Good morning to you!
I hope you are having a great day. It's going to be a busy one around here.
It's that time of year...school is over in a week, VBS is just around the corner and seems like every time
I turn around, there is news of a wedding or a new baby! Emma is excited about being out of school soon.
Hubby and I are working like crazy to get our VBS set and props ready and I am really behind on both
baby and wedding cards and trying to build up my supply. And....it just so happens that
Celebrate The Occasion has a great challenge this week! Challenge #13 is
Wedding - must use ribbon.
The perfect challenge to get me moving on a stash of wedding cards! So, of course I had to stop everything else and get a card together...oh...come on....you would use it for an excuse to craft too.....
Here is my card for the challenge.....
Recipe....
* Paper - DCWV - Black Currant Stack
*Bride - Cut from Sweethearts at 3.5 inches. I added gems around the bottom of her dress, and in her bouquet. I used off-white ribbon as the streamers on her bouquet. If you look closely, you can see a tiny bit of tulle that I added for her veil.
*Black mat - Cut with Nestabilities (Labels 6) and embossed with Textile Texture embossing folder.
*I added a bow of off-white tulle and a gorgeous jeweled brad in the center of the bow. The brad is from Paper Studios, Spare Parts.
(Close up of Bride)
Ok...I have to get up and get busy now! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card!
I look forward to your visits and always enjoy your comments...you guys are the best!
Until next time,
Tanya

ReplyDeleteTanya, how did you do the Congratulation? thanks..
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies for all the sweet comments. This was a fun card to put together. Sandy, the stamp is from an old clear set of stamps and I no longer have the label...sorry. I just cut a strip of off-white cardstock, stamped the sentiment, cut points one each end. This part is hard to describe..about 1/4 inch away from the sentiment, fold your ends towards back of paper. Another 1/4 away, fold your ends towards front of paper and adhere that section to card. I hope that makes sense????
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I love your use of the tulle. I have this cartridge and need to play with it!
