Hello and Welcome!
Well, I failed miserably on my "layout per week" challenge this past week. But, I do have a layout for this week...yay! The layout I have to share with you today is from Emma's swimming lessons....2 years ago! Ugh...better late than never I guess!
Emma pretty much swims like a fish and has since she was about 2 years old, but going to our local recreation center for swimming lessons each year has become a summer tradition for us. It's a great way to stay cool, have fun and learn some great water safety lessons.
Recipe:
* Girl on float - Pack Your Bags - cut at 2.5 inches
* Stars - George cut at various sizes
* Letters - Alphalicious - cut at 1.5 inches, I also used the Shadow Feature then covered each letter with MS glitter in Turquoise.
* Photo Mats - EK Success Punch, buttons from my stash and twine
* Border - Elegant Edges - Border feature from page 24 cut at "fit to length". I'm not sure what that shape is actually supposed to be, but it reminded me of the safety floats you see around pools!
* Beach Ball - Pack Your Bags cut at 2.5 inches
In this close up, you can see that I used a white gel pen to add stitching lines to the stars and the red float. I ran the water portion of the image through my Cuttlebug using the Divine Swirls embossing folder. I used a punch for the flower on the swim cap and added a gem for the center.
I love the buttons and twine on the photo mats!
Well, that's my layout for this week. Maybe I'll get this year's swimming lesson photos scrapped before Emma graduates from High School! Thanks for stopping by and visiting for a bit. I always enjoy your visits and your sweet comments!
Until next time,
Tanya
