Well, it looks like I have stumbled into a new hobby! I've been wanting to give furniture painting a try and after my first project, I'm afraid I'm hooked! I started with an old coffee table I purchased at an antique/thrift store that was inexpensive, watched lots of videos, then jumped right in!
Here's the "before" photo....

And, here comes the "after" photos....
Very simple project, but I'm loving the way it turned out!
I used all "Dixie Belle" products for my table including:
White Lightning (to clean table)
Driftwood
Mason Dixon Gray
Hurricane Gray
Gravel Road
After my paints dried, I waxed the table with Best Dang Wax in Black and sealed everything thing with Gator Hide.
I put together my fall arrangement from items purchased at Kirklands and Michaels. I love the punch of orange against the grays of my table!
Now I want to roam around all the antique/thrift stores in my area searching for my next project. But, I've gotta do the laundry :(

ReplyDeleteYour table turned out Fantastic! LOVE the color you chose to paint that table... My Sister dabbles in wood furniture and she's loving it - You will get addicted that's for sure! But I think re-purposing furniture to suit your home is such a great idea!
P.S. I got a Fabulous Fall card in the mail today! It's soooo CUTE!
I wish it was Fall too! It's still in the upper 90's here... At least I've been finding my Pumpkin Spice and Apple Cider flavors in the store and stocking up on them... It gives me the feeling of Fall when it's still Hot outside!!! AC is going right now! tehehehe Thank you for my sweet card, I LOVE it! HUGS!
