Ship Ahoy!

Good Morning!

Today was my DGD's first day back to school after the Christmas holidays.  She is in Kindergarten this year, but it is only a half-day program.  We have enjoyed the holidays, but I think we were both ready to get back into some sort of routine around here!  So, while she has been enjoying her morning with her friends at school, I had a few hours to get something done around here before picking her up at noon.

My Mama is, as we speak, enjoying herself (I hope) on a cruise!  I am excited for her even if I am a bit jealous!  I thought I would make her a nice welcome home card this morning while Emma is off at school.

I am very proud of the fact that I only used products that I already had on hand...including a few scraps!  I'm trying to live up to that New Year's scrapping resolution!

Paper - from my stash of  bits and pieces
Red rick-rack from my ribbon stash
Label - Nestibilities *Big Scalloped Squares - I ran the blue square through my Cuttlebug using Divine Swirls
Ship - cut at 2 inches from Cricuts "Life Is A Beach"
I pop dotted the ship to the label and the label to one half of the card so that the card will open in the center.

Inside of card:
Anchor - also cut from "Life Is A Beach" cart at 2 inches

As always, thanks for stopping by to take a peek and leaving your sweet comments!  And Mama, if you stop by...Welcome Home!

  2. This is an awesome card... I love that ship and I have Life is a Beach (I thought it would be from one of the new carts). Congrats on using scraps. (I am trying to do that a little more)
