Bunco!

Hello everyone and happy Friday to you!  Fridays are just fabulous aren't they?  Did you know that they are also Festive?  Just stop by My Cricut Craft Room where every Friday is Festive Friday and see what I mean!

Have you ever played Bunco?  It's a fun, fast game played with 12 people and 3 dice and if you've never tried it...well...you are just missing out! You need to get yourself invited to join a group or start a group of you own.  I play with 11 of the sweetest, most supportive, fun-loving gals you will ever meet!  We play once a month and rotate homes so that everyone only has to play hostess once a year. We eat, we talk, we catch up each other's lives, we play some Bunco...and did I mention...we eat? And the food...oh my goodness at the food some of these ladies prepare!   Now, everyone in my group knows that I am NOT a cook!  I don't even try to compete with the dishes some of these ladies come up with.  I'll leave the fancy cooking with them and I'll just concentrate on the invites!

Our Bunco group will be meeting at my house in October.  I still have no idea what I will be serving them, but I do have the invitations ready...

To create my invites I started with black, pre-made cards I found at Michael's.  The printed cardstock is from the fun paper stack Ghosts & Goblins from DCWV.  I wanted the invites to be basically the same, but I did mix up the papers a bit.  I'm not very good at creating exact duplicates (short attention span I guess).   Here's a close up of one of the invites...

Recipe:
* I distressed the edges of my cardstock and inked up the edges with black ink.
* The mat for my stamp is the Nestabilities die Deckled Mega Rectangle.  This also got inked up.
* That cute little witch is from the stamp set Wicked by Close To My Heart.
* I cut my letters for the word Bunco using Cricut's Happy Hauntings.  I used the "Spooky Font" and cut  each letter from glittery black paper at 1 inch.
* Finishing touches were the black pearls from Recollections and the trim is also by Recollections.  The fuzzy trim and the bat trim were together (along with a couple other trims) I bought on clearance after Halloween last year.

Here's one with the bat trim along the side...

And this photo will give you an idea of the color schemes I used...

And last, but not least, a sample of what the inside will look like...

Ok, that wraps up my Festive Friday project for today!  I hope you will hop on over to My Cricut Craft Room to see what the other designers have in store for you today!  Have a wonderful weekend and seriously...look into a Bunco group..you'll love it!

Until next time,

  11. What fun invites! I love that witch stamp and the fun papers you used. The font is spooktacular! I played BUNCO once a LONG time ago, and it was so fun! You don't have to think too hard either, which made it even more fun!
