Sending Love Your Way

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  My Saturday started off with some of my favorites, coffee, breakfast with my hubby and spending the morning in my studio.....life is good ♥

So, on with my post - I've really been loving the July Stamp of the Month Kit from Unity Stamps. It is full of beautiful images and sweet sentiments.  I created today's card using one of the images and my sentiment is from the Unity Stamp set, "Sending My Love"....

I seem to have gotten away from using patterned paper on my cards lately and forgot how much fun it is to mix and match prints and colors. These papers are from an old paper pad from My Mind's Eye called "Lost & Found".

My image is colored with Copic Markers.

As a finishing touch, I added a few "Sparkling Crystals" from Studio Katia.

That's about it for me today.
Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Embrace Your Inner Flamingo

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380 - happy Saturday to you!

I've got a short (but sweet) post to share with you today.  This afternoon I sat down with some new stamps and pulled out my neglected Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to create this sweet card...

The image is from the July 2018 (stand tall) Kit of the Month from Unity Stamps.  The images in this month's set are absolutely gorgeous and I really love this flamingo.

After water-coloring my image, I added a little bling with a stencil and Nuvo Mousse in Indian Gold.

As I was lifting off my stencil, I smeared the mousse a little on the bottom :(
I seriously considered tossing the whole panel into the trash, but talked myself out of it.

Okay, that's it for me tonight.
Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Have A Magical Day!

Hi there!
Welcome to Studio 5380 and thank you so much for stopping by.

I have always been a fan of Stamping Bella stamps, but have also always been a little bit intimidated by the detailed designs. Recently I decided to just get over it and give it a try and I'm so glad that I did! I ordered several of their rubber stamps (which stamp beautifully by the way) and had so much fun coloring them up. Here's my first completed card...

My background was created with the "Little Bits Fairy House" stamp and those adorable fairies are from the "Little Bits Fairy Set". Aren't they cute?

I used Distress Inks and the MFT "Mini Cloud Edges" stencil for the background.
My sentiment is from the "Fairy Friends" stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

My images are colored with Copic Markers and I added a few details with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils.  Adding colored pencils to my Copic colored images is also something that I have wanting to try. I definitely need more practice, but so far, I'm liking the results.

I finished up my card with a bit of Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter on the fairy wings and a few clear sequins scattered  here and there.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
I always appreciate your visits and sweet comments ♥

MFT Sketch Challenge #392

Hello and welcome to Studio 5380.
Happy Friday to you!

Wow...it feels great to be somewhat settled into our new home and to have a little time to get inky again! I haven't played along with a challenge in a very long time and I totally enjoyed pulling out my stamps and Copic markers to play along with the current My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge.  I'm a little rusty and out of practice with my coloring but I hope to get my mojo back soon!

So, here we go...my card for Sketch Challenge #392:

I used the following MFT products:
*Doodled Blooms stamp set and dies
*Essential Sentiments stamp set
*Blueprints 23 die set
*Stitched Basic Edges dies set

My images are colored with Copic markers and I gave them a bit of shimmer with a Crystal Clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush.

As a finishing touch, I added a few sequins from the Pink Lemonade Sequin Mix by Neat & Tangled.

And now I'm off to link up my card.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to see you soon!
