Sweet Baby Gift

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380.
I hope you are having a wonderful day!

It's been awhile since my last post and I've been missing my crafty time.  I've taken on a new role at our church and I'm still trying to find my groove.  Along with two other wonderful ladies (and sweet friends), I am now part of the Children's Ministry Team at my church.  We will be taking care of classes, teachers and events for our children from nursery to 5th grade.  It's a big undertaking, but those children are so worth it!  I'm hoping the three of us will settle into a routine soon and I'll be able to spend more time in my Studio, doing my thing!

So, one of my new responsibilities as part of the team is to prepare gift baskets for the new babies in our congregation. Can I just tell you how much I love this?  I'm thinking something like this will be one item to go into each gift basket....

I used the Mini Carrier cutting file from SVG Cutting Files and a sweet little sailboat I found in the Silhouette Online Store.

The letters are tiny little stickers I purchased from Hobby Lobby.

I love the touch of tulle, it just adds to the sweet factor ♥
This will go into a pretty basket filled with a soft Teddy, a "Little Lambs" New Testament Bible and a few other baby goodies.

So, I'm thinking this job is going to bring together two of my favorite things - sweet kiddos and crafting!  Sounds like the perfect job for me!  Wish me luck as I get accustomed to the working world again and I'll be dropping by to do some bloggy visits very soon!

  1. What a wonderful job to have!!!! The children are so important and it's more important that they are in church!! There are way to many that aren't!! When I have to work on Sunday, it just breaks my heart to see all of the children come into the store with their parents during church time.
I so love, love, love your little gift package!!! So adorable! And I know little Jake's mommy is going to love it too!!! :)

  6. Sounds like the PERFECT job for you! The church is so lucky to have you and this will be the best calling ever! My girlfriend just got this same calling this past month... She said she believes it will teach her more patience since she is at home dealing with a young female teenager.. oh the trying times! :) I LOVE your sweet gift... the boat is perfect and the Tulle always adds so much! Have a wonderful day!
