Remember This

Good morning and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner, it's always nice to have visitors!
It's Monday and that means it is time for another Challenge Me Monday over at
This week's challenge is called Remember This and here are the rules:

Make something to remember a person, a special time or anniversary.
Remember to use at least one Cricut cut.
I'm really excited to share my project for this challenge with you today.
My project centers around some very special people...my grandparents.
My Mama's  parents, Marige and EJ Rasberry (better known as Nanny and Papa), played a very important part in my life.  They were wonderful, loving grandparents and I miss them dearly.  I created a two page scrapbook layout using some black and white photos that my Mama shared with me.  This project was a joy to work on and really took me down memory lane for awhile. I hope you enjoy my layout....

I really love the vintage look of this wonderful paper by K&Company.

Recipe for this page:
* Photo Frames - Heritage, charm feature - top mat cut at 6.75 inches.  Smaller frame at 4.75 inches.
* Large double mat - Elegant Edges, oblong and shadow feature cut at 10.5 inches, which I then cut in half.
* Grandfather clock - French Manor, cut at 7 inches. The tiny gold medallions are from Storybook.
After cutting them from gold cardstock, I spritzed them with Glimmer Mist for some shine.
* Corners - Storybook, cut at 2 inches.
* Ribbon - I layered an ecru lace and dark brown velvet ribbon (both purchased at HL).

Recipe for this page:
* I used the second half of the mat I created from Elegant Edges.
*  Letters for the name RASBERRY are cut from Storybook at 1 inch.
* Photo mats are from Heritage.
* Tree is also from Heritage cut at 5 inches.
* Corners are from Storybook.

I hope you have enjoyed my project for this week's Challenge Me Monday. Oh, and by the way, this is also my project for my own personal One Layout Per Week Challenge. (I managed to work in a 2 fer)!

I hope you will stop by FCCB and check out all the fabulous work by own talented Design Team members.
Once you are inspired (as I know you will be)....go....get creative...then share your work at FCCB.
I can't wait to see what you create!
Until next time,
Tanya

Thinking Of You

Happy Saturday to you and I hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day Weekend!
I have spent my morning upstairs in my craft corner playing with all my toys!
I spent most of my time working on my DT project for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.
Got that finished (hope you will drop in on Monday for a peek) and had a bit of time to work on a challenge!

I really need to build up my card supply and the challenge at More Than Favors looked like a good place to start!  This week's Wacky Wednesday challenge is a color challenge.  Your project must contain the colors
pink, brown, teal and cream.

Here is my card for this challenge...

As soon as I read the color combo, I knew this beautiful paper stack by K&Company would be perfect!
The mat is cut from Elegant Edges at 6 inches.
The bird is from Florals Embellished, cut at 3.5 inches.
I used Nestabilities for the sentiment mat.
Close up of layers.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.  Please stop back by on Monday for my DT project
which also happens to double as my scrapbook layout for the week!

Until next time,
Tanya

Scrapbook Layout For Week 1

Hello and welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner!
You know, I love participating in card and scrapping challenges.  Challenges are really great to get me thinking and get me motivated to create a project on a certain theme and before a deadline.
And, while I'm sure I will continue to play along with challenges when time permits, I think it may be time for a personal challenge of my own.
I am so very far behind on scrapbooks of my family that it's just sad. I have pictures of my two grown sons going back years that I haven't scraped.  My first grandchild is 6 1/2 and I'm a good year or so behind on her pictures.  My grandson is 2 and I'm working on pictures of him at about 4 months old.  And....we have a new grandbaby due in September!  Not to mention all the old pictures I have of me and my family while I was growing up!

All that to say...I am going to set a challenge for myself of at least one scrapbook layout a week.
This will give me plenty of time to work on my DT projects, special occasion cards and other projects.
I need you to help me and hold me accountable...if you don't see a layout from me on a weekly basis...ask me WHERE IS YOUR LAYOUT FOR THIS WEEK? ok..ok...you don't have to yell.

So...now it's out there...in blog land...no taking it back...and here's my scrapbook layout for the week....

This layout really came together pretty quickly.  I let the cute paper do a lot of the work!
The paper is DCWV Baby Boy Stack.

The cute little turtle is from Create A Critter and is cut at 2 inches.
Sentiment is from Hampton Art.
I used Nestabilities Label 6 for the mats.

For this page, I used American Alphabet for the Family cut (1.5 inches).
The snail is from Create A Critter and is cut at 1.75 inches.
Edges of all cuts were inked up with Rangers Ink and I used a bronze colored gel pen to add a few doodles here and there. I also added a few gems on the snail, sentiment label and for the i in Family.

Ok...so week 1 of my own personal challenge is finished!  I hope you enjoyed taking a peek.
I plan on being back next week with another layout (cause I don't like being yelled at)!
Have a good one and I'll see you soon!
Until next time,
Tanya

Here's my card for this week's challenge...

* Plane - Pack Your Bags cut at 2.25 inches and embossed with Diamond Plate Cuttlebug folder

Test Post

I seem to be having some posting issues this morning.
My last post published at the scheduled time, but did not show up in my Google Reader for some reason. If this post does happen to show up, I hope you will check out my layout of Blake that didn't make it to
Google Reader.  This blogging stuff makes me crazy!
Hopefully you can link to my layout here.
Thanks,
Tanya

My Sweet Blake

Hello and happy Saturday to you!
Today I have a scrapbook layout to share with you.  This layout is all about a very special little boy...
my grandson, Blake.  I am so far behind on his scrapbook...he's 2 years old and these pictures are from when he was almost 4 months old (it's not my fault...they just grow up too fast)!

Sandee, who writes the "Scappin' Saturday" segment over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, shared a wonderful source for scrapbook layouts with the DT members a couple of weeks ago.  This wonderful blog is called Page Maps and if you have never paid them a visit, you need to stop by!  Sandee also challenged the DT members of FCCB to try out one of the fabulous sketches posted at Page Maps.  This is the sketch I chose...

Isn't this a gorgeous sketch?
And, here's my take on it....

The patterned paper on my layout is from the "Nantucket Stack" by DCWV.
The navy and white paper is from Bazzill.

On this page, the red and white mats are cut from Elegant Edges at 10 inches and 6 inches.
The name Blake is cut from the font on Nate's ABCs at 1 inch.
I used Life Is A Beach for that cute little anchor.  This cut was made at 2.25 inches.

I love this little sailboat!  This cut is made at 4.25 inches and I used New Arrival.

Close up of sailboat and Blake's cute little cheeks!

Well, that's my layout!  I hope you will check out all wonderful sketches at Page Maps!
Don't forget to stop by FCCB and see the layouts by our fabulous Design Team.
Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time,
Tanya
