"Christmas is Grand" Mini Memory Album

Hello Everyone!  Did you hear the big sigh of relief from me a couple of hours ago?  I finally finished what I "think" is the last handmade gift of this season!  I say this knowing that it's probably not true, but I'm hopeful that I haven't forgotten anyone at this point!  Anyway, this gift is going to a very good friend who loves, loves, loves her grandchildren!  I know she always looks forward to spending the holidays with them and will enjoy adding her Christmas pictures of her little ones to this cute little album!

I started out with one of those little mini chipboard albums from Michael's dollar bin.  This one is 6 inches by 6 inches.  I covered front and back of each page in cute Christmas paper from DCVW and K & Company.  Then I sanded and inked all the edges.  For the cover page, I used a computer generated sentiment "Christmas is Grand" and cut it out using a Nestabilities die cut.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but in each corner I placed a bell that is made into a brad...very cute!

Pages 1 and 2 - I ran my picture mats through the Cuttlebug, inked the edges and added some ribbon on the corners.  The stockings are cut from metallic paper and are very shiny!  These cuts are from "Jolly Holidays".

Pages 3 and 4 - I used coordinating paper and added a ribbon to cover where they join.  The picture mats are cut from metallic paper and Nestabilities.  The snowmen are from "Winter Frolic".  I added goggle eyes and lots of Stickles and pop-dotted them up.  The snowflakes are from an old punch that I have had for years.  I added Stickles to the center of each snowflake.

Pages 5 and 6 - I think these are my favorite pages because I just love this Santa!  I double matted the photo mat, adding faux stitching lines and ribbon on the corners.  The reindeer is from "Doddlecharms".  I used some beads for his eyes and red Stickles for his nose.  The Santa is also from "Doddlecharms".  I used red metallic paper for his hat and ran his beard through my Cuttlebug using "Divine Swirls".  I added MS glitter to the white parts of his hat and the snowflakes are buttons.  The mat under Santa was cut from the pre- loaded designs on the Imagine and of course I inked up everything!

Pages 7 and 8 - I was also very pleased with how these pages turned out!  I double matted and inked up the photo mats, using brads in the corners.  The Christmas tree and presents are all cut from "Winter Frolic".  I used lots of Stickles and Glossy Accents on the tree and gifts.

Back Cover -  For the back of this memory book, I stitched a pocket on my sewing machine to hold a journaling tag.  This way, my friend can jot down dates, places and any info she would like to remember about this Christmas with her grands.  The tag is cut from the tag feature on "Winter Frolic" as is the phrase "Sweet Memories".  The holly is from a MS punch.  I added Stickles for the holly berries and Glossy Accents to the holly leaves.  Ribbon and a large button topped everything off!

Now to get this wrapped and into the mail...I hope my special friend enjoys this gift.  Mini albums are one of my favorite things to make...so many options!  I hope you enjoyed my mini album!  Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful day!
