Ink Spray in Black Marble. While that dried, I mixed some embossing paste with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. After achieving the color I wanted, I used the My Favorite Things stencil, Snowfall, to add the embossing paste.

You can really see the texture in this photo...

I used a couple of stamp sets from My Favorite Things to embellish my tag. The shamrocks are from the "Lucky" stamp set and the sentiment is from "Label Maker Love".  A bit of twine and a few sequins finished off the front of my card.

The inside of my card is finished simply with another sentiment and the tiny 4 leaf cloves from the MFT stamps "Lucky" stamp set.

 I"ll be linking up my card with a couple of challenges:
