Good morning everyone and welcome!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend and are ready for another Monday, because.... it's time for another Challenge Me Monday over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and this week we have a fun challenge for you...
Challenge #106 - Buttons and Bows
Use at least one button and one bow on your project
Remember - you must have at least one Cricut cut on your project
I needed a bit of inspiration to get me going on my card, so I decided to use the lovely sketch (number 235) from the Mojo Monday blog. Using their sketch and some beautiful paper, this is what I came up with for this week's challenge...

Before I give you the "recipe" for my card, I wanted to tell you about these fun little wooden shapes I found at Michael's. Have you seen these?
The sign in the store just says "laser cut" wooden shapes. They were 99 cents each and are light as a feather. I loved the bird shapes and thought they would look nice on a card...so I bought a few!
I used my Distress Stain in "Weathered Wood" to color my cute little bird in an antique looking blue. Next I inked up the edges of the bird with "Vintage Photo" ink and gave it a spritz with some Glimmer Mist in Iridescent Gold....
After letting everything dry a bit, I still thought it needed a little something. So, I spritzed on some spray adhesive and sprinkled on some coarse glitter in Crystal. I think you can see the glitter and just how thin the wooden bird is in this photo...
Now for the rest of the card recipe:
* Sketch - Mojo Monday #235
* Papers - Recollections "Charming"
* Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities - Grand Scalloped Circles for the background mat
* Wooden bird- Michael's
* Gold Crinkle Ribbon
* Banner- Cricut's "Art Philosophy" cartridge - 3.5 inches
* Flower - Cricut's "Art Philosophy" (I used Flower 6 and cut at several different sizes)
* Button - from my button jar
* Sentiment - Pink By Design
