Sew, what's new?

Hello everyone and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
Sew, what's new with you?  Not much new around here, just busy, busy, busy!  I am working like crazy as our VBS Kick-Off party deadline gets closer and closer.  We still have so much work to do!  It's coming along pretty well, but I'm getting close to panic mode!

I had to sneak in a bit of crafting time today, I was having serious withdrawals!  I managed to put together a quick card and today's post will be a short one (lucky you) as it's back to VBS stuff as soon as I finish this up!

Ok, today's card is what I guess you would call a hybrid...part Cameo...part Cricut...

Recipe:

* The spool shaped card base is from the Silhouette Store
* I inked up the edges and wrapped some DMC embroidery floss (left overs from my cross-stitching days) around the front of the spool.
* The flower is from Cricut's "Flower Shoppe" cartridge
* I added some green Crinkle Ribbon for leaves and a button from my stash
* The pins are corsage pins that had a white pearl at the top.  I just added a couple of blue beads to one and pink beads to the other
* Sentiment is from the Pink By Design stamp set "Material Girl"

Here's a look from another angle...

Sew (sorry, I can't seem to help myself), I'm kinda liking my hybrid card!
Ok...off to work on VBS!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

Until next time,

  1. Hi Tanya,
Your blog looks fabulous sorry if it's been done for a long time I've been here and there... This card is so cute, and I've wanted to buy a cameo, but worried I wouldn't use my cricut. Thanks for sharing that you do...
