My Pink Stamper Design Team Challenge

One of my favorite blogs to visit for inspiration and information on the latest scrapbooking goodies is My Pink Stamper at http://www.mypinkstamper.com/.  Robyn has just announced that she is looking for 2 additional scrappers to join her design team for 2011.  After looking at the many wonderful projects that have already been submitted, I almost changed my mind about entering my own project!  Then I thought...oh well, what have you got to lose?  Just do it.....so here goes!

The challenge was to create a card, layout or crafty project using the colors pink, green and brown with the option of choosing another color.  I added the color blue to my project.

One of my scrapping resolutions for this year is to get caught up on my scrapbook layouts...I am so very far behind!  I had taken some pictures of my granddaughter and my hubby on our last venture to the park and thought they would look nice with the color scheme running through my head.  This is what I came up with...

Paper - Recollections Colored Core Paper Pad
I started out with a brown mat.  I used a Martha Stewart "Punch Around the Page" on the blue paper and adhered that to the brown mat.
Faux stitching around the blue mat is done with a white gel pen.
Grass - I cut 2 strips of green paper for each page, fringed the edges and inked them with Ranger Ink.

On this page, I cut the tree from "Just Because Cards".
I ran the trunk of the tree through my Cuttlebug using "Distressed Stripes" and inked it with Ranger Ink.
I used Glossy Accents to highlight the flowers on the tree and used a white gel pen around the top of the tree.
The tiny little butterfly was cut from "Serenade" at a tiny little 3/4 inch...tough to put together!
Picture frames are cut from "Cindy Lou", inked, gel pen around edges and gems added to center of flower.
The flowers at base of tree are also cut from "Cindy Lou".

On this page, I used "Give a Hoot" to cut out the birds.  I added gems for their eyes, inked them and used Glossy Accents to make them stand out a bit on the blue background.
The banner is cut from "Heritage and I added brads at both ends and used thread to run from the banner to the mouth of each bird.
I cut the birdbath from "Serenade" and ran it through my Cuttlebug using, of all things, "Animal Print".  I think it makes the bath look like it's made of stone...who knew?
The flowers on either side are from "Cindy Lou".  I inked the flowers and added gems to give them some sparkle.

Close up of bird bath...don't you think it looks like stone?

Anyway...that's my project.  I really enjoyed working on this one and used some carts that I haven't used in a very long time.  I also gave my gypsy a workout searching for images like bird baths, butterflies and frames!  I really appreciate you stopping by and as always, I look forward to your comments!
