Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
I hope your week is going well.  So far, so good in my little corner.  Well, I have really slacked off on getting my Christmas cards ready for this year and thought I better get back to it!  I can't believe that Thanksgiving is just a week away!  So much to do and so little time to get it done!  Ok, here's another card to add to my stash...

I worked with this card and worked with this card!  It's really a simple card, but it just would NOT come together for me for some reason.  I changed the papers, I changed the mats, I changed the embossing...ugh! Did you ever have one of those days?  After starting and re-starting several times, I think I like the card I finally ended up with...

* Papers - Paper Studio - I Believe In Santa  stack and Recollections - Jolly & Bright stack
* I used Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Rectangles to mat my holly leaves.  The white layer was embossed with the Sizzix folder Scallops and Lines.  The red layer was embossed with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots folder.
* The holly image is from Cricut's Joys of the Season cartridge and is cut at 2.5 inches.
* Sentiment mat is cut from Cricut's Art Philosophy cartridge.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Scripted Year from Pink By Design.
* I added red Stickles to my holly berries and the red layer of my sentiment mat.  A bit of ric rac and a couple of gems finish off my card.

I hope you enjoyed your visit with me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope to have more Christmas cards to share with you soon.

Until next time,

  1. I think your card ended up looking very pretty and festive! Yes, I have had too many of those days! Know exactly what you mean when it just won't come together for you! You did good!--Pat N.

  2. I love the card! The amount of detail you put into it should make the recipient feel very special.
    Please keep sharing with us.

  3. Very pretty! Love the papers and embossing!

  4. This card is too sweet looking to have given you such fits! The paper is adorable and so is the embossing. Love the ric rac too. I refuse to believe this card playing anything but nice. :)

  5. This is just beautiful!!! I looooove the polka dot paper!! Love the scallops and embossing. The sentiment piece is fantastic and I just love the rick rack! Awesome card!!!!!! :)

  6. It's just SO pretty! It sure doesn't look like it was a struggle. Hee! Hee! ...and YES! I had one of those days on Tuesday. Trying and trying to get things done and my Anniversary E2 died! Now it's on it's way to the hospital via FedEx. I had to dust off the old girl (Original E) and she has never let me down. I was back up and running in a few minutes. So thankful I didn't get rid of her. I just didn't have the heart to. We have been friends for SO long now. Hee! Hee! Love your card! Can't wait to see the next one!

  7. Bea-u-ti-ful!!!! I LOVE it!!!! :) ♥ Laura ♥

  12. It turned out lovely Tanya! The colors are great! I do know how you feel and I think we all go through it off and on with projects.

  13. I love the card, think it looks great! I often start a card one way, then it ends up looking nothing like how it started.
