Good morning and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
As many of you know, my Emma started the First Grade last week. And...many of you know that it was much harder on me than it was on her! Thanks for all of you for your sweet words of encouragement to this worry-wart Nonna! I'm happy to report that our Miss Emma is doing wonderfully and acts as if she has been in the First Grade forever...that's my girl!
Well, today is Tuesday which means it's time for another Card Creating Tuesday over at My Cricut Craft Room. I hope you will stop by Erica's blog and take a look at all the goodies her fabulous Design Team members have put together for you today! I am going to pick Emma up after school this Friday and she is going to spend the weekend with us (yea!). So, I thought I would make a card for her to show her how proud her Papa and I are of her. Of course...there may be a few special little treats waiting for her also...but...let's get on to my card....
Recipe:
* I covered my card in this cute paper from The Grade School Stack by DCWV.
* The white mat is cut from Cricut's Elegant Edges cartridge. I used the Oblong shape from page 37 in the handbook (use shift key to get a solid mat). This was cut at 5.25 inches.
* Next, I ran my mat through my Cuttlebug using the Number Collage folder, then inked up the edges of the mat using Ranger's Orange Marmalade ink.
* The bottle of glue is from the Cricut cartridge Nate's ABCs. I cut out the bottom layer two times an used pop dots between them to create a bit of dimension. The blue layers are inked with Ranger's Faded Jeans ink. This cut was made at 5 inches.
* That adorable little sentiment is from the Be Mine Stamp Set by Pink By Design. The bright orange twine is also available at the Pink By Design Store.
* A plain white button and a few lines with my white gel pen...and there you go!
The inside of my card got finished out with a piece of designer paper from my stash that looks like notebook paper, a punched strip of the cardstock used on the front and a bit of ink!
I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my little corner of the blogging world today! Don't forget to stop by My Cricut Craft Room and see what the Designers have waiting for you today! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon....
Until next time,
Wow!! This is SO cute!! I love everything about it!!
