If The Broom Fits...

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!  I hope you have been enjoying your Labor Day Weekend!  My hubby has watched football and I've been crafting...so, it's been a good one here!

It's my turn to post on the fabulous Pink By Design Blog today and I'm excited to show you my cute little Halloween card.  I am so ready for fall to arrive in our little corner of southeast Alabama, but no such luck just yet.  As I am writing this it is still 90 degrees and so, so humid!  We probably have another month or so of this weather, but I'm gonna start my fall cards anyway!  So, here we go....

For this witchy little card, I started with DCWV's paper stack Ghosts & Goblins.
I inked up the edges of my paper with black ink and started on my Cricut cuts.  Here are the cartridges, measurements and a few details:
Background mat - the mat is from Cricut's Art Philosophy cartridge.  I used the image found on page 47 and cut it out at 5.75 inches.  I covered the frame portion with Glossy Accents and added Black Licorice glitter by Martha Stewart.
* The witch is from Cricut's Wrap It Up cartridge.  She is cut out at 5.5 inches.  I used the Divine Swirls embossing folder on her dress and Forrest Branches on the broom for some dimension.  I also used a bit of green Stickles on her sock and Glossy Accents on her shoe.
* The bat trim at the top of the card is from Recollections.  They are really cute and are made of felt.
* The sentiment is from the Ghostly Greetings stamp set from Pink By Design.

Here's a closer photo of the details...

I finished up the inside of my card using an EK punch and the spider from Doodlecharms.  Here's a photo of the inside of my card along with the matching envelope...

Well, that's about all I have for you today! Thanks for stopping by, I always appreciate your visits and your sweet comments! I hope to see you over at Pink By Design soon...drop by and check out the daily inspiration by the wonderfully talented Design Team!

  17. What a fun card! That witch is just so fun and she's definitely a good witch, LOL! I love the glittering around the frame and the embossing on her dress. The inside is just as lovely!
On another note, I hope you are staying dry, but I am not sure if where you are has been hit with all that rain? My Mother-in-Law lives in Pisgah and in May, her property was hit by a tornado. Luckily, the damage to her home wasn't too bad as they didn't have to vacate, but she is still cleaning up trees on her property. Happy Fall to you Tanya, it's my favorite time of the year!

  18. Beautiful card inside and out! That's a pretty cool envelope too! I got to play with some new carts on Saturday. I was helping a friend come up with some ideas for her friend's wedding. It was fun to Cricut again, even though at home I tend to use my Silhouette for most projects.
